I used to want to be famous but now I DON'T CARE because I AM

There's nothing wrong with wanting to succeed or wanting to be famous, but what's the deeper reason for that desire? I think we've all been socialized to believe that once we're famous everything will finally be okay, but if we're not okay without the fame, what makes us think we'll be okay with the fame?
