- Most users think of social media as a tool to promote themselves; in this video Brand Strategist Phil Pallen provides four types of tweets that you should be posting to Twitter - with only one, ‘Website Link,’ being used as a tool to communicate your own brand. As he explains, social media is not a tool for broadcast, it should instead be used as a means for conversation. By using a ‘Website Link,’ it draws the audience in longer than self-promotion would. Using the ‘Quick Question’ framework as a sole way to engage allows the content creator the ability to be on or off-brand, while ‘Industry Buzz’ is an opportunity for you to reinforce the fact that you are an expert in the field you are promoting yourself in it also provides users tips and can subsequently grow your audience through retweets. Finally, Phil talks about how ‘Networking Effort’ should be the reason you are on Twitter - to meet new people and create brand awareness.

Okay but what if you don't have a brand?
The successful ones on Twitter either have a brand on Twitter or already had a brand before they started there. It is better to pick something that means a lot to you and go from there.
Post anything that supports the most extreme form of Gender identity and messed up pronouns, no matter how fucked up, Post anything that supports the most dire climate change predictions. Post anything that excuses the most violent behaviour provided that it is not instigated by Caucasians and post anything that gives away wealth from the most competently managed source that provides jobs for the majority.
This is dumb…post what you want
