AMX is truly insane right now. Every top player I've seen is averaging 5k+ DPG with it. The weirdest thing is that it doesn't even feel overpowered. The armor is filled with weakpoints everywhere... But the tank just prints damage like it's nothing. Having SConq gun reliability on a 560 alpha gun, while still being a beefy, mobile platform, is just insanely consistent.
Armor is filled with weakspots but overall the armor is still good, you still have to aim on that tank and if you miss the weakspot you aint gonna pen. Playing this tank feels like playing arcade mode, when the only thing that stops you from dealing 20k dmg is the amount of ammo. Playing this tank feels like flying Me262 against prop bombers during ww2, having good games in this doesnt even make you happy, players who had 4k on other tanks now have 5k on this :) 268v4 when introduced was nothing compared to this tank and it has to be nerfed, like e5/268/pta in the past. Otherwise good players will make games so extremely fast on randoms it wont be playable at all.

Does it even matter when you dont even have time to aim on this tank bcs it can peek do fast thanks to the gunhandling? I dont even know, more am I surprised how daki agrees with all the buffs even though they are completely dumb and allowing all the unicums to completely fuck the randoms.
I think one of the key reasons is that the average player can't reliably penetrate this tank.
No, its not insane, its very comfortable and has everything it needs to be consistent.
Armor layout is great vs standard ammo, but sucks vs gold - cupolas, turret front armor, lower plate and shoulders (when its not head on) is easy pen.

The armour values are still the same which is great, doesn’t completely overpower because - as you said - it has weakspots. One of the best buffs made on a tank for a long time.
the current E5 also is very well balanced, it has significant and usable strong points while also being not too hard to counter.

I'd say the E5 needs a buff to the tumor. It's TOO easy to punish that tank and it has virtually no way to defend it other than erratic movement.

Every single tank needs to be based upon the AMX M4 54. No matter where you look at it, there's a weak spot to exploit. It's a tank that has weaknesses everywhere you look at it... but you have to try. WG needs to go back to the drawing board and make all tanks similar to the AMX 54.
I like that, but they should revert the armor pen indicator to how it was before- it should be up to people to KNOW weak spots, not for them to just figure it out by moving their mouse around until they see green.

The armor pen indicator is trash if you can't hit squat. I have fired at places that are green all day and ricochet and bounce like a mother fricker while the opposing tank Swiss cheeses my tank shooting a pixel weak spot endlessly

the fact this tank is so tall (looks down at the enemy's armor), and fires AP with that goated normalization, gives it a lot more effective pen than what the numbers suggest

If you compare the AMX with Object 907 on tanks gg, they have identical gun handling parameters bar aimtime and overall accuracy. 907 has slightly better aimtime, but AMX has better overall accuracy.
Keep in mind that the speed of the tank negatively affects gun handling, and accuracy positively affects gun handling. A good example is Leo, it has shit gun handling values but due to the insane accuracy it still has really good gun handling, but not when it's going full speed because it's so fast.
Basically the AMX has way better gun handling than 907, though it is kind of a weird comparison

I've always loved this tank, I preferred the smaller gun but the M4 54 is one of the only tanks in the game that I think really LOOKS beefy and cool, I love how the tank looks, same with the 51. Sick to see the tank back in action :)

LOL! I've been having the same thing but with T32 and M103, i've been getting 5k WN8 consistently after the update with both tanks, but they still feel so balanced unlike the Vipera!

It was a well needed buff now the tank is on its well deserved position. Only one thing buggering my mind tho. They said they are going to rasp the tier 9's performance but they just lowered its turning degrees by 1 or 2 and still buffed its dispersions xD
The gun reminds me of the gun on the old object 263. I really really miss that 550 alpha every 8.5 sec.
Funniest part it had the worst premium pen and still does at 296. I played back when it only had 280 and still liked the tank. It would just be unfair when paired up against most other heavies

I feel like this is how its supposed to be, tank has a good gun and has weakspots but a good player can make the tank work so well that the minuses dont really affect it that much but only if u know how to play
Im terrible playing hts....but as long as i know where to go..even i do well...my son can easily get 8000 combined...with the big gun you can go from 1000 half way through a game to jump up to 5000 damage before you know it...love it. Its getting focused now though...but its big enough to take care of itself. And yes...i rammed a grille for 1000 with controlled impact skill...2 shots ..first 600...then ram...then rest of hp second shot....I think i have rammed 3 tanks in one battle and only a smidgen of hp lost....amazing.....now a huge stepup over the tier 9 instead of one backwards. Thanks for your explanations in battle.

I loved this tank before the buff so I imagin its an absolute joy now.
I put about 30 battles on my AMX pre-buff over the course of a year. Yesterday I put on 15 lol.

ALSO it's a big boy and pretty quick, so you can ram, plus it's pretty. Pretty, mobile heavy which can ram with nice gun and good gun depression; what more could you ask for?

After watching these videos about the buffed m4 54, I honestly think that the Is-7 needs buff on the gun, because that is a piece of shit compare to m4 54's gun. The hull is basically the same shit, the only advantage on the Is-7 side is the hidden cupolas, but if you are taller, (like the m4 54) you can easily pen them. The m4 54 has almost the same pen, way better alfa, better reload time, and overall better gun handling. No one cares, but i really liked the Is-7, but now just an outdated tank, and i barely can enjoy it, because everything else just overcome on it. Love your videos Daki.
Dont worry, wg will never leave is7 in the dust, I think Is7 has to be one of the most frequently buffed tanks
Is 7 has mobility, and especially top speed. And armor way more batter than this.
@@adammolnar6129 Ez netto baromság, legfeljebb lejtős szakaszon jön ki az Is-7 top speed-je, gyorsulása semmivel sem jobb mint az amx-nek, ráadásul az amx jobban fordul, vagyis mobilisabb mint az Is-7. Az amx-nek erősebb az alsó lemeze, és mindkettőnek megvan a "váll" gyenge pontja. Amit már korábban is írtam, egyedül a cupola ami hadicap az amx-nek, de balancolja a nagyobb alfa, jobb töltési idő, és jobb gun karakter. Nem véletlenül nincs 5k dpg-je senkinek kb Is-7-tel.
@@Alexw124 annyiban azért pontosítsunk, hogy egy iset szemből ha a haslemeze rejtve van nem ütsz be. Sehogy. Az amxnek meg ott a 2 hatalmas 2 kupola, a toronygyűrű a lövegpajzs alatt 300körül már megy is befelé, e3 gold most nem tudom mennyi, de az meg a lövegpajzsot is beviszi. Sőtt a felső lemez is golddal gond nélkül bemegy. Egy is7 ezzel szemben hull downban csak egy jg e 100 gold szorogat néha meg. A vállban azért a standard lőszert azért fel fel fogja az is7 míg ha ezzel akarsz sideolni instant belőhető ammorackre az a kis lemez. Lényeg a lényeg sokkal sokkal megbízhatóbb a páncélja. Az oldaláról meg ne is beszéljük. A mozgékonyság egál ez igaz, de ha hosszabb etapot kell menni kijön az a top speed mivel a 40 felé elég könnyen felmegy azért. És ennek fejében még ráadásul fele olyan magas. Talán valóban kellhet neki egy kicsi buff, de nem olyan rossz az. Meg végre nem ruszki meta🤣
Tier 10, 9, and 7 are actually fun to play, now that the tier 7 got buffed aswell it is way better in frontline
And the tier 8 is the biggest pile of trash in the game. I spended a lot of credits equiping, some directives, some books to train creew, free xp to not play stock and… I selled it less than one week later. I loved tier 7

I couldn't hit anything with this tank until I swapped the hardening for vents. Then everything changed!
Man... I kinda love playing crap lines so I decided to go through pain and suffering of having to play amx 65t to get this tank. Now they buffed it to the stars. Whichever crap line I start (or line that's not meta at that point) it soon changes. Did Obj.430 line while it was t10 (before 430U), did 183b before badger, did 215b before super conq, and ofc, did this line. So... If you guys want some tank to be improved, I guess I should farm it and then they will change it xD

Every streamer said this tank is not worth to grind before buff. hell, every streamer now plays it and says this tank is now a enjoyable powerhouse. I grinded it now in less than 2 days and i enjoy this tank too

It's fun to play now because the gun is great but its not OP though, the armour is still weak and it's huge so people find angles on you all the time, especially with the huge turret and weak sides. Like seriously its an absurdly big tank. GG WG for the buffs, makes the tank fun, fairly unique, but not some OP idiot proof monster.
idk imo its too much calling this armor weak, for competent player I guess its not hard to pen this, but versus average wot enjoyer armor is pretty good which is kinda what matters
It's so fuckin busted. It shits on the sconq imo. The speed, the high alpha, accuracy, everything. I was watching skill play it yesterday and he was hitting every snapshot from across the map.

S.Conq is still way better in positional fighting and will eat this alive if it tries to fight it.
@@durachoks Exactly, AMX armour is really bad, people pen it straight through the turret front with prem rounds, you have the cupolas, you have the shoulders so can't sidescrape, you have the lower plate and weak sides. Plus you have huge flat sides on the turret and hull which means people get angles on you all the time and it's hard to hide it behind cover. Plus it only gets -8 gun depression which is awkward on such a huge tank, a hull down Super Conq will just farm this.
This tank has excellent tools for very good and aware players, but most average players still won't get it to work and you can't just push right forward and bully people because your armour compared to most other heavies is trash, you'll be aiming for pixel weakspots and they have giant ones.
I'd say this is similar to the E5, if you know what you are doing it can be really powerful but most players will struggle.
