This might seem random but Jesus loves you and times aren’t good and we need to rely on Jesus to guide us because we see corruption everywhere and so much sin and corruption everywhere. Relationship over religion. Jesus is a prayer away and just because you haven’t had an experience with Him doesn’t mean He’s not real :) .
Worth, first off, congratulations on all of your accomplishments! Reading your bio is very impressive. Thank you for taking the time to give back and showing us how to get our kids noticed for their athletic abilities. I have a son who is a freshmen, and he is very talented at the RB and DB positions. He also plays basketball. I’m excited to put this video to use, create a twitter account, and see where it goes. Thank you!
Respect bro, it's a grind! That 3 opportunities YOU created. Don't stop there. Focus on building relationships now. Anything else you need let me know.
This is the best video I've ever seen about recruiting, this was very helpful because I wan't to be a NCAA D1 basketball player, can't thank you enough🙏
Great advice. #4 is the hard one...can't DM a coach who isn't following. The other issue is it seems that alot of ST coaches use Kohls, Sailor, ... instead of doing their own homework. Attending a bunch of camps is financially out of reach for lots of families. So beyond social media, how does a kicker go about getting noticed on a budget? Thanks.
James Shepherd I agree, it can be difficult to get them to follow you back but if you’re following 1,000+ coaches then your odds of getting 40-100 following you back is pretty high. College coaches do LOOK at kohls/Sailer but will never offer a kid solely off ranking. At FBS level they wanna see the kid live. You can get recruited and seen with ZERO $$ spent. Create a video of you kicking once a week on a practice field and post it to your Twitter. Follow every coach in the world and spend 2-3 hours A DAY on messaging and doing research.
Just found this video. See its 3 years ago. Great info. Don't have time to scroll through all the comments & replies...sorry. my question...how do you feel about NCSA?
I enjoyed your video. My daughter is high soccer play I've been putting out videos and following colleges on Twitter I just can't get any follows back. She's a sophomore
Hey Worth. 30+ year ECU Pirate season ticket holder here! Enjoyed watching you play! My son has a unique situation where he started 1 varsity game as a freshman at QB before breaking a collarbone, started varsity as a sophomore, broke his collarbone again in the second game of his junior season. Any advice on how to tell this story and the adversity he has faced?
I got question that’s been in my head and I want to get it understood, how do you get more stars and do they really matter if you want to get recruited and how do you get stars because the way you explained in this vid was really good and I get it now but I still don’t know what stars really help you with I know if you have 5 your name is out there but I just want to know how they got their stars and what you need to do
Worth Gregory thank you cause some other people said that to basically get more or be higher in stars, to go to camps n perform the best to get ur name out there n keep showing vids of yourself at the camps
Hey worth Gregory could you make a video on what an email to a college coach should look like? For example where should I put x information? What information should I add? How can I convince a coach to offer me? I was thinking for that you could screen record your computer. Also how can I find football camps in my area? I really want to go to as much as I can to raise awareness as a rising freshman. Please help
Hello Mr. Gregory what year did you Graduate from ECU? That’s very interesting because we know a few Bigger-Zay-Hardy and a few more guys that were there as well just trying to see if you were there around that time.
Doudley Jaboin Find a field and video yourself every week. Try to put out 1 good video a week of you working out whether it’s in the weight room or on the field. Do a bunch of research on schools so that when the quarantine gets lifted you can hit the ground running.
Im a freshman going onto my sophomore and didn’t play my freshman season due to covid so can I still make the Twitter account with no film and put drills like the 40 and the 20 yard shuttle and position drills and do the same thing till I have film
No, unfortunately they do not. But it doesn't mean you can't make it. Gotta have good film and find a way to play ball in America, or American football in the caribbean.
Hey man, thanks for the tips, I'll start right away. One question, I'm from Italy, here we have 5 years of HS, what class should I put? The one I would have graduated from if I studied in the US or my real one? Thanks again
How and where to submit film to NFL teams? For example, if you no longer play college ball and are a free agent, where do you find info to send film to possibly get invite to Training Camps/Walk On Tryouts?
Great video. A lot of useful tips for twitter. One question I have particularly when it comes to posting film on twitter is quality. I’m a long snapper and really think I could have a chance as long as I keep working with it. I’m a freshman right now and I’ve started getting some clips to post but the quality is horrible and almost really hard to see the snaps. So how can I improve that and how much does that impact first impressions? Also I’m hopefully going to be attending Kohl’s special team camp in the near future is that a good idea? And for film how do they know to be looking at the snap? Because for someone just seeing the clips they may think there just clips of the punter / kicker? And not the long snap itself. I hope that makes sense and the questions are clear. Thank you again for the awesome video. Can’t wait to grind this out till the end.
If you're only a freshman, just focus on your form and videoing to improve that. Don't worry about recruiting or posting on twitter until after your freshman season or beginning of sophomore year. But when you do cut out everything and just have the snap. And yes the Kohls/Rubio camps will help but you're young. Having good academics and form should be your main focus.
Hey man really helpful video... but I'm from South Africa and I'm a Quarterback but I'm trying to get a d1 offer too we don't have football this side beside sending a lot of drills and gym workout what else could I do to gain coaches attention
Put out content consistently but to be honest, at the QB position you gotta find somewhere to play in games because that’s very important at the QB position
Could I start sending out more film as a senior to more schools? I want to get my name out there, especially because my school is not having fall sports right now and may not be able to this school year (hopefully spring ball). I’m also a snapper along with offense and defense, and was invited to Kohl’s Scholarship Camp and am ranked, but I’m not sure if it’s to late DM new schools as a senior or if I should wait to enroll and walk on. Like you said in the video, I’m just looking for an opportunity.
Wow didn't know u had a UA-cam channel.. really great advise I have a kid in highschool currently and trying all things to get him recruited .. #Go pirates
@@WorthGregory Hi Worth, good content thanks...Question, my son is being recruited by a few smaller D1 and D2 programs in which he has offers on hand at each but he has more offers on hand at the D3 level in which we've been posting all but does posting the D3 offers negatively affect the D1 coaches idea of his ability that are on the fence about him? Or should we at this point just post the number of offers unless it's the type of offer level he would like to be. Not taking anything at all away from D3 as I do know there are some really good athletes at those levels as well.
Worth I have a few questions for you if you don't mind 1. Do coaches prefer email or twitter for communication? 2. What's the pecking order in which you should reach out to coaches? Because you have head coach, offensive coordinator, position coach, grad assistant(off and def) and quality control. Because my thinking was let me message or email someone who may not get a lot of messages and can get the email to the right person even if they can't help. Who should you email 1st, 2nd and so on. 3. If I wanted to recommend someone to a coach what's the best way to do that? Beause If you dm a coach that doesn't follow you, it goes to message requests. I'll dm a coach but usually coaches don't have read receipts on or they just don't get messages so you have no clue if your messages are even being read.
Sorry I just saw this. 1. Its different for each coach some use Instagram. Some twitter some only email and one only phone. 2. What we did was contact all that applied to us. Position coach. Off/Deff coach and head coach. If you watch their twitter some coaches have assigned recruiters or recruiting areas. Think of it as just flood the zone. Contact everyone at every school you may be interested in. Don't limit yourself we visited schools in 5 states. 3. Don't recommend, have the player do it through their account. I did the research and found the contacts and he did all the communicating. Coaches are more likely to follow back or contact an athlete, it shows them the kid has initiative. Also when you have contact or visits post it and include coaches schools everyones twitter handles. A lot of schools do whats called shadow recruiting where they watch other schools social media and try to steal recruits.
Great advice....someone told us to tag coaches when he tweets. Do you know what that means or how to do it? I assume that is not direct messaging that you refer to.
That’s a whole different play, I’m not too huge on it because I think it can be annoying at some point. But that refers to just tagging the coaches “@“ on a tweet
@@WorthGregory Thanks for the advice. My son has worked on his profile and is starting to follow coaches....now we just have to get them to follow him. Any additional advice other than have him like some of their posts?
