Garbage Retrospective To The Assassin's Creed Series
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 лис 2018
- The Assassin's creed franchise is a series I like. But the story is confusing. But I am going to make it more confusing. I like the story and the stealth game play but it needs more sneaking boats. Boat sneaking should be the focus right now.

What a perfect way to describe Black Flag
Turning on cheats so you can have epic battles in thunderstorms with massive waves was pretty fun yes
@@wellshit9489 I remember when I was playing Black Flag I was taking over a fort (as you do) but the entire time a massive storm with huge waves was there. It was cool as fuck and fun as fuck just bombarding a fort while trying not to die to the storm.
Another time I had just attempted to fight one of the legendary ships (I think it was the one on the bottom right, the HMS Prince or something), but being a Ubisoft game the game bugged and the music and weather kept playing even though I had lost the battle. After that I swiftly went to the nearest Man O' Wars and started a fight between like 4 of them at once. Again, fun as fuck to board a Man O' War with that music playing while like 3 others are also hull to hull.
I still haven't beaten the fast legendary ship in the top left though, that shit is difficult af.
Other non-ship things were cool too (even though the ships stole the show); I actually kinda liked the jungle bits - it felt cool to just run around in a dense jungle doing shit. And the bit at the West coast of Africa was pretty neat too.
Overall, Black Flag is a thoroughly fun game (even if the missions are quite repetitive and tedious) that definitely deserves a remake.
I spent so many hours listening to them sing , exploring new islands and more. It truly was the first strand type game

Mots accurate description of Rogue I've ever heard
Ironically the only assassin's creed game I have ever played
As someone who was an Assassins' Creed fanatic between II through IV, it now seems like the the biggest flaw the series has is the concept. Take away the interesting characters (i.e. Ezio and Edward) and what's left is a story about a group of anarchist psychos who think they can make the world a better place by murdering people, who only look good in comparison by making the other side a bunch of Saturday Morning Cartoon Villains.
Agreed, IMHO scenes where MC's like Altair and Bayek gloat over the targets they've killed are a little sickening, even after Altair learns his lesson it's difficult to like him as a character after that.
As a lover of history their twisting of events to make particular factions and people out to be the villains whilst claiming to be "Historically accurate" is also extremely annoying, AC3's Charles Lee being the worst offender so far.
Biggest flaw of Ass Creed is that it became a heartless money grab by Ubisoft which became a short of evil corporation themself
The templars in Assassin's Creed 3 were the best, they did know what they wanted. Also, Ezio explained what the assassins really are very well.
I loved bayek as a character though

hahaha that's so typical of them thinking they're the center of the world, yeah you really don't take their words at face value.
The Revolutionary War was actually pretty civilized by the standards of that time. The British never shied away from atrocities, but this time they fought people of whom they thought of as brethren. So it's not even the most gruesome war fought on US soil, that would be the Civil War (on a World stage it's clearly WW2).
Whoever wrote that, was either an idiot or tried to appeal to the vain nationalism of uneducated Americans.

AC "Syndicate" was pretty great and I think "Unity" is to blame for not being so popular. Since it was hated amongst fans, people lost trust in Ubisoft and skipped it.
Also the funny thing about "Rogue" is that it was not the main AC of that year and it was more loved than "Unity". People didn't expect much from it and you can say it was an AC4 rip-off gameplay wise, but it had a great story.
"Unity" pissed me off for not putting much attention to Napoleon Bonaparte a.k.a the greatest war tactician of all time.
Ndriqim Halili no syndicate is to blame for it not being so popular, it was a terrible game
@@TheB0sss Playing it right now, it's alright, not quite flawless, but good enough. The atmosphere is awesome, shit, there is a bunch of people near Big Ben singing "Rule Britannia". Combat is meh, love stealth part tho, feels realistic, until you get an upgrade that makes you invisible literally. Story is okay, characters are generic, but developed enough to me to not abandon the game (as I did with Far Cry 5, it was just boring). Gang mechanics are alright, the side missions aka the district missions are fun. Overall, I'd recommend it to someone who likes this British atmosphere as I do. No lie, I unironically adore Syndicate. One of the most interesting and fun games in the series imo. Granted, I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes ALL of the AC games (yes, even Revelations and Unity)
@Rob Bob For having an opinion on video games...?
Louay Attia no, for liking objectively bad games, that's called fanboyism
@@TheB0sss 'Objectively bad games'. Alright, I'll bite. I found games like Unity and Syndicate really enjoyable because they changed up the Assassin's Creed formula and made it more in-depth. The graphics were beautiful, the combat was more intuitive, the stealth mechanics were tweaked to be more immersive, the parkour was vastly improved, and the stories (especially in the case of Syndicate) were fun adventures that introduced us to some really fun and lovable characters. Of course I understand that these games have flaws, so before you bring up the infamous glitches that plagued Unity upon launch, I'm well aware. These glitches were not an issue for ME however, since I played Unity months after launch after it had been patched. I recognize that the glitches were an issue that certainly don't shine Ubisoft in the best light as a game company, but I'm not going to use them to judge the game in its current state. Because that would be stupid.
All in all, those are the reasons I found Syndicate and Unity to be excellent entries in the Assassin's Creed series. Of course, this is all MY opinion, and you don't have to agree with any of it, but saying that they're 'objectively bad games' and calling me a 'fanboy' simply for liking something that you and some other segments of the fanbase didn't, is a bit narrow-minded, and certainly a dick move. But anyways, I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to explain why I enjoy these games; I always love a good discussion.
Good day to you, sir.
Louay Attia I was indeed specifically talking about unity, I have no strong opinions on syndicate since unity ruined the series for me.
