Scumbag Dad has the most honest and funniest videos. The critiques in his video do make sense, there are so many creators who want to pretend to give money to the homeless in video. Just to seem like a good person instead of being a good person.
so much great food for thought in this video wrt how content culture is shifting! didn't know that scumbag dad had this mission through his content - makes me respect his craft so much more. also loved the philosophical debates you both had!

This makes me feel a bit better about my closed off life. My ex fiancé went on the Whatever podcast and pretty much talk about our whole relationship and laughed about how she cheated on me and everything and tried to justify it. Only found out cause my friends, family, and her close friend as well all watched it and told me. The internet has gotten so fucked now. I’m glad I don’t do content or anything.
Just know it’s just just the men. I’m a woman and feel the same way about all of this lol. I’m just NOW worried about people like now becoming uncles because of this I guess?? But you need to have a conversation with her… that’s like. A deep fundamental issue
I think the reason a lot people enjoy SBD’s content is because he’s blatant about his satire. He doesn’t beat around the bush, from the very jump you know if it’s gonna be comedic or he’s taking it serious. As a fellow Iowan, Mr. Scumbagdad is one of our few treasures. I love his openness and straightforward way of giving us content. That’s why he’s so critical about fake content, because it’s not that hard to put some effort in and actually make a good video. 🤷🏽♂️
It's definitely hard to make good quality content. Don't even for a second assume he doesn't work his a*se off . But you are right with everything else 😊
These discussions about these influencers who are pandering to peoples emotions to make money/views instead of doing it genuinely.. I have a new found respect for scumbagdad and get what he is all about.
How were the North Koreans even contacted about the escape being filmed and how were the filmmakers contacted/informed about the whole breakaway and Datsuns such as where and when it was going to even happen?
The only kindness channel I like is JustKnate and he uses all the donations to make and buy things for the homeless community. He takes homeless people on big shopping sprees and actually shows the receipts and doesn’t lie or hide anything. He’s a leaven in his home town all the homeless love him and said he’s the only reason they’re all surviving. 1 man taking care of thousands of people. And not just buying them $1 cheeseburgers. He’s buying them shoes, clothes, tents, food, pet supplies, gas, grills,if they have a home he’ll pay their bills, he’s paid people court fees and lawyers and helps lots of people to get their kids back, he’s helped addicts get clean he’s taken them to rehab and picked them up it goes on. Helps the community More than any other person on tik tok or UA-cam.
a lot of things mentioned in this video resonate with me. I used to be an influencer manager and had a chance to be a part of behind the scenes. and my biggest takeaway is if someone can lie about small things in order to gain views, they will most definitely lie about something crucial if it gets them views. one more thing that bothers me about all these "kidness" tiktoks is that they aren't about kindness. these videos have a very weird message: "if you can't give a guy 2$ you aren't kind or good enough" which is fundamentaly wrong. on the other hand, I saw people saying shit like "well now I will always give people a dollar because what if one of them will turn out to be an Influencer and give me 500 instead?".
Good job bringing up the Italian husband (only follow one couple for their shorts). To be honest, I always felt uncomfortable for him but I tried to shake it off but each time it appears kind of abusive. I guess because I live in Europe and I know that in Italy the state of the economy there is really dire. On top of that, it affects people of all ages, a lot of people are basically hanging in there and would go along with their foreign spouse's internet shenanigans just to get by and they make peace with it. It reminds me of those couples who marry for Visa reasons, there is always a power imbalance whether it's the man or woman who is seeking the visa, they know that everything hinges on the success of the relationship. I think one of the most important things now with so much freedom and opportunity is morals and ethics.
I found your channel when you were in the very beginning and it was funny to see the satire become more and more obvious over time And I'm impressed with how well spoken you are I have thought for years that A.I is one of of biggest problems growing. I'm glad to hear you talk about it. It might be the birth of wide spread paranoia and death of media hating an emotional impact.. I'm extremely skeptical

I agree completely with the theft of peoples work. And the answer is so unclear . Because I write my own scripts I shoot my own videos I would never film anybody without their consent and I certainly would not use homeless people for advantage . But it is hard to regulate because I do love fair use in my video essays such as the one I made about Tony Hawk vs Taz Pappas I used many clips that I did not film I altered them and edited them and talked over them and mixed them with my own but I would've not been able to make the video without their clips . But there is a difference between what I and others do and what SSSniperWolf does and other streamers what they do really is theft. However I must say being small at this point I'd be happy if one of them watch my video because it could give me more exposure .
By the way I also build houses for my " real job". Among other things. Writing editing and trying to get my UA-cam videos to pop off.. my image.. I love it. And especially editing for other people's channels which I also love to do .. just as hard if not harder emotionally.

Why cancellations does not work? Most of the creators like Ssniperwolf have kids audience that are gullible And algorythm does not care if someone did something bad, so they will promote IT if the fans are out of touch
'Atleast he is doing something' Type of people are just unbearable. I talked to my friend about a UA-camr who stalks Elun Musk and he loves watching that guy and I said "well the guy is insane and his content is predatory". My friend replies "so what? why do we need to care what he does" like I just don't get that mindset when you watch an influencer who is clearly not good and just don't care.
In all honesty I was in the military and most people wouldn't given the option to commit a war crime or to say no I found most of them will commit the war crime because it's actually really easy to commit a war crime it's actually extremely difficult for a person in a group to refuse to commit the War crime it's very difficult to be the one who also says this needs to stop or to try to stop it because if you do they will come after you. I wasn't for deployed but I was targeted and harassed and abused to point where now I have PTSD and I also refused to fall in line and be what they wanted me to be
I love the Korean dad that loves his food and shows appreciation for it, the whole family seems genuine and awesome, just eating foods from different cultures and shoeing appreciation for the food. He's lovely. Not sure it's the same Korean dad you are talking about though.
'Scumbag Dad' mentions how the way the video with the kid with cancer was set up, that it felt predatory. I thought of another one that sounds even worse. I was unsubscribing to a lot of youtube channels yesterday. I came across a biker I'd watch before.(I forget his name) The guy had multiple videos where he'd "find" a missing kid or missing girl. I didn't watch the videos, but having multiple situations where that happens? That seems very unlikely and just weird. If these people were actually missing, and he just happens to find them. What are the chances that he is the one who kidnapped them in the first place?
we’re in a new world now with new situations, so there need to be new laws protecting citizens from being filmed without consent. current laws are outdated and refer to paparazzi and phone recordings, they don’t take in regard the influencers shoving cameras in peoples face to exploit them for content
Oh my God I can't get over the italian husband thing. It's literally gives me the same feeling as that video of adult babies who wear diapers and shit.
Fantastic two interviews with scumbag dad. I don't really care about your company I'm only here because I thought there was more to this man. But I'll try a few more of your interviews I hope you bring on more people who can paint a picture of parts of society so that we can all see life in a more genuine manner.
I'm glad I've discovered Scumbag Dad to articulate for me why this has always made me feel uncomfortable. This brings the scripture to mind. It's stuck with me anytime I feel like doing something nice for someone. Matthew 6:1-3 1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
I think the bigger cultural problem here is that we don't have a cohesive moral standard anymore. There needs to be a baseline at which the vast majority of society agrees that once you go beyond that line, you're objectively wrong. That line keeps getting pushed further back in the name of moral relativity.
When you guys were talking movies vs UA-cam or TikTok, it made me think of shows like Steve Wilko or judge Judy, those shows seemed mostly scripted yet they were purposed as being “real” just a thought would love to know what you think
The big difference for me is the informality and intimacy about social media, these programmes lacked this, also like wrestling we all know that it is more or less fake or at least contrived, they were aimed at adults, and lastly they weren't a 24/7 feed of goop. I'm not defending realty TV btw as it's own can of worms but at least they have checks and balances. Genuinely compelling media should be the norm and the want.
About half way through this, been following scumbagdad for a while. It’s wild where things have gotten with influencing - it’s all basically for self promotion. Appreciate SBD for calling it out. World would be better with people disclosing the dollars involved in what they’re doing and ending exploitation of folks who wouldn’t want to be involved.
One thing i thougt about during the kid with cancer sagment is that if u can ask somebody if they would've found out that make a wish just does what it does for profit what would they feel they might answer differently than if u just asked if the ifluencer is a moral person while its basically the same thing
Well if this is about Ssniperwolf and little Kiara, Lia (Diaperwolf) literally lied to a kid about her age to get pictures of their body for "content and lols", her words not mine She had to censor it, still posted it, asked about their workplace, and now the website is down because of adults being predatory towards children
The point about Hollywood is very simple. Everyone knows Hollywood films aren't real, and studios don't pretend they are. "Kindness" creators pretend it's real. That's it, I don't see how anyone could actually question Scumbag about this, it's so stupid and obvious.
I always love seeing how genuine scumbagdad is it's a great change of pace seeing someone call out the bullshit we may or may not be aware of within the creator communities

We now live in a world where you rent out an airplane cabin on an airstrip to film fake content
I wasn't for deployed but I was targeted and harassed and abused to point where now I have PTSD and I also refused to fall in line and be what they wanted me to be
i liked scumbagdad before for his content but this increased my respect for his mission on a new level
Scumbagdad, always the based chad that he is. One of the few people that deserves a following.
For a second I was like “WAIT WHOS KOREAN DAD” 😂😂 Was just listening lol
Mental acrobatics.. Nice phrase!
Scumbag dad is very well spoken, I love you dad.
He's definitely very intelligent, well read, talented and educated.
we’re in a new world now with new situations, so there need to be new laws protecting citizens from being filmed without consent. current laws are outdated and refer to paparazzi and phone recordings, they don’t take in regard the influencers shoving cameras in peoples face to exploit them for content
Me looking for hate comments to clown on
Oh my God I can't get over the italian husband thing. It's literally gives me the same feeling as that video of adult babies who wear diapers and shit.
How i like to just listen to him. He's very intelligent person!
Fantastic two interviews with scumbag dad. I don't really care about your company I'm only here because I thought there was more to this man. But I'll try a few more of your interviews I hope you bring on more people who can paint a picture of parts of society so that we can all see life in a more genuine manner.
Thanks! I’d recommend the Allen Pan one if you liked Scumbag Dad
Why are you being rude though?
I'm glad I've discovered Scumbag Dad to articulate for me why this has always made me feel uncomfortable.
This brings the scripture to mind. It's stuck with me anytime I feel like doing something nice for someone.
Matthew 6:1-3
1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them.
“Like he’s on his last legs”
why does this only have 2000 views?
Thanks for watching early 🙏 hoping more see it soon!
Such a great convo!
He gained my respect with this interview BIG TIME!
Great interview
The lawn guys and kart narc also dont monetize those videos. They just use it for views/advertising
i like his videos man i remeber when i first saw him a couple years ago and im still watching him
I hope what he’s pitching at 44 min isn’t dystopian but I know it is lol
About half way through this, been following scumbagdad for a while. It’s wild where things have gotten with influencing - it’s all basically for self promotion. Appreciate SBD for calling it out. World would be better with people disclosing the dollars involved in what they’re doing and ending exploitation of folks who wouldn’t want to be involved.
One thing i thougt about during the kid with cancer sagment is that if u can ask somebody if they would've found out that make a wish just does what it does for profit what would they feel they might answer differently than if u just asked if the ifluencer is a moral person while its basically the same thing
My issue is the deception. The influencer needs the family to participate in his script, which is portrayed as “real”
@@scumbagdadofficial which makes it even worst and the absurdity of people saying it is kind even more rediculous
@@shml5093it has elements of kindness but certainly the deception taints the experience.
Well if this is about Ssniperwolf and little Kiara, Lia (Diaperwolf) literally lied to a kid about her age to get pictures of their body for "content and lols", her words not mine
She had to censor it, still posted it, asked about their workplace, and now the website is down because of adults being predatory towards children
"You will move faster if you are exploit homeless people and service workers."
Perfect definition of capitalism.
This deserves a hundred billion views. I appreciate that other people don't just watch these bait videos on YT shorts, Reels, and Tiktok. It gets old.
omg i had no idea he was based off of the korean dad 😭thats just even funnier
Mad insightful episode. Happy new year
The point about Hollywood is very simple. Everyone knows Hollywood films aren't real, and studios don't pretend they are. "Kindness" creators pretend it's real. That's it, I don't see how anyone could actually question Scumbag about this, it's so stupid and obvious.
