This is a pretty savage fight. He has 13 levels, over 200 hp, freedom of movement, barbarian rage, and can deal 90 damage to a target while his haste is up. It is such a huge difficulty spike compared to what you fight earlier in the chapter.
The game has no difficulty spike. Its either horizontal or vertikal. Most of the time the enemy party composition is very much like the first part of ancient curse: A bunch of enemies that you can deal with one character and among them is one, that can deal with all of yours no matter what. But thats still very generous, most (mini)bosses are going together in a gang or at least they are all one after another on the same location.
This fight is really easy once you take (acid) bomber Jubilost in the party + anyone who casts some minions to distract Hargulka. As soon as he attacks the summons the rest of the group beats up Tartuccio, leaving the bomber to target the troll at a distance then quickly finishes them both off
Hideous Laughter on Tartuk, then just throw some Controlled Fireballs at Hargulka (and bombs, if you have them). Done. No need to summon or pre-buff. Might be easier on Turn-Based.
I managed to kite the boss. Put +30 Movement on a party member and got agro then ran away in circles while party peppered the troll with range skills. the one that dies last, has to be defeated twice. so ignore the kobold king because he is way easier than the troll. Kill troll. Kill kobold. Have a conversation. Fight kobold king anew. This fight was really really hard.
I could kill him first attempt, with everyone fatigued, because It's my first playing ever, but with only eken alive. I'd have wiped out with 2 seconds more of fighting. This guys is really tough.
@@KIWI-un8fs lol not really. Was first game I guess I was on normal mode. Eken was as usual getting lucky critical strikes in a row. Everyone else fell quickly on hargulka... Second playing was piece of cake with the "laughter skill". I don't get your useless sarcasm, nothing too great to achieve.
I had a lvl10 Arcane Trickster launch empowered scorching ray. Ekun launched 4 acid arrows from his bow, critting twice. Half Hargulkas health alone. Valerie chomping away with sneak attack. He finally died from Jubilosts fast acid bombs. Tartuk lasted 1 extra round. On normal, the only enemy action in turn based was Tartuk casting haste. Displacement, bulls strength and enlarge on tank valerie. Aspect of falcon on Ekun with his many shot, and the special acid bow found near Karguud or whatever. Haste, song of courage, good hope and bless on everyone. Really thought the fight would be more difficult. But the troll king was near dead after lvl6 Ekun and my AT went. Jubilant finished him and Tartuk went down harder. I suppose it would have been but the initiative gods were watching out for me.
PoE is awesome, but even on PotD difficulty it's easier. The rng isn't nearly as bad as this game. This game is ridiculous sometimes with both the amount of consecutive critical failures and nat 20s

sure dude, and you did all of this in the max difficulty...blindfolded, without pause, in a "no save run" having the period and not older than 18...

This game reminds me of pillars of Eternity. That was such a hard game.
Yeah, it's pretty similar. I think Pathfinder is even harder
