Thank you for the "hackle stacker" tutorial! Best one I've ever seen! Filming from directly above the fly, and using the red colored material for the post, really made it easy to follow and understand your technique!
Really love the Skill Builders series. Been tying for 5 decades and I'm learning a ton about techniques I've not used before....or even heard of in some cases. Fly Fish Food is in a league of its own! Thanks Guys!
I love these skill builder vids and especially this one (so far). I’ve been trying to tie a mother shucker for the past three days and figured maybe I should just buy some. I may do just that so I don’t miss the midge season, but this gives me a much needed boost of encouragement!
All useful skills. I look forward to each one of these. Have done any skill builders with wiggle dub? I struggle getting a consistent dubbing loop with it. Thank you!
I love these skillbuilder videos! Request for a future skillbuilder, please: how to tie feather slip wings (both on a dry like a no hackle and a traditional wet fly like from Bergman’s book “trout”). I can never get the feather slips to cooperate, and I’ve been tying for 25 or more years. I don’t need married wings for Atlantic salmon flies, just the smaller slip wings for trout flies please.
Nice series. Its been a while since I did much tying but I’m sure to be restarting this year (retirement…yay!). Btw, you meant convex (outward flex) not concave (inward flex).
Would ya do one on parachute posts? how to make em last, how to make em look good and function well and not make one want to pull their hair out wrapping them up. Thank you!
I’m really enjoying the hackle stacker technique with the spandex materials. Devin Olsens front end loader tutorial skips the second tie down for the hackle. Do you think it matters much?

Thanks!
Love SB series. Great idea and very helpful tips. Tying for 10 years and didn’t know what a hackle stack was - gonna use it! Thanks Cheech
Helpful and like Orvis’s Flagler ones the shortness is appropriate and appreciated.
That is pretty slick to to use that span flex for hackle stackers.
YOU OWE ME A SAMMICH!!! 😂😂
Good tutorial, thanks. Tight lines🐜🪲🦟!!!!

All good tips, but the hackle stacker tip was AWESOME. Wow does that make it so much easier.
The hackle stacker technique is great. I always struggle with that.
It’s a fun one to play with.
Brilliant idea with the resin and stick on eyes I’ve never seen this before ? Also cheech always makes everything look so easy lol
Cheers
Great series ! Keep up the good work Guys.
Great tips! I need to find patterns for stacked hackle. That was a cool tip.
Really enjoy your skill Builder's videos
I Really enjoy your skill builder videos, you seem to be a really cool guy and someone I would truly enjoy spending time fishing on the river with.
I’m annoying because I’ll smash your chips and eat your food. I won’t drink your beer though.
Love this series guys!
Solid Work!
These are great keep ‘em coming!!!!
This whole series so far is epic, awesome guys, and of course please come to New Zealand sometime and fish :)
Great info thank you greatly appreciated keep them coming men.
Love skill builder videos. Super helpful and changed video angels help.
Excellent instructional video
I bought the stonfo bobbin threader last month. It's so much faster to rethread bobbins.
Thanks Cheech, great stuff! Keep on keepin' on!
Awesome series. Thanks!
I love these! Thank you!
Thanks! Great helps for a newbie
Love this stuff. My old eyes would appreciate a white background though.
Good point!

Creech,
Brilliant, man! You rock.

Those are so hard. I’ll get practicing!
Very nice
Love the Skill Builders. Hackle stacker is a cool tip. Suggestion: How to keep hackle from twisting when winding up the hook shank
That one is brand specific. Also sometimes a saddle will wrap without twisting better than a cape will.
Thanks!!!
Fresh cup of coffee....new video from FFF...and -6 degrees...mmm...

Check out Fly Tying Skill Builder #4!
Thanks Cheech....do you have any links to flies tied using the hackle stacker technique?
I’m really enjoying the hackle stacker technique with the spandex materials. Devin Olsens front end loader tutorial skips the second tie down for the hackle. Do you think it matters much?
Yeah. Makes it a lot more durable IMO
😊😊
What are example flies for the hackle stackers??
Look up our fly called the mother shucker. 👍🏼👍🏼
We've seen Curtis, but Brigham is a mystery. How about introducing him in one of these videos.
HECK… NO. Ok. Maybe.
Tell me that vise is coming back???
I use about 4 different vises right now 😬😬😬
Paraloop
with the price of cree, that's a $5 hackle he stole😆
That’s why I stole his instead of using mine!
Cheech, love the vids.. But this one was way too dark!!! You need to get in tighter bro.. And slow it up like-3 Red Bulls.. just saying..
