I've been having a great time with this dlc so far, going to use these tips for my next play through when I bump up the difficulty.

I would also suggest anything with an animal companion as the animals companions never needed equipment before.
A final suggestion on class is bard and other classes that have buff spells/abilities as they can help overcome the equipment issue.

Also, great video and excellent information. I haven't played the DLC so my knowledge is only from the PnP RPG on how to overcome the challenges you named

Archaeologist for the skill monkey. Luck, Take 10, and perception/trickery skill boosts native to the class. Absolutely perfect for dungeoneering.
From there, more pets is better pets. Monster Tactician shines. Druids and Rangers make life easier with the requisite killodon. And then a dodge tank, because you still have the Touch AC to contend with. Preferably one with a couple pally lvls or a monk for high saves.

The spell selection of the game favours spontaneous casters also. Beasted this with an arcane sorcerer led party (Paladin, Archaeologist, Cleric, 2h Fighter/Armoured Hulk Barbarian multi-class, Wizard/Cleric Mystic Theurge).

Magus Scion has been a real darkhorse for me. Interchangable weapon buffs, heighten metamagic truestrike+spell combat, inviz/greater inviz and a shatter defenses feat progression made him my go to for annoying creature assassinations.

Workin on one of those myself. I went for the Abyssal Line for the extra umphh to my strength stat, and she owned for so long SOLO it was ridiculous. Of course, I power leveled her to 20 to test out the build so she was kinda OP for the longest time anyway, but goin in solo for 20+ levels was pretty amazing in my opinion, especially with the crap gear that randomly fell.

@@brothermutant7370 Abyssal is awesome! Especially for Tieflings. I ran it solo till it hit lvl 17 on hard difficulty. Boss fights on unfair. Undead is also pretty strong because of the spells and immunities.

True dat. I am starting to have a hard time with some of the other Bloodlines. A few are just plain awful. Its going to be interesting making some of them work. Arcane is still my fav though. How can anyone not like 3 more free spells as you level up? Getting access to Sense Vitals at level 9 raises that Magus to a whole new level of pain.

@@brothermutant7370 Truth! It's also the best melee class I've found to get respectable spell DCs if you build it that way.

That's the plan. Problem is "what spell focus to focus on?" Kidding. Of course its Evocation.
      OR is it? o.O

This mode is so fun to play. And awesome to test your builds. From my tests, druids are the best picks by far due to the innate option to buff animal companions. Also, you can rest inside dungeons. Strength is also not that important since you can in & out of the dungeon even when above weight capacity. You do not need use magic device to use scrolls in the "town" so you can raise and buff before entering the dungeon. The items that you can reliably get are protection rings, armors and cloack of protections. A nice strategy is plan you characters based on the items sold (there is always a +5 weapon and things like that). Finally: GET TRUE SEEING AND DEATH WARD. You will absolutely need it for 30+ floor.

There's not always a +5. Had a run the other day where the best weapon in the shop was a +2

Perception is the single best skill you can have in this DLC and you should have it on 2-3 characters if you can swing it

Is the DLC different than playing through this dungeon during the campaign? I bought the game and after playing it a week or so knew I'd want to get the DLC available so I bought all the DLC off of Steam. Was this dungeon in there as part of the campaign or was it added? I am guessing that the DLC made it available to play the dungeon by itself and level through just the dungeon. I guess what I'm saying is the DLC made a game out of just the dungeon and makes it a solo content. Let me know peeps.

the dungeon is added by the DLC. So you will not have it in the campaign or as a standalone mode without buying it.

this is a good video overall but i disagree about charisma being useless , some (sub) classes make use of charisma like paladin , bard and 1 of the monk sub-classes but you are right otherwise about persuasion is pretty much useless unless you use the demoralise skill
