I remember the first time I had sleep paralysis. I saw a similar shadow figure to the one in the story, but instead of thinking I was going to get hurt or killed, I instead pretended that he was guarding me from potential predators that probably exist in sleep paralysis. It actually helps calm you down so you can enter a lucid dream easier
Bro. That. Is. Not. Sleep. Paralysis. It's just that you are paralyzed, body is asleep but mind is awake. It just feels like you're falling in an abyss. That's what makes it frightening. But I've had them since my childhood and for a while, I pretend to know that it's nothing. So yea, I'm a little scared, but alright.
I just had a lucid dream inside a dream and when i woke up from the lucid dream i woke up in a dream and i dindn’t know i was dreaming. Is that even possible?
Usually I have dreams like: "Oh right, I should do a reality check! *Summons phone* Time is 5:61 Seems pretty real, *Shrek flies inside my apartment on a flying donkey* Shrek: Nice 892 Floor apartment! *The building collapses* Me falling down: oh no.."
I personally don’t experience sleep paralysis with a scary monster, but instead I fall into a loop of almost falling asleep, then waking up unable to move. Here’s a tip I’ve never seen before but works for me 100% of the time: if paralysed, exhale as much as you can, then quickly breathe in as much as you can. I don’t know why this works, maybe it jolts my muscles awake or something, but it always works if I’m just laying there in the middle of the night unable to move. If you too sometimes fall into loop of continuously falling asleep, waking, paralysed, then falling back asleep, I’d recommend to after being able to move again to not go straight back to sleep. Instead to awake for a couple minutes, perhaps go to the toilet, then return to bed.
Thanks for sharing that tip, I’m sure it’ll help me. Last night I had a dream that I was in sleep paralysis. (I’m like 99% sure it was a dream) and it was pretty scary.
Idk if it was a dream, or a real sleep paralysis, but I couldn't move my leg, didn't noticed the rest of the body, fell choke, and a shadow appeared. I stayed calm, thought about a style werewolf with a mustache, but wake up. *TIP* I've heard that if you hold your breath, your body will colapse, think you're in real danger, and wake up, but honestly, don't do it, it's a missed opportunity. Try to stay calm, and imagine a lucid dream scenario, and forget about your body. If you fall into a nightmare, do the same as before, and you can also create a safe space, in both sp or nightmare, where nothing can hurt you. If you start panic at sp, hold your breath.
I have always fought sleep paralysis I start with lifting my arms up then my chest off my bed it’s tough asf don’t get me wrong but if you fight it you can break free and move
One of the scariest dreams I've ever had was being stuck in a loop. I don't know if I could call it a "sleep paralysis", but it really was terrifying. That night I had gone to sleep around midnight. Before falling asleep, I had watched a few videos about lucid dreaming, put my phone on the bedside table and then went to sleep. I woke up (I don't know after how long, because I never actually woke up) and my phone was next to me. I still was in my bedroom, everything was normal, except the fact my phone was next to me. I stayed there, laying on my bed, for a bit. I had a strange feeling, so I decided to go into my parents' room. There's an hallway separating our rooms; when I was about to open my room's bedroom, I found myself in my bed. I tried a few more times, but each time, as I was opening the door, I would wake up in my bed. After a while, I managed to run to my parents room, but when I got there the lights turned up behind me and I woke up in my bed. I started to panick and then I don't really remember what happened. There are Christmas lights hanging over my bed, and at a certain point I felt like they were wrapped around me, almost choking me. I eventually fell asleep after closing my eyes and trying to pretend nothing was real. This was a few months ago. I would like to trying lucid dreaming, but I'm too afraid of being stuck in a nightmare like this again.
That’s called a false awakening It’s nothing to worry about All you have to do is remain calm and do a reality check and realize that you’re dreaming - it then turns into a lucid dream
Lol i haven't had a nightmare like that before but BECAUSE of sleep paralysis, false awakenings, etc, I don't want to try, I feel like I will forget all about it. I know I just had a Lucid Dream and I didn't know what it was until I woke up. I was honestly very sad because I did something that's possible to NEVER happen IRL. It had something to do with love and then as soon as I woke up, I knew it was a dream.
Is it considered a lucid dream if I realised I was in the dream and said nah I don’t want to be here and then woke up? Actually my dream was that I was sitting unprepared giving my social studies exam so I was like I don’t want to feel this pain😂😂😂
@@michaelcassidy3515 That would be hilarious or even better you say screw this and an attractive person walks in the room, that you conjured, and response is later as you leave with them.
Hey demon, are you making a living wage? .... That’s unacceptable! You guys HAVE to unionize. And demand chairs. Why do you always have to stand or sit on my chest, I know it’s not comfortable. Where is Panotma? He got fired? This is a two demon job, you know this!
Once I had sleep paralysis. I think I was in a lucid dream, so I did a reality check, my fingers started to multiply, then I woke up in my bed at around 7:00am. I could hear my mom making breakfast. It started to switch from day to night. I felt intense vibration from my bed. At that time, I didn’t know that sleep paralysis was real. I thought it was just a nightmare, until I realised I couldn’t move. I tried to call out for help but I couldn’t move my mouth. My mom was only in the kitchen and I couldn’t talk to her. A dark figure walked into my room then it dissolved into the ground. I could barely move. I managed to get out of my bed and rushed to the kitchen. My moms face was covered in blood. Then I finally became conscious in my bed. I had had sleep paralysis and a nightmare combined.
I actually managed once to force escape a sleep paralysis by kinda "spamming" moving my arms, legs etc. When i was fully awake, i was totally tired and sweaty tho.
I woke up in the middle of the night around 3 AM and then I felt like I was about to fall asleep and then got a burst of consciousness, then I fell asleep and realized my body could not move, I had the same ringing in your ears noise as you did, I also felt pressure on my chest, this was my 2nd time having sleep paralysis and both times I knew to never open my eyes which I am very lucky to know.
The scary part is, if you ever see anything scary like a demon or something in a sleep paralysis, you can shut your eyes and pretend its not there, but its hard to ignore that fact when you start to hear noises and apparently hear whatever it is running to you
The best part is when you're in sleep paralysis while upside down so you can't see anything anyways, despite the insanely loud beeping and buzzing sounds that keep blaring from whatever it is you can't see
Moments when you know you're screwed: When your parents call you by your full name When a staff member tells you to bring your stuff with you at school When you have a dream but you cant move
I have sleep paralysis quite often, I close my eyes because I always knew about these "so-called hallucinations". If you close your eyes, you can feel their presence but can't actually see them, wich could calm you down a bit. My advice to you when your having sleep paralysis is just close your eyes, try not to panic and go back to sleep

I had one where I was facing my pillow but because I couldn’t move it was harder to breathe. (I could still breathe tho). I started to panic which made my body warm up a lot. I had sleep paralysis but because I was warned of it by my mum and heard a ton other horror stories about it, and ALSO had the habit of facing a wall when I sleep (which caused for crazy dreams in the past when i was a child), I only felt pressure and like I could see everything but couldn’t move but other than that I jus chilled, very glad I face walls when I sleep.

Every time i watch a sleep paralysis Video i start to feel rage, i had a dream 6 years ago (or maybe more if your reading this years later) i remember being at a building of some sort and then i see my dads car driving off, away from me, then the sky just turns dark and then i see this monster, it charges up to me, i feel rage so i tackled it and started brutally punching its face non stop it did not die and did not stop shouting i felt fear but alot of rage, then i snap back to reality (this dream gave me anger issues that i still have today bru.)
Had the exact same thing happen to me: Paralyzed on my back and at the edge of my bed there was a dark figure watching me, build of a tall man, I felt vile evil in it and tried to scream, but could not open my mouth. I screamed in my mind and fought to regain control over body. Very scary experience. Second experience: Laying bed, wake up paralyzed again but sleeping on my stomach. I start feeling subtle movement inside my mattress, then it gets more intense like many hands pushing up all around my body and then I feel the bed starting to levitate, scary as hell!!!!
I had my first lucid dream this morning!! it was my first time doing MILD after a month of trying FILD and having no success. it only lasted around 20 seconds until I accidentally closed my eyes. My only experience of sleep paralysis wasn't really scary. I remember waking up from a nightmare and not being able to move, I knew that I was awake but still couldn't move. At the time, I was really young and my mom was sleeping next to me, so I remembered me thinking that my mom would push me so I could come back to normal. In the end, I was spooked out but nothing out of the ordinary happened, I just lay there waiting for myself to get up.
I watch videos on lucid dreams I dream but Lucid dreams look like they have stowed themselves from me. I have known about lucid dreams from like 3 years now.
To those who don't know what sleep paralysis is like, its the feeling you get when youre trying to sing to someone, and are too nervous, and you feel the pressure and choking sensation, but fully permanent with no escape. It’s a terrifying experience. In my paralysis i cant feel anything but migraine-like pressure which lead to longer paralysis.
Your body is shutting down and so your brain stops caring about your physical comfort and stops wasting essential resources. usually if you have trouble falling asleep its because of past traumas and stuff like that your brain is overthinking and you are terrified of being alone with your own thoughts. It's my opinion the sleepy demon is just your brain telling you that your being watched, but the whole time your actually the one watching yourself.
A real sleep sleep paralysis experience is waaay more terrifying then that. Your description doesn’t even capture .001% of the terror. My sleep paralysis experience, which strangely matches others I’ve talked about this with, is the sight of a demon figure glaring at you with a low growl as it’s horrifying figure paces back and forth at the foot of your bed sending you telepathic thoughts of how badly it is wants to rip you apart while you lay frozen with no defense.
I had a time where I was truly stuck in sleep paralysis. In the beginning, I could not open my eyes, it felt like I was laying on my side on a couch at my home, but I could hear creepy demonic sounding voices talking about doing something horrible to me, so I tried my hardest to open my eyes but was unsuccessful. I realized something was off because I should not be at home, I was living in a dorm at the time which did not have that couch so this must be a dream. Realizing it was a dream relieved me a bit, but I was still stuck in place unable to open my eyes, not even able to force myself awake. All of a sudden, I was in a swing, swinging back and forth still unable to move but my eyes were open now and the scenery was an eerie hell-like landscape and something was approaching me in my peripheral vision, over the next several minutes I switch to several different scenes like this. Then I "woke up" but I was still paralyzed laying in bed in my dorm room looking up at the ceiling. Then I remembered that I was actually at home because it was the holidays and suddenly I woke up in my bed at home startled at what just happened. The following night I was physically unable to fall asleep literally laying in bed for 8 hours even when trying several of the sleep techniques that I use when all else fails without effect. TLDR: I had a nightmare of being truly stuck in sleep paralysis, and I couldn't sleep the following night.
The time I had sleep paralysis was weird, I was playing a game with my friend to begin with, in total control and then I realized in the dream that the voice wasn’t my friend, and I went to bed. Next thing you know there is a giant floating eyeball that looks demonic as hell, with a tube sucking the air out of my body, and there it is. The high pitched ringing in my ears, however I was able to turn my head, and look away from the demon. I was able to wake myself up but when I did I had an odd feeling of panic, and I couldn’t fall back asleep for hours
Same thing happened to me, I was In a nightmare In a hospital , and then I transformed in my bed In my room, there was loud ringing, sweating, and my eyes where shaking like a earthquake, and I somehow woke up, when I woke up I was scared shitless
I went into sleep paralysis before to about twice and I open my eyes the first time I was derived that their was someone in my room. I can relate to your story.
This had happened to me before but i was in consciousness and i have a ghost in my house that has a doll which ive tryed to force my parents ro get rid of it, but anyways i cant move and big pitch black people watching me and i stand in the hallway but then the doll comes out and hits me in the head. In the morning i woke up and i had woken up in the hallway with a bruise on my forehead..😖
new objetive: summon this shadow guy in my dreams, it just wanted to be with someone without being ignored, he is probably just a guardian that protects you from a random dude stealing your house while you are in sleep paralysis
I once was sleep paralyzed. My story is that I was at my grandmas house, and I was 6. I remember I looked over to my left to see it, not opening the door, nor standing by it, but as if someone took a picture of it and tapped it to the door. It suddenly got intense. It wasn’t exactly coming near me, just staying in its spot. All the attention in the room was on it. Not single thing mattered other then it at the door. It’s as if someone was shining a spot light on it, yet it was still dark. In a panic, I close my eyes as tightly as possible, then cover them with hands. Then, shiz gets weird. My vision goes to a 3rd person view where I can see myself in bed. Then I see a vision of the thing, the picture, but right on my eyes. It haunted me even with my eyes closed and I saw myself screaming in my 3rd person view. Everything was blurry. I felt dizzy. I felt this intensity that I never felt before. Then, it all disappears. The intensity dies down. And I was in my bed, shaking, with goosebumps from head to toe.
I had Sleep paralysis about 5 times. I could still feel everything. Only shadows. There was never any ringing sounds. Sleep paralysis happens when the body doesn't believe you're awake so it shuts down the body. Yes you could hallucinate too. I don't think you could hear sounds tho.
Some people got high pitch noise even i was one of them it was like keeping hear at the side of motorbike engine(or)placing our hear behind the engine of a motor boat
That’s what happens when your in sleep paralysis. To know if your in that state you should always check your phone, the back of a cereal box anything with words because if it is in English and you can read it then your not in sleep paralysis but if it comes out as some weird random numbers/letters then your in sleep paralysis
I remember a few times where I was in a dream, but I couldn't move. I had a feeling I was going to die and shouting for help to the people not far away, but my mouth and throat mere stuck - I couldn't move them or speak. I woke up after a few moments. Not like I want it to, but does that count as sleep paralysis?
I never managed to do the easiest one you do. I repeat to myself: I will lucid dream And wake up at like 4 am. But nope. Sadly all I can do is dream. Dream normally.
im like you but if your an introvert you have a big atvantige every time your out of your house do a realty check and i find dream sighns so importint. btw i had 4 lucide dreams i treyd 4 and half years, and the first 4years was nothing, in the last 5 month i had 4 lucide dreams
Ooh... I remember having sleep paralysis once before. It was my first (and so far only) time dealing with it, but the experience still freaks me out to this day. 🥶😖
I was able to lucid dream about half a year ago but somehow i’m not really able to do it anymore i figured it out on my own my technique was to lay still but visualise my arm moving doing that until i fell asleep. I always had difficulties flying i could spawn in supercars and stuf. I once tried to taste it and it was super realistic i could really taste the iron of the car.
The loud ringing is normal, you’ll get it when it’s quiet. Your brain trys to not make you go insane. I get this but not paralysed. If it’s loud, I think of a low pitch noise. I’ve only got Sleep Paralysis once. I was stuck for 3 hours, my bro came in to wake me up and he said I was fine. But I seemed somewhat dead. I was speaking in the paralysis and my brother said they came out very forgein, he said I spoke like Russian. Weird.
@Cookie Cat there are types of demons and they know the language of the place they grow in , so.. yeah hes demon was talking or if it wasnt demon its someone from the world of demons
One time, I was running away from something, I don't know what, but I was running away from some sort of danger. I was running when all of a sudden, I couldn't run. I woke up after the danger caught up to me, but it was horrifying.
I got stuck too it was actually terrifying At first i was lying in my bed at some point i was aware of my surroundings (sleeping state) Then a few seconds passed by i heard some noise and it was loud at that point i started to panic Then i felt pressure building up in my forehead it was like a person pointing your forehead(pointing/touch) The pressure started to get intense i somehow imagined that a shadow man touching my forehead At this state i was really panicking but i somehow remembered my teacher told me to staycalm when things get's Worse at that time i followed my memories i still felt the pressure intense but i just keep saying(in my mind)that just breath calm down i just focused on keeping calm that it removed the pressure in my forehead but the pressure still builds up but it was enough for me to wake up(irl)and i just realised that i some how woke my self up and at that time it was 4:00AM
I used to have sleep paralysis all the time. God, it terrified me every time. Apparently, the way it works is your body is asleep but your mind is awake, so that’s why you know your awake, you can hear and think etc but you can’t move. Though, I wouldn’t see a shadow figure, or get vibrations or anything. I would only not be able to move. Still terrified me, I’d spend like. 5-10 minutes trying desperately to move but being unable. This happened constantly for years, starting probably when I was around 5.
I know How It feels sometimes, i got Half sleep paralysis, i could move my arms but not the mouth I Felt intense pressure over all my body and also the feeling of something is gonna happen.

Also when I get sleep paralysis (I have twice) I usually fall into a dream after a bit (often a nightmare)

I’m scared to lucid dream because of sleep paralysis
@@SeedlessBurgerzz Best thing about it is that you can summon shrek
@@SeedlessBurgerzz i dont even lucid dream but i got sleep paralysis 3 TIMES
Thanks, now i won't try either. Nice, more fuel for nightmares 😨😰
That’s called a false awakening
It’s nothing to worry about
All you have to do is remain calm and do a reality check and realize that you’re dreaming - it then turns into a lucid dream
Bro met giorno
Just a false awakening, everytime u wake up do a reality check and that could never happen to you again if you actually do reality checks like I said
Lol i haven't had a nightmare like that before but BECAUSE of sleep paralysis, false awakenings, etc, I don't want to try, I feel like I will forget all about it. I know I just had a Lucid Dream and I didn't know what it was until I woke up. I was honestly very sad because I did something that's possible to NEVER happen IRL. It had something to do with love and then as soon as I woke up, I knew it was a dream.

Weird.
eh i really know whats up but i fear to tell you the news...

One time, I was running away from something, I don't know what, but I was running away from some sort of danger. I was running when all of a sudden, I couldn't run. I woke up after the danger caught up to me, but it was horrifying.
*wakes up from lucid nightmare*
I'm so glad that it's over! Wait... why can't I move?

3:12 I DONT WANNA SLEEP
I got stuck too it was actually terrifying
At first i was lying in my bed at some point i was aware of my surroundings (sleeping state)
Then a few seconds passed by i heard some noise and it was loud at that point i started to panic
Then i felt pressure building up in my forehead it was like a person pointing your forehead(pointing/touch)
The pressure started to get intense i somehow imagined that a shadow man touching my forehead
At this state i was really panicking but i somehow remembered my teacher told me to staycalm when things get's
Worse at that time i followed my memories i still felt the pressure intense but i just keep saying(in my mind)that just breath calm down i just focused on keeping calm that it removed the pressure in my forehead but the pressure still builds up but it was enough for me to wake up(irl)and i just realised that i some how woke my self up and at that time it was 4:00AM
how long
is it
@@charliecarman1960 hmm i think 5 hours
1:20 i used to hear this everywhere when the entire place is very quiet
