In fact, I am delighted with this very lightweight audio headset, incredibly comfortable, with sound quality that is sufficient, and moreover, it performs much better than far more sophisticated products for making phone calls. It even works well for WhatsApp calls, which is not always the case with other headsets. I am much more critical regarding the non-standard charger, which is truly bothersome. In fact, unlike most other headsets, if we forget the charging cable, we cannot replace it with a standard USB cable that we can find everywhere... we have to store the headset and wait until we return to charge it.
Thanks, 1 year later I am arriving at this solution for teams. I like it because it looks so minimalistic. I also consider this version instead of the opencomm and will use for meetings. I hope the microphone is better that your demonstrations and some quality was lost through the Galaxy phone but if not, I will use a Rhode microphone. For me I am choosing between this and a rhode wired headset
This was good and very informative. I'm considering these. Zoom has some very good noise cancellation built into its software so it would have been important to state if noise suppression was on or off
Your title indicates that this works with Microsoft Teams. Your video didn't touch it at all. How does it work with Teams? My main question is regarding muting. 1- Does the headset have a mute button. 2- Is the mute button on the headset in synch with Teams? i.e. Can I use either the mute button on the headset or the button in the app to mute/unmute?
Im aware of the usb stick delivered by most UC headset vendors like Jabra; they make the headset certified for MS Teams and pressing mute etc are then working in MS Teams. Maybe test the UC version for comparison?
I bought these for work. While i love the idea, the sound is just too muffled. The EQ in the app isn't good enough. They should allow users to create their own eq.
I bought this model, and I have some problems with this headphone 1- single or double click has the same beep, and while listening to music, it is a bit confusing 2- headphone ergonomy is very bad for wearing a hat in winter or lay down on the pillow and same bad experience with bicycle helmets 3- There is no auto switch off system. If you forget to turn off its work to drain all of the battery juice 4- I miss the piroxymeter sensor. This device does not have any system or hardware to know if you are wearing headphone or not 5- There is no option to turn off welcome and battery level voice assistance
I would like to thank you very much for your very informative video. I came across the Shokz because my office headset was broken. Until this video, I was looking at the SHOKZ OpenComm2UC, which still has a boom microphone. In a comparative test, the voice quality was unfortunately only slightly better than the OpenRun Pro. After your great video, I will probably take a closer look at the OpenRun Pro, as the extra microphone would be a bit annoying when cycling, for example. Can you actually use the OpenRun Pro with a USB dongle? I now have a dongle left over from my defective Jabra headset. I can at least use it to connect my AirPodsPro, but it's not really suitable for the office. Thank you very much for your great video!
You are very welcome and thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. I haven't tried using openrun pro with a USB dongle. Do you mean USB bluetooth dongle? If your desktop PC or laptop has bluetooth, it's better to connect directly to the device bluetooth.
You’ve sold me on the open run pros which are on sale now. I really want to buy the comms but seem very expensive for my use case (5 calls a day or so). Hopefully an upgrade from my airpod pro! Thanks
I have a question, I have a different brand of bond conduction earphones and when I turn up the vol, it's kind of ticklish, is it same as the open run pro?
I bought a Shokz headset in the past and had an issue when I would mute my MS Teams call. It would constantly tell me that my call was muted. Has this been resolved?
By connecting to your computer's Bluetooth. Set the shokz into pairing mode, go to your computer Bluetooth settings and set it to scan for shokz and then connect. Once shokz is paired to your computer, zoom and all other programs on your computer can use shokz connection.
Unfortunately both mute and volume control don't work when we use MS teams. But if your laptop is not old, mute function works with F8 key even MS teams works underground which is quite good for SHOKZ products.
Thats very kind of you to test it on office laptop. Certainly useful. Havent seen any other video doing a review like this one. Thumbs up ! 👍
I'm glad you lfind it useful. Thanks for the feedback
it's so odd, the guy in the outdoors using this had a better mic sample compared to this where the mic doesn't sound good. Thanks for the sample!

Awesome! Very well explained in detail all the basic points.
The bass (and all sound) on these really comes through when you use some ear plugs. Earplugs also come in hand to use these in a noisy environment.

That's a good suggestion. Maybe the uc has auto mute for MS Teams. However, I don't have the UC to try it out.
Thank you. You made my decision easier.
Glad to know. Thanks

Great video bro. Very helpful
Thanks I appreciate your effort giving me this feedback.

Do we Mute and Unmute buttons? This is important during Teams meetings

Is it good for calling and zoom meetings??
You’ve sold me on the open run pros which are on sale now. I really want to buy the comms but seem very expensive for my use case (5 calls a day or so).
Hopefully an upgrade from my airpod pro! Thanks
That's great to know. Thanks for your feedback.
Personally I think the opencomm2 will be worth it for me personally as i spend hours per day in meetings
I have a question, I have a different brand of bond conduction earphones and when I turn up the vol, it's kind of ticklish, is it same as the open run pro?
Yes they all need to vibrate harder to deliver the bass because its bone conducting
The Open Run Pro 2 has helped to reduce the 'ticklish' feeling with both Bone + Air conduction,
I bought a Shokz headset in the past and had an issue when I would mute my MS Teams call. It would constantly tell me that my call was muted. Has this been resolved?
yes Shokz opencomm2 UC got rid of the mute notifications noise
Great test, thanks :)
You're welcome! Glad you liked it.
How do I connect my shokz to Zoom?
By connecting to your computer's Bluetooth. Set the shokz into pairing mode, go to your computer Bluetooth settings and set it to scan for shokz and then connect. Once shokz is paired to your computer, zoom and all other programs on your computer can use shokz connection.
Does the open run have noise cancelling as well?. Thanks
No not that I remember.
The only question is does it have a mute button? otherwise all good
Nope, there is no mute button for both the microphone and speakers.
It doesn't have a standalone mute button, but you can mute a call by pressing both the volume up/down button at the same time for 2 seconds.
Unfortunately both mute and volume control don't work when we use MS teams. But if your laptop is not old, mute function works with F8 key even MS teams works underground which is quite good for SHOKZ products.
This is killing me because my microphone quality isnt nearly as good with this headset
What a ridiculous mic test. Why don't you just record sound from mic on your laptop?
do not buy this junk, they sound like am radio. total waste of money
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
