Alot of other pitchers walk for tactical reasons, this was an admittance of lacking. Though I don’t think it’s a bad decision. If as a pitcher you have that much dread, better to just walk and hope for a good double play or a better matchup.
@@CompWin7Helper I’m assuming you are talking about judge’s grand slam the other day, I don’t know the context but if the runners were at 2nd and 3rd they loaded up the bases so they could get a force out at any plate, making it easier to turn 2, also perhaps it was a matchup situation leftypitchers do better against right handed batters and right handed pitchers are better against lefty batters.

They then go thr next guy out and won an important game. Just cause it was used poorly once doesn’t mean it’s completely useless
