On my trek to the World's Best Buffet to Narbonne, I made a stop in Barcelona on my way there and was happy to discover a wonder Spanish Chinese Restaurant serving the fresh seafood and lobsters of Spain, cooked to perfection and grilled to order.
After a long day of exploring the famous landmarks of Barcelona such as La Sagrada Familia and other works of Gaudi, I took a stroll on Las Ramblas to tour the food stalls and entered into Mercado de La Boqueria for a light snack. I was glad to receive some sage advice from the locals to not eat too much there...it was a bit of a tourist trap! I was glad to heed such good advice as later in the evening, I came across Wok Dao! Barcelona's largest Chinese Spanish Buffet.
And not only is Wok Dao the largest, but also bodes the best value! At $28, the selection of meats and seafood is astounding! From gigantic shrimp and prawns to stir fried lobster that was served steaming hot and gone within seconds from the hungry patrons. And it doesn't get fresher than this as an endless selection of seafood, meats, and veggies are there for your selection and then grilled to order by the hardworking chefs working that fiery hot grill.
A fantastic experience and if you're traveling to Barcelona, Spain, definitely worth a visit!

@@DavidSriracha to be honest, I kinda got weepy eyed at some moments. It was indescribable and I've never experienced anything like it. I ended up spending 6hrs there but probably tried 10% of the items... Caviar, lobster, champagne, etc and it was about $60usd

What an incredibly great value for $28 - just amazing! In the US that could easily go for $128 or as much as $228. Great video as usual.

This was quite a nice experience and incredible value. It didn't show on the video, but it was incredible to see the chefs at the back sweating over the grill

Definitely great value for eats! The drinks are interesting as they tend to give you complementary glasses to try after ordering your first...which can be a bit dangerous 😀

Tim another impressive video. I wish I had known about it when I visited Barcelona. That is a cheap buffet. Im in Canada and in Ontario there is none like that and for that buffet it would easily be x3 or x4 the price. Thanks again. 😊 ❤

My backpack was stolen on the pier at the end of Las Ramblas. Thieves worked in tandem by distracting me in conversation while another ran off with my backpack. I caught up with the distractor made a scene and plain clothes police arrested him. Barcelona was the only place in the world I encountered thieves. Glad you were taking precautions. Even friendly Spaniards can't be trusted!
The buffet looked fabulous, but I hate greedy diners who grab copious amounts of one dish. Ugh. Glad you were able to enjoy some of the buffet. Thanks for showing us some of the good, bad & ugly. 😅
It was quite an experience.. however, you're not alone with having things taken. I soon found out after that my phone was taken as well in Barcelona. I was able to track it in an industrial area, but decided not to go looking for it on my own 😉
I'm sorry your phone was stolen in Barcelona. That's a major bummer!! There is no honor there. I've traveled extensively and never lost a thing until I visited Barcelona which is a wonderful place to visit, but notorious for pickpockets and con artists. I found my empty backpack which was tossed not too far from where it was taken. Thankfully, I had nothing of value in it. Your cellphone is indispensable with your extensive contacts, etc. so I can't imagine how you must feel. Were you able to contact your carrier to disable your phone? Sorry this happened to you. I hate when bad things happen to good people.

alus8189, 99% of those thieves are not from Spain, so don't jump to xenophobic conclusions. And Where are you from? Because there are a million places in the world where the crime rate is much higher than in Barcelona. And another thing, 95% of Spain is much safer than downtown Barcelona, so you shouldn't put the whole country in the sack, and Spain according to all studies is one of the safest countries in the world.
What a great deal. While there were some misses way more positives. The selection of seafood puts it over the top.
The value is certainly there... The prices were quite different from those of Vegas. Very enjoyable visit 😀

I'm being brave and visiting Antalya in Turkey alone for a week on the 5th November from the UK 🇬🇧 its a pity (for me) that you're in Spain instead. I'd have loved to pick your brains on your thoughts of the local food and how best to eat it as I'm a shy/anxious traveller. 😮😅
You’re going to enjoy Antalya. I was there in 1984 and had a fantastic time. The people were friendly and the food was awesome. Very scenic with mountains to the west of the city.
This is absolutely wonderful! Fantastic to travel and explore new places. One thing I've always found helpful was to have a food tour in the new place as soon as possible. You kind of get a lay of the land so to speak and get to meet many people as well 😀

Where do you start with all that great food? I think this buffet is really good, for the price you paid. I'm impressed with it. The seafood looks amazing. I especially like the lobster, shrimp, clams, and the octopus. Vancouver is also on my itinerary to go to. I do have many relatives in British Columbia, including in Vancouver, but I have only been to Prince George, when I was really young, because one of my (late) aunts took me there on a train ride from Alberta, long ago. It was interesting, on the travels to spain, earlier last week, I met a new friend who was from Spain and heading to Chicago to run the marathon. He got his personal best and is going to do Boston next. Would love to visit Chicago someday 😀

Yeah, I did feel a bit weird going to a Chinese restaurant in Spain. We did get to enjoy many tapas and local dishes throughout the trip. Even McDonald's as suggested by the younger ones 🤦🏻♂️😉

While an abundant selection is a good thing, this place causes my eyes to gloss over.😅 I wonder about the quality of some items when they need to prepare so many different dishes. A few star options is better than a million mediocre ones.

I'm in Chicago and that looks amazing! I have NEVER seen oxtails on a buffet. I love them. We have a running joke about showing off your wealth by bragging about the amount of oxtails you can afford!
I know! Oxtail used to be one of the cheaper cuts and I can't believe how expensive it is now! I would love to visit Chicago one day, I met a good friend in Spain who was heading over there last week to run the marathon..

30.00 That's an amazing deal, the food served is exceptional for a buffet. Here in the USA it's all about high profits, here at the buffets they would never ever serve high end food, what you get is fish ass, and the cheapest cuts of beef, canned vegetables, and piss water for tea. And you'll see 300 lb folks swallowing it down.

Why Chinese in spain
I did feel a bit awkward having a Chinese buffet in spain. But we have had many tapas and a lot of the local dishes as well. It just so happened this was one of the largest buffets here so I had to give it a try 😀
