- As the number of children with autism rises in the US, so does the number of autistic adults who need services. Many end up in group home and, as Ines Ferre reports, the wait lists for those homes are growing.
Man, no wonder there aren't more homes like this and they're so hard to get into. Only 5 to 7 adults per home and they have to have to have one staff member for every 2 to 3 residents... the cost and upkeep of a place like that, and having a staff member there 247... that is a lot to keep running every day.
I do NOT want to live in a group home with other autistic adults. I'd like to live independentley with my friends from high school and college.
Are you able, great! My son isn't.
Unfortunately, there is a misspelling in your comment. Off to the group home you go.
@@Lightning14364K Guys, I choose not to live in a group home with other people with Autism. Understand?
Although I may have autism, but I would prefer to live in a house by myself, or maybe just with one housemate and that’s it. I wouldn’t feel comfortable living in a group home.
I honestly would feel the same way
i have disability i would never live in a group home theres no privacy your watched all the time and cant go out at your own will. its like a prison home.
I never want to live in one of those places
Nope not me
Neither do I
Hi. I'm looking for a place like this in California...do you know of one close to me for my sister?
Such simple people.
Yes, they live the best life ever probably. No pride or anything, they are blessed
Absolutely brutal.
Now adults who thinks they could be mild autistic or late diagnosed will dislike this video
Autism is not Down Syndrome.
Dude. Autism and Down Syndrome are the same thing.

I have a learning disability childhood DX and am possibly autistic. I'd rather die than end up like rhese unlucky fuckers.
Hang about. What do you mean, “unlucky fuckers”? 😮😮😮😮
