    Bruh... I'm currently making a proposal for my graduation thesis college next year, and I'm choose a movie as a Material Object...unlike novel, a movie as Material Object needs to put cinematography technique in the thesis and this, yours, your video, it is really Helpful,...
    Thank you Bruh...

    I wish more people did these scenes. They can be so good when they work, but at the same time so bad when they don’t.

    Dang wasn't expecting something that hits with heavy mental health content. It might be beneficial to pin a warning for watchers with eating disorders/those who know people with one.
    As innocuous as it might seem for most folks, it can be a rough short tp come across for those who know someone with eating disorders.
    For those who don't know he's describing a scene of someone with a binge eating disorder which often stems from some complex childhood developmental trauma (like growing up with neglect or emtional/verbal abuse from an alcoholic parent).
    In the chance someone's looking for support: there are eating disorder/food addict support groups out there like 12 Step programs and Dharmic Recovery, which are usually free and can be a way to create a support network with others working towards healthier recovery, and some groups even have meetings just for supporting the partners in the process.

  • @tubsy.
    @tubsy. 8 місяців тому +26

    No, I refuse to watch a 10 minute scene of a character eating. No matter how artistic or whatever the bloody hell it is. It's preposterous.

    • @abhishekjha8405
      @abhishekjha8405 7 місяців тому +12

      If you had watched the whole movie.. you wouldn't have termed the scene as preposterous.. her husband just died earlier and she is trying her best to move on with her life..to be 'fulfilled' with something... Hence eating the whole pie... But maybe it's too soon for her to move on... So in the next scene she throws up... So I think it's beautiful scene

      (tw: ed mention)
      without watching the movie, im inferring bulimia, a very heavy mental illness to bear. i think this is a really clear representation of that. we spend so long on the food because that’s the focus of your life in the illness, all erased in minutes with purging. it’s godawful and gruelling, which feels like the purpose of this scene. no one wants to watch someone eat for that long (unless you enjoy mukbangs) but it’s not meant to be enjoyable. you feel how gruelling it is with her.

    Even in this short that shot seemed boring and stupid lol. But good concept. I like this for action scenes. Shoot wider and let it play out if you got good players

    The fact that some people complained about the scene being boring and hard to watch is a proof that the concept works. The scene is supposed to be uncomfortable and the audience is supposed to share the suffering of the character. It's as if the scene is not trying to tell a story, but to force the audience into living the moment with the character.
