We Rode The Disney Skyliner Gondolas & Toured A Disney Riviera Resort Room!

- In today's vlog we head to the Disney DVC preview center to take a look at the all new Disney Riviera Resort one bedroom deluxe room, we took a quick tour, there were other people in the room with us so I'm sorry this wasn't the most comprehensive room tour. Hopefully it was still helpful and gave you a better understanding of what the rooms will look like. We thought the look of the room was really nice and can't wait to see more of the resort when it opens later in the year. Then we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios for our first ever ride on the all new Disney Skyliner gondolas! Huge thank you to Jim and Nicole for inviting us to join them on their preview! We wanted to show you our full experience on each line of the Skyliner. We got off at each stop and showed you what each area of the Skyliner looked like, what the views were, etc. We really enjoyed our time on the Skyliner, the temperature inside wasn't too hot, there was a lot of air movement while it was in motion, we only stopped a couple of times, we loved the part that was over the water of Hourglass Lake and it was actually pretty relaxing and quick! I really appreciate Jenn being willing to try the gondolas, even though she doesn't like heights and was nervous about it. I feel the same way and feel like your willingness to show what it was like for someone that wasn't actually excited about it was very helpful for those of us who are nervous. I'm still not sure if I will end up on it or not, lol, but I'm a little more likely try it. Jenn did it so I feel like I can, too!
Well they just crashed last night. Look it up. It also left a ton of people stranded up in those hotboxes for over 2 hours. So... there's that if you're okay with it.
William White yeah it’s a big fat no for me right now. I can handle a short stop, I don’t really think it would be much different or worse than being stopped for a few minutes on one of the outside rides likes the Peoplemover or Jungle Cruise but being stuck for hours is terrifying. I would 1. be panicking and 2. definitely need to go to the bathroom. Not to mention I have two young kids to deal with who would also be panicking and would never last hours without food, water, and a bathroom. 😳
Becca Schlomann I hate airplanes, but have to live with them. I’ve tried to learn as much as possible about the physics, then I feel a little better... (I actually asked a physics prof I know to explain airplanes to me 😅) So one crash & disaster that they clearly learned from... To get around WDW faster I may have to live with this too. Went on a similar but much shorter ride at the Oakland Zoo in CA just a few days after they had a mini disaster their opening day. (Has a glass floor too if I remember correctly. Might be wrong there. But a few of us just gripped tight the whole time & did not look down.) We survived! Working out the kinks? Maybe don’t ride when these things first open... I know, it takes a lot of work to suspend the fear.

I just wanted to say thank you for all your UA-cam videos about your pregnancy! My wife and I have been watching daily! She is due in 2 weeks with our first born and it’s awesome to have someone else to relate to with what both you and Tim are experiencing!

Recently had a stay at Saratoga. I enjoyed it. I'm proud of you, Jenn, for riding the Skyliner. I'm not a fan of heights either. After the incident of people getting stuck I don't think I'm going to be riding the Skyliner.

It's so funny hearing you guys react to the skyliner. Jenn being scared, and it taking off really fast. It's funny to me because I'm from New England where we have Snow Skiing, and this skyliner basically looks like a enclosed High Speed Chairlift, which I'm super used to so to me it doesn't look scary at all lol but it's interesting hearing you native Floridians react to your first like..lift I guess haha

Yup Peja Stoyakavic you are right, you replied to 2 other comments, but negatively, telling people they are wrong and calling Americans Whiney Babies. Yes I will be a Whiney American baby when it is 98 degrees with 98 percent humidity in August dripping sweat in a gondola that has “temporarily” stopped and has no air flow. Maybe at that point I will be wishing my first world self was on a slower moving but Air Conditioned bus. You know the saying about how everyone has their own opinion. I’m sure nobody came here just to see what you think about their opinion. Looking forward to the gondolas but they are bound to have their downside as well.

As a local and a passholder. Took all routes on Skyliner yesterday. Loved it. I think it's a great addition to Disney. And quick transportation from Hollywood Studios to Epcot. The lines to get on the gondolas move quickly. Fast Access. And it looks so cool coming into Hollywood Studios. Tim and Jenn Rock. Congrats on the baby

It would be cool if the narrator's voice was from the character(s) on the exterior of the skyline car. For example if the exterior of the car has goofy on it the narrator's voice would be goofy. Just think that would be a nice touch.
What happens when it's Pluto on the cab? I don't think I'd understand all that barking.... and heaven forbid they do a star-wars themed cab and it's jar-jar!!! I think I might force open the doors and jump!!!!!!
You could comfortably live in that room! I've always wanted to spend a few straight months at WDW and I think I'd be very happy in the Riviera. 😛
I can't imagine how hot those cabins will be in the dead of summer on those 100 degree days.

I think as long as people know and bring cooling towels and water, they'll be fine. There is no air conditioning so the only air will be from wind. And yes, it will be hot Hayley Reed.

That looked like so much fun! I’m glad Jenn got comfortable with it after a couple times, I’d be nervous too!! My fear with it is that it’s gonna have a crazy long line because it reminds me of Peter pans flight it’s always moving but they have lines over an hour sometimes!

The wheel stays at the same speed. The gondolas are detachable so basically when they go to the station they go off the cable and drive tires take it around the curve of the station where you board. so the big wheel doesn’t need to slow down. At ski resorts they stop because people may have trouble getting off or getting on.

I absolutely cannot do ferris wheels either.
I went on one once because my boyfriend convinced me, I’m terrified of heights, few seconds after it moves I’m panicking, I’m screaming and crying, luckily my boyfriend helped me be ok but second time around I screamed and cried again, it’ll take a long time for me to not be scared of heights
That’s cool that Jen is afraid of heights but anyway is willing to ride the skyliner and have a good time !!!

I realize this was totally not the point of the video, but you made my childhood dreams come true in this vlog by showing THE BACK SIDE OF THE FRANCE PAVILION!!! Let me explain: my first trip to Disney World, I was 8, and fell in love with World Showcase. When we got to France I desperately wanted to go behind the buildings to see “the whole Eiffel Tower.” My dad asked a cast member and was informed that, no, the whole tower isn’t back there, just the top sticking out of the roof. Major Disappointment. Today, I finally got to see what it looks like. Thank You, Tim & Jenn!
Also, Skyliner looks awesome and I totally want to ride it next time I get down there.
My son and I faithfully watch each video you upload. He was working last night and it was sooooo hard to wait for him to watch this one! I have been anticipating your review of the gondolas ever since we heard about them. I must say, it was worth the wait! I only wish I could be there to ride them too. Lived in FL for 5 years and the only thing I miss about it is Disney. Thanks for reviving some very wonderful memories!!

My dad did the same thing to me (rocking the ferris wheel gondola)...he also told me all the ways our plane would crash my first time flying on a jet to Disney World. He didn’t stop until I was crying. But I’m glad you were able to enjoy it. We’ll be there in a week, can’t wait to try it.

COVID and UA-cam suggestions got me here today.. I definitely understand Jenn! I'm terrified of emptiness - so basically I don't mind heights when I'm on a plane or inside a building, but as soon as I'm on a balcony or walking on glass or hanging somewhere I am terrified!! Btw I'm a European subscriber (for about a year or two) and I love your videos, thank you so much for getting us through this pandemic!!
The Riviera room was incredible. I loved the murphy bed. It was so well disguised that I didn't realize it was there. Loved it. The Skyliner looks intimidating to me for sure but we intend on riding it in a few weeks when we are back. I am afraid of heights so a bit concerned about that for sure. Our upcoming trips were planned because of the Skyliner finally opening. We have all been looking forward to it. The guys can't wait. Thank you for sharing.

I was at disney when the gondola stopped. I was so glad that i wasn't riding it although they would have taken care of my whole trip and then some if i did got stuck.

omg! I can’t wait to go to Disney in february now! last April my family and I went to a tour of all the different style rooms. It was very beautiful and they provided us with food and everything. We are staying there in February for 3 days after our cruise. Can’t wait to see you guys staying there!

Cool! I’m afraid of heights too so I’m really iffy about riding it. I like air circulating so not sure I’d like no AC. When I was a kid, we took a trip to the Adirondack Mountains, and rode the ski lift. I was fine until we stopped, and my brother started rocking the car back and forth!
Ellen Bedford just do it! I’m not good with heights either, but it’s a good personal challenge, plus it’s at Disney World!!
The air definitely circulates a lot inside the cabins so there is always a breeze while they are moving.
