The biggest difference in the physics of the two games is collision between tanks, and tanks and environment. In WoT you can push/flip each other and the physics behave like you would expect for the most part, in WT if you drive into an enemy or ally both tanks start shaking or bugging each other, also jumping from an elevated position like a rock or a hill also feels so buggy in WT. This is ofc due to the game engine being made for planes only in the first place, but after this many years it should of been fixed.

it's not fixed, if you ram at enemy tank at high enough speed chanxe you still get stuck and start violently vibrating, but yeah it's less common and frequent now

fun fact: the recoil physics in wt is not a pre-made animation, is actually made calculating the weight and force of recoil of the veichle, if you make a user model and lower the weight of the tank it will probaly flip due to light weight and strong recoil

The tank physics in Warthunder are a lot better the world of tanks, but i do like the environment physics in would of tanks, I play Warthunder and would love to see these environmental physics in the game.
The environmental physics in wot are so good, the way that destroyed obstacles retain their collision mesh for a short time after destruction is great, it's super awesome to run over a stone wall or pallet of bricks and see the individual pieces fall onto your tank and move with it, even go flying off when you make a sudden turn or movement, you can also get fence pieces to stick onto your barrel if you stick the barrel through the slats
For whatever reason, the jeep in the test drive doesn’t have as good of physics as the cars in an actual battle, I hit a car in an actual battle and it actually dented the car where I hit it, and shoved it out of the way! Still impressed with WT’s realism
In WoT hit craters are also in 3D, but are turned into 2D when you're using the sniper mode (in sniper mode many things turn into simplyfied versions, like tracks) Some trucks behave like static props when colided witt and just turn into a destroyed model, and some fall apart into pieces

This year we will have WoT 2.0 in September, let's see how the games will compare then. And I'm glad Both WoT an WT use their own in-house engines instead of moving to Unreal 5 slop crap.

not really, suspensions in WT just do not do that well similar to how vehicles jitter upon collision with other vehicles. Tracks in WoT flow more naturally on a suspension system.

@jingh4186 been in wot since 2012 i prefer wot classic somewhere between 2013 and 2014. For wt i think theres a lot needed to be done. And maybe the devs are aware of it i just hope they gonna fix it in the future.. especially tank collision

and in WOT you can get fall damage you can get destroyed if the place was too high and in WT not at any height

6:35 this is not a 2d texture, it is a tessellation texture. it is disabled in sniper mode so as not to make aiming difficult

The reason why the wheel does not move in the game is that it is moxibustion in the air, and the trajectory and the wheel do not touch.
