We also were the first to appreciate and truly love the Jaguar XK-E. This aura flows over into motorcycles with the best candidate being the 1974-75 Moto Guzzi 850 El Dorado California Police Special being the ultimate in beauty and design.
I am a 1951 unrestored original and would love to have this fine specimen. It's only 40 miles from me, but light years away from my wallet. (sigh) I noticed it has an electric wiper motor. Weren't they supposed to be vacuum operated?

8:35 Can't rebuild a flathead head, there's no moving parts, love to see that receipt !
Meant to say the head was removed and a valve job was performed.
The 1953-1955 Studebakers were beautiful but about 40 years ahead of their time. I never liked that first post WWII generation design.
