I would say the Basilica because of the background information provided. I appreciate that you don’t just show us, but it is kind of like having a guide.
Always happy to watch your videos Sailing Trinity! We 've been to Fiskardo in August 2023 and it was totally different. You couldn't find a place to anchor. We visited the cemetery. It was worth it! But we didn't visit the Basilika so your video helped us to experience it too. We stayed at Xylokaravo bay, a bit south to Fiskardo. It was quiet and really beautiful. Just be on alert for bees. I understand that you visited the Aegean in June. This year the meltemi (north) wind is crazy. Stay safe and we are waiting for your new videos!
So happy to have you here as always!! A lot of people have said the same to us about Fiskardo being insanely busy - one reason we were glad to visit in may. Well there you go, one place from each of us haha. What was the cemetery like? - it seemed great when I researched it. We will look into that bay if we visit again. Yes, we are currently in the Aegean, looking to head back to the Ionian soon enough - the wind has caused us some serious serious days haha... you'll just have to wait and see for those episodes!!
The obvious pleasure and safety of "Buddy Boating" has really showed its face this season with Trinity and Salty. I am so glad you all were safe as well as your vessels with swift action taken and communicated. As far as the graveyard and two light houses, yes it was a miss, but I do believe you will all still have such a wonderful time discovering more historically rich and beautiful places throughout the remainder of Season Two and beyond! As always thank you all so much for having us all along, it truly is an adventure to enjoy for all of us. I think those nice chain markers and the guide you put on the cover are working well for you. Just have to keep that mud off the chain to see them well, have a wonderful safe voyage until we see you next! PS. Don't forget the Sun Block.
You are so very right about the chain markers AND the buddy boating - we are certainly much better off with them both ;) Once again it is such a pleasure to hear from you, and we are so so so happy that you get so much from the episodes. Makes all the hard work worth it x100000!! You’re going to lovee the rest of the season. What are you looking forward to seeing most?? Anything in particular? ⭐️❤️🩹
Excellent ep guys. Terrible shame about the Roman graveyard/cemetery...was looking forward to that! Maybe you'll come across another one this season! p.s. "cheeky" + "chomps" in one episode? Nice. Next I'll be hearing a huge "JOOOOOOOOOE!!" over the starboard bow 🙂
Cheers :) we agree… but don’t worry we have plenty of exciting places in store this season. Cheeks and chomps shall also be involved in the making of future episodes Ahaha. What are you most looking forward to for next episode??
Great ep 😊, it's a same you (& us) missed out on the cemetery but I'm sure you'll have many more amazing adventures - looking foward to you sharing them. Keep up the great work!
17:28 when you need to "get out of of dodge" ASAP, don't worry about mud on your anchor. Get it made, and get out of there. Happily, you got the warning in time, so you had time to clean the anchor.
Got the first preview of this amazing episode while travelling with our amazing Sailing Trinity friends and seeing Greece from a whole new perspective… there is so much in store so stayed tuned🚤💞
ok... this is a shame... there is so much to see in Fiskardo... ok... why are you still using that old Delta anchor.. i thought you guys bought a Rocna? and i have never seen that town so empty... crazy.... ok.. first... are you guys using the cruising guide for Greece? that spot you were in is where the mega yachts park.. and they put out about 300m of chain to tie back to that point... the cemetery was right behind you.. literally right behind you... on the beach... you could have thrown a tennis ball and hit it... and that jetty you got picked up on.. is the jetty I was talking about previously that the day tripper boats tie to.. so between there and the lighthouse on the point is where most people tie back on the north shore.. there are iron rings in the wall put in by the town and in the summer you will see 50+ boats on that wall.... fender to fender.... ya.. i cant believe no one was there... but that north wall has good protection from the prevailing wind... and just around the corner... is a big cave.. in a small bay that has even better protection... and you missed one of the best restraunts in the Ionian... Lord Falcon... its a great Thi restraunt in behind the art galery... oh.. the light house was a venetian lighthouse.... I know all this is now mute as your over in the agean now... but who knows if you might come back... Fiskardo is a very safe place compared to many ports...and Vathy can get a very sever katabatic wind in the afternoon that will make med mooring difficult till it settles down near sunset. but i suspect you know that now... i like Fiskardo and Kioni over Vathy... and when in Greece... count how many places are called Vathy.. i guess it means village? And yes buddy boats are great..
This was in early May! The town was surprisingly empty. No one on the walking trails either. In terms of anchor, we do still have the delta yes, she’s done us well. We might look into something else in winter - for now we are pleased. We use our green waters pilot book and navily for the areas. We have seen pictures in summer of all the super yachts and their lines ashore in that same spot! Thankyou for the suggestion, if we go back here we will look elsewhere to moor. We might visit kioni too when we come back to the Ionian. Hahaha sooo many places called Vathy in Greece, we laugh every-time we come across one. There’s are also many Agios Nikolaos every where here!! Do you have any other places in the Ionian that you highly recommend? We are thinking to stay there for next season??
Did you guys prefer exploring the Basillica OR the Town with us??? Tell us about it below :)

WOW... amazing scenery. Absolutely stunning
Had the honor, of spending time, with captain and crew, great time had by all, we even had freshly caught fish for dinner, delicious..

The houses and villages, nestled along the coast. And the sea is such an intense blue, too. Just gorgeous.
A pity about the slipping anchor. Great ep.
It really was such a beautiful place right?! Have you ever been anywhere similar??

Out of dodge haha nice! We avoided danger and a muddy anchor ;) win win for us. We're glad salty's were there to warn us!!
