The Insta360 X4 has a few great features for adding motion blur to your shots. As you can't mount ND filters to it, Insta360 has added the option to add motion blur via software, and it works pretty great, check it out!

ND Filters and right shutter looks way better in my opinion
Yes, I totally agree, mind you, this is pretty good as an alternative.
some of these shots look incredible, nice work
Thanks!
I dont understand why they just didnt make ND filters... They already have a way to add them with the lens protector mounts...
Maybe it’s something that’ll come in the future, no info on that. The motion nd works pretty well though!
idk how engineerings works but maybe the curvature of a lens with an actual coating is difficult to do?
thank you! I totally forgot about the motion ND, it would be perfect for social media like Instagram! thanks for video!
Yes! Depending on how strong you set it the effect is actually pretty cool and simulates ND filters quite well.
@@PhillipSkraba great to know!
Bro. I can’t wait to try this.
It’s so much fun out there, follow the pin 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I was about to pull the trigger on the pocket 3, and now I'm stuck again. They're both great id say, and both would work for what i intend to use them for, a mix of vlog and pov photo walks...
Any advice that could unstuck me?
Both very, very different cameras. For vlogging and pov, the Ace Pro or X4. For more "cinematic" work, the Pocket 3. The Insta360 cameras just are so durable, they work in a vlogging environment.
@@PhillipSkraba nice, thanks
As Phil have already said, these are very different cameras, so the choice should not be too difficult. If you want higher picture quality, need to shot in low light and prefer a simple point and shoot + upload workflow, then go for the Pocket 3. If you can compromise a bit on picture quality, but get some incredible perspectives and sort of a multicam setup, if you want to spend more time on editing and composing (which is super fun, but takes time), the X4 is for you. Also the latter is waterproof, and both of these are well built, but not suitable for serious action shots.
@@DFD1 I'd also add, that the image quality on both is excellent, however on the Pocket 3 we feel it's higher quality due to the smaller aperture and more bokeh, but they're really both very decent when it comes to video quality.
It is actually a usable feature, and you can add it in post, tweak it and adjust the levels in post until you get the desired effect 👍
I’ve been using it quite a lot recently and it does a pretty good job of simulating motion blur 🤘🏻
