His favorite movie is Django 😂(I'm kidding! Smoky and the bandet)😅
Good lord that engine sounds like a threshing machine. McCornick Deering would be proud
Great find and fix Kenny. Lots of folks would have thrown a CVT at it out of habit and not of took time to verify and diag.
That's what I try to do. Thanks for watching! Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
CVTs get such a bad name, people are quick to blame the transmission. Good find and fix Kenny
They are crap!
@@namvet-l8m I'm not a fan either. I do think the newer ones may be a tad bit better, the older ones were horrible.
They probably just wanted to bill for a transmission replacement. Wouldn’t shock me in the slightest.
love the videos learned a lot from you.
Thanks for watching, appreciate the support. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Great job Kenny!
Tow truck def named his truck ....after Smokey and the Bandit.
The large FIREBIRD !!!
YAY! Success 😊 Hello Mr Kenny hope you and Mrs Meg have a wonderful weekend coming up 😊🎉 Great video sir!
Happy weekend to you too! Meg says hi. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
As a Nissan tech. The solenoids are not a common issue, occasionally you will replace one but I’ve never replaced all 3. One of the 3 is a lock solenoid for cold start. But they can easily be tested with an active test or by removing and applying power and ground. Easy diag
Great video very informative...Great job Kenny
Thanks for watching. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Happy New Year! Thanks Kenny and God bless y'all

Good video
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. Keep wrenching! Kenny
How did we ever get anywhere without a obd2 or a cam shaft position sensor basically a refinery on wheels
Had a former mechanic for a Nissan dealership tell me to never buy a used Nissan. He said to buy it new and get the lifetime drivetrain warranty because you will need it. That being said, I feel like every brand has issues. Ford had to rebuild the 10 speed in my 2019 F150 due to a factory defect at 84,000 miles.
Seems like a lot of manufacturers have their share of issues, unfortunately. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
@@WrenchingWithKenny for sure, currently having the front vacuum hubs for the 4X4 system replaced on the same truck. It’s already had cam phasers, a transmission rebuild, a purge valve, valve cover gaskets, the module that controls the infotainment system , and a tailgate latch assembly, all replaced since I bought it with 32 miles on it. I think it’s around 92,500 now.
@jimmyhorton8297 All the common Ford issues.
I bought my 2007 Altima in 2009 with 27k. First year of the CVT. I installed the additional factory transmission cooler and serviced the fluid every 60k (which is pushing it). The car now has 200k and still going strong on the original power train. Problem is people don't service them and romp on it. Two big no nos for CVT.
@ yeah, Ford told me when I bought my truck new in December of 2019, that I could go 10K on an oil change and the transmission was not designed to be serviced until 100K. I just laughed. I change my oil at 3K to 5K and the transmission had been serviced twice when a design flaw killed it at around 84K.
I see a lot of people trashing the CVTs and Nissan here including Kenny. I drive mostly Nissans for over 20 years now and never had any bad problems. The problems I see, as with a lot of other vehicles, (i used to work as Chrysler auto tech and CERTIFIED) most automatic trans today have converted to CVTs already, including Honda. As with any new invention, they all have their idiot faults to be correct by TSB, and customer feedback., and a lot of recalls. Even Toyotas have a few problems with bad frames, piston rings, etc. People today just won't do the maintenance since manufacturers keep telling them they don't need to until........ Now, in the CVT on Nissons, If you change the fluid with the designed fluid every 30,000 miles, they will last until the cows come home. And, ALL HYBRID cars/trucks have to use a CVT as a standard trans is not compatible.
It's all about preventative maintenance! Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Kenny can that scan tool put electronic parking breaks into service mode? If not do you know if an inexpensive tool for the DIY
@dougjones9493 Yes it does. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Hey Kenny what kinda car is tha we seen in the parking lot when you showed us the bandit tow truck. Looks sweet
Hey Kenny im looking to buy a new scanner but was wondering which version your using in the video is it the kingbolen 7 or 8?
Here is a link to the K10 Pro. The one is the video is no longer available amzn.to/4gXP5ll
I actually prefer it over my Snap On. Super easy to use & does more than the Snap On. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
@@WrenchingWithKenny ok awesome thank you very much for getting back to me I really appreciate it
Kenny did you get any of that rust check oil from Amazon yet in the red can
Yeah I would have assumed the trashy CVT (Nissan) but very surprised! Great job!!!!!
I am so nervous about the Nissan + Honda news 😮
You are not alone with your concern. Hopefully, Honda engineers will be in charge when/if the merger goes through. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Maybe Intake valve timing?
By your disclaimer, I assume you believe the lady may have bumped the shifter into neutral by accident and didn’t notice?
The Launch is currently unavailable...
Thanks for letting me know. I will have to check out another one to post after I get it. Keep wrenching! Kenny
@carsten4594 Here is a link to another Launch that I use amzn.to/400H3RJ
You mentioned the internet? Aren't you hard-wired to the obd port? What's the problem with the internet being wonky? I don't understand these things.
Yes, scanner is hard wired to obd port. Scanner has Bluetooth so it can connect to shops local network and access Internet.
Nissan they are driven. Normally to get the CVT replaced at 150k 😉
Didn’t actually see how it was replaced so not very helpful thanks for showing us the location I guess
CVTs get such a bad name. Since they eventually fail, most people assume the time has come when something slips. You bought this one another 25K
Please STOP showing your email address. One day you will think you get a valid email but it'll be a scam and you will get caught with it.
Thanks for the advice. Keep wrenching! Kenny
It's a Nissan w/ a CVT -----> SEND IT TO THE CRUSHER !!!!
Japanese designed it for small Asian fingers. Great for proctologists but suck for big America fingers 😄
😂 keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny

Bandit towing. Not a sponsor?
It is NISSAN you cannot reach any thing because of their bad engineers designer they made every thing un reachable
How many Trans Ams does the toeing guy own? lol
