I think one of the reasons its really good is how close it is to places you're going to want to visit. San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City are pretty close all things considered. Smaller and less well known places like Bernal and Tequisquiapan (lesser known places among foreigners that are hidden gems). QRO is a thriving city that locals complain is "getting too expensive" but its really a place people who are looking to move to Mexico, especially if you want great weather, should consider. Similar to San Miguel de Allende but less foreigners. There are lots of factories in the vicinity so there are times where there's bad air quality, apparently, although I didn't notice it when I was there.
Go wine tasting. We liked Norte B. Their wine flights are basically 6 full wine glasses! And it was delicious! Also climb the Peña de Bernal. Amazing views! After, have some pulque.
Visit Parque Querétaro 2000. It’s huge and a very nice place to exercise. Also, visit the Antea mall. And take a tour on a double decker bus. The tour is in Spanish, but you get to see the historic downtown. And visit Hercules beer garden for some craft beers.
We have stayed in QRO for 3 months, actually 5-mins away from Veggie Happy :D and loved every single moment in this city! there was another (cheaper and better for us) vegan restaurant nearby called Clorofila. Highly recommend it for lunch - they have a menu but their burgers were our absolute fav with crunchy, APPLES!!!!! there is a park as well with a huge Benito Juarez statue (Cerro de las Campanas) which is an important historical place for Mexico. Just sit down and wait for the squirrels, colourful birds, butterflies, a nice green area in the city! awww, thanks for bringing those nice memories back. HAVE FUN!!! :)
I am watching you from Queretaro, Mexico, where I have relocated, It is a beautiful, safe, and clean city in the middle of Mexico, and 3 hours from Chicago. I have a beautifully furnished apartment overlooking the entire city from my balcony and living room. My apartment includes all paid utilities and maid service. I have a driver also to shop for me. Not bad for a 79 years young retiree. USA became too expensive and deadly for me, so I called 1-800 Got Junk and had my entire two bedrooms emptied, and I did not have junk. They charge $800 per truck with 2 men, and I needed 4 and one half trucks with 10 men, and it took 6 and one half hours. I had lived there almost 24 years, and all they did was go up on everything, and only took care of the outside, except geese and dog droppings.YUCK! Please let go and let God always.
I’m crying looking at this video. I have been waiting for almost a year to do my pre-trip to Queretaro before I move permanently in May 2022. I’m leaving next week Tuesday for 5 days. Doing the same run that you guys are doing. Flying into Mexico City then taking the 3 1/2 hour bus ride. CAN’T WAIT! I am so excited. Your journey to Queretaro and video could not have come at a better time for me. Viva Mexico!
@@TravelWTravis….I actually just extended my stay. I’ll be there for 9 days instead of 5 days. I had to “fenagul” my airfare back to the U.S. Spent a little bit more but I know it will be worth it. So glad the two of you are enjoying Queretaro.

Really enjoyed your take on Queretaro! Thank you for mentioning me at the end of your video. Today is my 60th birthday, and you capped it off perfectly! Love you guys! ❤️❤️

I spent three weeks in QRO in February 2019. It never rained and was never cloudy. Made a few lifelong friends. One of my favorite places in this country. BTW: we're heading to Morelia on Saturday for ten days. ¿Have you been there yet?
Hey guys - we absolutely love your videos. We've been watching since day one. We, too, are vegan and gay - together since 1997 - married since 2016. Loved your first Queretaro video - looking forward to the second one tomorrow! :-) I began researching places to retire about 4 years ago and - on paper - had decided on Queretaro. After traveling to Mexico several times, we've decided to move to San Miguel de Allende. It's only about an hour from Queretaro, which is awesome. We just moved to Queretaro last month and it's AMAZING! We are loving it here so much. We thought it might be nice and a good first step into our journey into Mexico, but we could seriously see ourselves settling here forever. So glad to see you liked it! Great job you guys. I love your videos. You really capture the easy-going charm of the city. Exactly what I'm looking for when I move to Mexico. If you guys decide to put together a travel guide, I would totally support that.
You guys are killing me lol. We keep missing each other. I just spent the month of Oct in QRO. If you're in the touristy central area of QRO or a gated community or up in the Juriquilla area fine. Great for a vacation. However, living outside those areas might be a different experience if you don't have a car. There are also some areas to not be in and I, unfortunately, found one. The one problem with Airbnb is that the accommodations may be lovely but you do not get the exact location until you book and doing google street view may be from years ago which I just discovered.
haha oh no! We're like trains passing in the night, apparently! And that's a bummer you didn't have a great place it sounds like - we're glad we lucked out with this place in Centro!

Great job you guys. I love your videos. You really capture the easy-going charm of the city. Exactly what I'm looking for when I move to Mexico. If you guys decide to put together a travel guide, I would totally support that.
Thanks so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Making me hungry with all that vegan goodness 😮💨
@@TravelWTravis yes centro is good. My Airbnb was fabulous but the neighborhood was dangerous. We'll get that coffee yet lol
Would you mind sharing the neighborhood of your Airbnb?

Haha of COURSE we love that show!
Loved your video. I am from Queretaro and like you said it’s a hidden gem. Most people don’t know about it. Can’t wait to go back..
Your town is so beautiful!
omg I love Queretaro. I one of the places we are considering moving!!! Have you been to Morelia?
We haven’t been to Morelia yet but it’s on our list!
Nice vlog, guys! Enjoyed it
Thanks!!
You’ll need corduroys in Ajijic 😐
Looks great. I will have to research the year round weather. Not sure I could hang in Merida all year round while it is hot and humid, I just spent 6 months in Tennessee and about melted. This place might be a good goal for me (someday!) Good travels, men!
The weather here is supposedly great year round! Definitely no melting here!
We have the 4 seasons
The rainy season has become quit short
Winter is cold in jan and feb
Highest temps march - june before the rain
Dry heat max 38 in extreme 40
I’m so jealous that David can sleep anywhere!❤️
Haha me too!
because they didn't have to ??
We're going there soon. Looks amazing. Thanks for the videos.
Have the best time!
You guys are amazing❤️
Very enjoyable video, guys. My husband and I had planned a trip to Queretaro and San Miguel in July 2020, and then… well, you know. This made me want to rebook for a summer trip and check out all the places you visited. I’m a former vegan who slides back into it now and then so I really enjoy all your food tips. Also, I like how the two of you keep finishing each other’s sentences!
Sorry not giving up meat.
Weather is the best here, come here for the hot summer. Btw, saw you in the centro. Enjoy Queretaro!
Haha next time come say hi!
Tikua Sur Este in el Centro has excellent food! We love Queretaro! You guys should collaborate with Tangerine Travels and cross-promote your channels!
Hi guys.
What you guys think about the public transportation in Mexico..
We love the inter-city bus system, and have loved the convenient bus/metro/bike options in the bigger cities!
Thank you for your answer..
God bless you guys..
Going next week. Yay, thanks for the great video.
Have the best time!!
Use ETN Bus Linie, it's the best
I Love your videos! Thank you for speaking at such a lovely pace, it makes me appreciate everything even more. I love Mexico. I suggest checking out Morelia Michoacán, and the famous festival of Guanajuato ( also the amazing 2 story opera house with the glass floor).
Love the video (story) and editing! I hope my Mexico vlogs get this good one day!!
Haha your videos are great - we just subscribed!
@@TravelWTravis thank you so much! I subscribed earlier and am happy to be watching y'all's journey!

Another sign of serious growth is a small carry on and no bags to check! Don’t see no cords happening there! Looks like a charming city.
I really enjoyed this video the owner of the vegan restaurant spoiled you guys and he’s a good guy too, I was sad when the video ended haha. 🙏🏽❤️
