Plus at this time was only one of 3 Saxtoft MTC billet twins in existence in the world as i got one as a tester, before OBR twins were released either, so no i wasn't hurting on it at all in this vid, purely a video log of a very long term project's initial gentle run. Have a look at my other old vids to see it getting a proper flogging once it was run in if your vagina's are getting sandy watching this one of it putting around, lol.
To everyone saying this is too slow, it's a first run the engines need to be broken in. those motors are capable of MUCH higher RPM after some gas is put through them.
Simon from Olimat Engineering in Adelaide made the pipes, he sent them in un- assembled kit form so i could tack weld them together then he did all the final welding and mounting brackets, outlets etc. They sound so awesome and his pipe i run on my regular baja makes great broad power and has a great ex note - nice and deep!
I love this machine!! I've got a hpi baja sc that's piped but I'm picking up a used baja that needs quite a bit of tlc and I might just do a twin setup lol

Hey mate nah this is a BodySax/MTC billet bottom end running stock un-ported 34mm Zenoah marine cylinders with Darksoul heatsinks. It's got 19/55 gears with taller profile 5T paddles to give it some more legs, hoping to get it out again soon to finish running in the motor and then leaning it off to let it rev and play with the tune to get full power from it.
This is awesome mate, I'm kinda new into rc hobbies and I got a on road drift car electric, this makes me want to come to off road nitro or petrol whatever, love the motorvation short too lol. Only a Perth guy will pick that up lol. Is this in lancelin

+Keith Rozeski It is 5th scale. Much more fun than twice faster 10th scale on my opinion. It feels heavy and real. And other baja 5b's i seen are faster than this and cheaper. Probably all that metal slowing it down too much. On another hand, it is 1st run. Maybe he is not pushing it to max.
Nice build no hate but have you tried different pipes at all sounds like there holding you back I could be wrong plus it could be your audio can never tell unless I'm there watching
It was SO, SO nice to see someone actually warm there 2 stroke up perfectly! Idleing for a minute or so ... then a few blipps (while wheels are off the ground) to turn over the drivetrain and get a little heat into it, and then light to medium throttle till it hits operating temp! This puppy is running super rich ... id dare say this engine may be new by the way its been treated in this video ... This thing will be an animal once its broke in and leaned out!
It eats clutches like a bastard, about every 2 nd tank, as yep 20kg doesn't help, about to try the FS steel. 2 shoe clutch next as meant to be ok in the twins.....

you can get a digital stub antenna and ive run mine without a tube and it is just taped to the rollcage for ages and ive never had a problem.

You can buy these from MTC marine in Germany, TGN had them but don't stock them now. Pretty sure DDM have them in stock too, Search MTC/Bodysax twin.
