Nice rig brotha. I was always running 25:1 before but with everyone talking about 50:1 I'm going to give it a try. Seems like with 25 there is always allot of excess oil kicking around in my engine anyways.

@@FoundryRC oh Gary, you are going to fall in love with these wheels brother!! You saw on my short run video the roost and ruts those knobbies were leaving and i was never past 1/2 throttle!😁👍 also not to mention it does steer faster as well quicker response no doubt!

Rovan doesn't sell these wheels and tires if you need spares . Nor will you get spare parts for 10 mm shocks .
I have the max 5t with these wheels ( now called the EXT ) and was told you'll need to buy the car to get the wheels.

Hey I just picked up this same buggy the 5TS. Mine seems like it’s struggling to get going. The engine is running strong but it’s slow off the line and takes a while to get going. I put about one take through it so it’s still new. Any suggestions? Is there a clutch adjustment maybe?

King Kong 💯 the only things I did was Kill-switch, (a must) tachometer, and because I was already there I installed a GBE engine mount, changed the radio because I do not trust the stock one. And I had a blast.

I going back 32:1 every thing dirtbikes trike, and rcs 25; 1 drove me crazy never understood especially with synthetics my trike calls for 20:1 but back than oil wasn't as good. I think you can run 50;1 but more bc government wants and you too they have to comply to sell 2 strokes but the motors wont last as long most ppl dont use there rcs dirtbikes chainsaws enough to realize but using everyday or few times week year after year jmo , I still use golden spectro btw ik uk that is , we looking for spot for 5th scales i visited old dirtbike spot place we live sucks for that stuff have leave the island to have fun w motor sports
Paul Clancy Im more concerned about power! If you tune right 50:1 wont hurt a thing! All chainsaws n weed eaters n blowers use 50:1 and run wide open! Yea at 11k but its full tilt. My engine runs way cooler with race gas and 50:1 to much oil causes excessive heat! 25:1 is old school ways if thinking and running because back then oils sucked! Now we got good Amzoil Synthetic and with that 25:1 is a major over kill! Golden spectro I used to run that messy oil. Its good stuff but it gets black residue everywhere! I ran it in my KX500 after I got tired if the mess I switched to castor 927 and never looked back! But spectro made my weed eater last 13 years. And it was supposed to be ran at 44:1 but I did 50:1 never hurt it. I just did a video to prove that 50:1 is safe.

You can buy the 50 to one ready to pour in at Walmart an it's made buy vp racing same race fuel I run in my 70 camarp with out the two stroke oilcourse check it out walmart it don't say vp on the bottle but 50 to one
i know the fuel you are talking about but I prefer to mix my own oil
Will the side mount bartolone pipe fit on this?
Do you still run 50:1 in it and dis you go that way with all your rides

Big John D I can understand why they call for so much oil. They are trying to protect the engine from the guy who over leans the engine but I really am starting to see it is all just overkill and really affects the performance of the engines too much oil makes the engines run hotter to. But I am no means recommending it yet I still don’t have much experience with it myself. it would be hard for me to say for someone else to do it without me fully testing it first.
Foundry RC Yea for sure !!! I watch all Jeff’s videos on his 45cc and John running his Raminator on 50:1 and 👍🏼 . The one I run on 50:1 still rums good !! Keep up the great work!!

Got mine radio loses range tires no good pipe no good dog bones broke and just finish breaking in the motor so I only run this Baja max like two tanks of fuel and it’s been nothing but issues

@@mikieemiike3979 can’t recommend this rovan but it’s up to you. Get a losi or kraken vetka even use you find them in good conditions

Have you noticed a noise from the tyres as I noticed that the tyre can't keep up with the rim's when they are running
i have changed them out right away i was not happy at all with the stock tires

Have you had any issues with snapping dog bone pins? Everytime I take mine out to drive it, within 5 minutes of run time I snap a dog bone pin. Any ideas on why it would do that or how to fix it.
I have not had that happen try putting a little grease on them and look at DDM or TaylorRC for an upgraded version.
@@FoundryRC yeah they all have been greased. Was looking at the IRC UHD ones with the UHD out drive cups but everywhere is out of stock.

Hi Gary I seen a video of the tmr 45cc red head motor is it anywhere close to the brovan 45cc as far as power I want something with decent torch but still get up there in speed.. man bottajell did a great job on the brovan build! Really want to give the drag racing a shot and the dirt drag looks like something I really would like to do...if a get a rode drag one would it be best to start out with a ready to run? I'm new but def would love to come out and try it def looks like a lot of fun just wish there where more people around here it would be alot easier if I needed some help..lol there is quite of few spots here that would be some nice spots for it my goal is to build a couple nice rides and maybe people see then they might try i always show yours and bottajell vids and it's crazy some never herd of these cars.lol but great vids nan!
hey, thanks for watching. I cannot personally speak for either Engine as I currently do not have either one of them but from what I saw on video it looks like they are both a good choice,,, Although they would not be my choice for drag racing

316 RC as long as the oil says it can be done which is normally those Premium 100% synthetic like amsoil Dominator and motul 800 2t and a few others. 50:1 is what run in my 30.5 and 46:1 in my 45cc

amir newson Thanks 🙏🏻 Bro I appreciate that. So before I tell you what I did I first want to tell you I recommend you follow the manufactures Break in procedures. That’s the best way to keep your warrantee in tack. With this buggy I did something completely new to me and that was running at 50:1 right from the start and what you see in the video Is the very first time I fired it up what I don’t show in the video is that I adjusted the high and low Needles to be much more rich pretty much close to Stalling and I have had great luck with it so far. The engine is in good shape there is lots of oil on the piston and I’m happy with it so far. On my other engines I did a heat cycle. And ran 24:1 for 1 gallon and I have the same results. But a lot of oil buildup in the exhaust. What I do not recommend you doing is putting a heat gun on the engine or putting 3 in one oil in the piston but that’s my opinion. I hope that helps I know it’s a bit confusing. But I tested something new with this buggy and so far I am happy with the results.

I absolutely love my max I should maybe rethink my gas oil mixture however seems like everyone is running these a lot leaner than your standard Baja engine set ups
by leaner, you mean less oil? Because I'm running mine a lot richer than I normally would Usually I turn my needles in from stock settings this one I turn the needles out More fuel less air
Foundry RC yes what is your ratio of gas to oil I believe in the video you said you are running 50: one is that correct. I know most of the Baja engines call for something like 25 or 28:1 which would be much more oil in the gas which in the motocross world we would refer to as a rich mixture obviously this really has nothing to do with where your screws are set that would come into the tuning. I have always been under the impression that running these engines at 25 or 28: one was a little too much oil but I always went with it airing on the side of caution

I just got my max 5ts today! Ot is awesome. This is my first baja platform. I have a losi 5t that I can work on blindfolded.... I know that truck in and out. I have some questions about this as far as setting it up and just how far I need to go with it in stock form. I do notice some things off the bat that need adjusting and tightening. Hey gary nice man I would try hilantronics black servo if you want crazy tourqe I use them and really like them very high tourqe spec not bad price and well built either detriot performance or predator rc! That truck is way nicer with that body I think that was the prototype body then they switched to the truck body max- t any way I'd take that body over max-t all day that's gonna be fun truck once your all set up def put the big dumper rear pipe on that truck if keep 45cc or go crazy and br 40 that bad boy or future alx or rcmax that truck screams bigbore!! Excited see what ya do
I have been looking to try a hilantronics servo I use their kill switches and love them. I am going to try a bunch of different exhaust on this truck I already have the Bartolone pipe and I am waiting for the big dumper And we will find out which performs best 💪🏻

Jason Mcnerney as far is the BR 40. What are used to do was run with the engine builder recommends every engine builder recommend something different and that’s usually what I do but when I complete my testing of 50 to 1 if I am satisfied I may branch out and try on my other engines also. I do not have a pipe for the BR 40 yet so I have time to figure out what I’m going to do. And I will be in contact with Chris to get his opinion. I will definitely put out a video telling everyone what I do.

Nice Rig..I have a Redcat Rampage MT 3...what replacement motor would you suggest for my r/c...It’s running a 990 carburetor..and dominator pipe..
patrick fugate so I assume you have the 29cc in there. I love the zenoah G320. But I would refer you to (the sweetie potato Meyer) here on UA-cam. Because I do not have the truck myself.
After I have mixed 28:1 and after I go through the gallon that I have I can switch to 50:1 with no problem I hope LOL and yes I'm over 18 LOL
Jim Lucas I’m not recommending it yet that is because I don’t have experience with it I don’t want to recommend something that I did not test out myself but so far it looks to be good.
@@FoundryRC it runs good on 28:1 but I figured it would have a little better performance at 50:1 I've always have been one to believe in trial and error it's not going to kill it so to speak LOL but I'll give It a shot.
