every flag was placed so the flag left the staff at the exact same place. All three flags were exactly the same as they lay. You could put a full glass of water on their shoulders and they wouldn't spill a drop. Watch the shoulders when they walk, no motion, only forward.
How many of you who criticize noticed the respect given in front of each tomb during the placing of flags? No loud clicking of heels or at the coming together of shoes...it's called reverence and respect which this entire ceremony(not circus) is about. It's so easy to criticize when you have never walked in someone else's shoes. And the Army and Marine criticism needs to be put in check. We serve under the same flag for the same country. More then once each side has saved the others. Continue to stand tall gentlemen you are all Americas finest. HOOAAH!!!!
KillsQuick Yes I also noticed the respect of standing attention and non click in front of the Tomb's, I also noticed that at the hand down at the side the tips of the gloved fingers were curled inwards, wonderful video, and very emotional, the Honor Guard are special, (in my humble opinion).
Total discipline dedication and precision. These soldiers are a credit to their country and to the memory of the Unknown Soldier. Deep respect and regards from England.
pretty touching, a lot of younger people there you'd usually think as part of the apathetic crowd standing up out of respect for the moment they're witnessing, even though they weren't verbally told to do so. It's easy to criticize a younger generation, but they're as human as older generations. Things are a bit different for them, but they're not morally bankrupt like they're unfairly made out to be.
This is an old comment, but I feel like I must say something. I am part of Gen Z, and I have had my fair share of older generations chastising me for "being lazy", "not knowing the hardships we've faced", as well as the oh so common "back in my day". When I hear these things, it makes me sad. Older generations seem to look down on my generation, as well as Millennials, seemingly because we haven't faced the kinds of things they have faced. This is true, but maybe that is because the hardships haven't come, at least, until now. I would also like to say that no, not all of the older generations are like this, and no, not all of the younger generations aren't bad, on both sides there is bad, we just have to work together to make more good than bad. Also, for any entitled older people, age does not mean wisdom, and for younger people, age does not mean innocence or lack of understanding and empathy.
Beautifully filmed and angled. I remain in awe of the respect we as humans are capable of in death, when in life we disrespect each other so openly every day. If only there were a way we could see each other's worth before death...
It's the M14EBR (ceremonial version with wood instead of composite). It's still in service as marksman riffle. The blue uniform look ok-ish not the best. I like the Army Green more than Blue because the Blue make us look like marching band.
Ryan Nguyen thanks that's sweet😊 yes the green uniform and pretty also put the blue and prettier for ceremonies but otherwise the US Army and one of the world's best equipped film compared to us France although we are 5th world power it is not worth your army😉😉
Joseph Weaver the M1 was and is a terrific rifle and was very instrumental to victory in WWII, however, the guards do carry an M14. It is stated so in the FAQ section of tombguard.org.
This sense of respect for their fallen soldiers, should be taught to respect all peoples for peace. The other countries in the world who honor their fallen not use the same respect for these military. Great respect for the values of this nation. We should all take a leaf
Back in 2014 I was headed to the CGA in New London and made a stop in DC to see the Tomb of the Unknow. Made me really understand about the journey I was about to undertake.
This is so awesome tribute to the soldiers I believe people don't appreciate the blood sacrifices of our fallen soldiers as much as in the past I hope this continues.
To those across the pond, you are still our brothers and sisters. We respect and honor your fallen as well. We don't know the remains of the soldiers in the tomb. They served and died. I'm a vet and to all my brothers and sisters out there, foreign or domestic, thank you for your service.
The tomb of the unknown is not just for the families that never got to bury their dead, it’s for all those poor souls that died scared and alone on the battlefield but still fought and died, proudly to serve their country and to protect everyone they love. That’s why the Sentinel is so important, they’re not just guarding the tomb they are symbolically comforting those who had no one in their last moments on earth.
YHWH knows their names....you are so blessed to live in the “Land of the free and the Home of the brave..”..may their sacrifices be always remembered ... Praying for the U.S.A...and its people..
This video is impressive but if you have a chance to see it in person it is well worth the trip to Arlington. I may be a bit sentimental but the men and women buried there gave their lives for our country and deserve the respect they earned by serving us. I cried like a baby when I visited the Viet Nam Memorial and tear up every time I see a fallen military man or women laid to rest. God bless them and God Bless America.
I never get tired of watching these 'Tomb' videos. It makes me proud that I served in the U.S. Navy.
I love that in the sentinels proximity to the tomb those usual loud heel clicks were so very light and respectful.
It never gets old to watch them in action.

It's so easy to criticize when you have never walked in someone else's shoes. And the Army and Marine criticism needs to be put in check. We serve under the same flag for the same country. More then once each side has saved the others. Continue to stand tall gentlemen you are all Americas finest. HOOAAH!!!!

Yes I also noticed the respect of standing attention and non click in front of the Tomb's, I also noticed that at the hand down at the side the tips of the gloved fingers were curled inwards, wonderful video, and very emotional, the Honor Guard are special, (in my humble opinion).
Absolutely.
*Sad airforce noises*
Total discipline dedication and precision. These soldiers are a credit to their country and to the memory of the Unknown Soldier. Deep respect and regards from England.
Perfection,discipline, honor

I love my country and those who protect it....thank you for your service.🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I love to watch them. They are awesome and they move so confident and controlled. God bless them.
The sentinels wear sunglasses because of the bright reflection from the marble surrounding the Tomb and the Memorial Amphitheater.
Paul G really I think it too
I don’t understand why would you put thumbs down 👎🏻 all my respect to these soldiers Blessing 🙏🏻
pretty touching, a lot of younger people there you'd usually think as part of the apathetic crowd standing up out of respect for the moment they're witnessing, even though they weren't verbally told to do so.
The Americans are really very patriotic I love it
We understand sacrifice. Thank you for your kind words🙏
I’m proud to be an American and Blessed by the lives these men and laid down for us. RIP 🙏❤️👏👀
the uniforms of your soldiers are beautiful👍😉
and what is the name of his ceremonial rifles please😊
It's the M14EBR (ceremonial version with wood instead of composite). It's still in service as marksman riffle. The blue uniform look ok-ish not the best. I like the Army Green more than Blue because the Blue make us look like marching band.
Ryan Nguyen
thanks that's sweet😊
yes the green uniform and pretty also put the blue and prettier for ceremonies but otherwise the US Army and one of the world's best equipped film compared to us France although we are 5th world power it is not worth your army😉😉
Ryan Nguyen
The Greens were a service not a dress uniform. The Greens looked like corporate shit!
@@ryannguyen7466 I thought it was a M1 Garand😕
Joseph Weaver the M1 was and is a terrific rifle and was very instrumental to victory in WWII, however, the guards do carry an M14. It is stated so in the FAQ section of tombguard.org.
“Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God”.
I'm from England but I'm more keen on the USA.
You HAVE to see this in person!
These Guards renew your faith in the fact that there are still patriotic young Americans who "get it" !🇺🇸
POVO que ama seus Heróis, próspera diante das adversidades.
Parabéns pelas atitudes.
I am honored to see this and i am an Retired US Navy Veteran
This sense of respect for their fallen soldiers, should be taught to respect all peoples for peace. The other countries in the world who honor their fallen not use the same respect for these military. Great respect for the values of this nation. We should all take a leaf
Back in 2014 I was headed to the CGA in New London and made a stop in DC to see the Tomb of the Unknow. Made me really understand about the journey I was about to undertake.
God bless The Old Guard, especially those in service at the Tomb.
Iam not an American, but for me it is a great sign to honour those who gave their life for their country.
Salute for this!
May God always bless our troops and protect them from evil 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
These is the first time I saw you these,God bless you he fallen hero's
Millions of blessings and love to all military fathers in all the forces: God bless you all for your service!!!!!!✌......shyloh
This is so awesome tribute to the soldiers I believe people don't appreciate the blood sacrifices of our fallen soldiers as much as in the past I hope this continues.
I don't know why but i find this intensely moving.
To those across the pond, you are still our brothers and sisters. We respect and honor your fallen as well. We don't know the remains of the soldiers in the tomb. They served and died. I'm a vet and to all my brothers and sisters out there, foreign or domestic, thank you for your service.
The unknowing will never know the price, will never imagine the cost.
The tomb of the unknown is not just for the families that never got to bury their dead, it’s for all those poor souls that died scared and alone on the battlefield but still fought and died, proudly to serve their country and to protect everyone they love. That’s why the Sentinel is so important, they’re not just guarding the tomb they are symbolically comforting those who had no one in their last moments on earth.
wow. thank you for your service
I Just Luv……To See These Kinds Of Ceremonies; I Could Watch Them All Day Long.❤❤❤❤
God bless America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
Wozu brauche die Amis die Mörderische Armee wenn Gott sie schon beschützt??? Demnach ist das Schutzvertrauen in Gott nicht besonders groß.
That uniform is probably one of the most stylish ones in the modern military.
YHWH knows their names....you are so blessed to live in the “Land of the free and the Home of the brave..”..may their sacrifices be always remembered ...
Praying for the U.S.A...and its people..
Thanks so so much for your kind words!😊
Praise Yahweh, the Creator, the most powerful one.
My grandfather served in the Army as a Military Policeman in Korea for 2 years, God Bless the Army and everything they do. ❤️❤️❤️
look at that gorgeous M14
This video is impressive but if you have a chance to see it in person it is well worth the trip to Arlington. I may be a bit sentimental but the men and women buried there gave their lives for our country and deserve the respect they earned by serving us. I cried like a baby when I visited the Viet Nam Memorial and tear up every time I see a fallen military man or women laid to rest. God bless them and God Bless America.
Did someone do a Chewbacca growl at 7:28??
tweevers2 lmfao I heard it too! And I don’t know, what place does that have here.
I heard it also. No disrespect to those who have fallen but damn I lmao for a second. I have to think the fallen laughed also
Não é para muitos! Grande homenagem!! Parabéns!!!
Makes me feel when watching them everything will be ok
Totally awesome. Total respect. Could someone explain where this style of drill originated from.
GOD BLEES AMERICA
And Gob bless us all .
Our lord bless this brave womens and mens that are fighting for this country every single day and night. Amen
Jorge De Los Santos so true... Amen
