@@raptango_na6199 A heavy is basically a slower, more armored medium tank that often has worse gun handling (bigger gun). They can be used in very similar situations
weird how dificult it is for people to understand it is literally a T29/T34 with a 155mm gun
i wish the hull armor was just a tad stronger to give us something to work with other than hull down
especially since T-30 literally WAS a top tier heavy tank back in the days
"69.42% of players play this tank the wrong way", on CERTAIN MAPS....If you can play hull down, with team support, and they don't just run away from your slow ass tank and leave you to be over run with the long reload, Then there is timing to switch from TD mode to heavy duties....and that applies to all TD's. In general playing a TD is not a licence to always sit in the back 40

Lakeville encounter is mentally challenging for some players: Good players go valley because of muscle memory, bad players go valley because…. bad players lol. Always contest city and cap, not valley. You can always rotate back for enemies pushing valley but I lost too many times just being capped out because 10 guys bouncing eachothers faces there 😁

I always go to the city, unless I'm driving a TD that's set up for sniping, but only has tin foil for armor.
T29 / T34 / T30 have the same "heavy" playstyle described, same chassis = same role. I loved it that T30 ! Also quite same thing with T110E4
I go with Turbo, Improved Hardening and rammer and just play it as an in their face heavy, the gun trolled me too much but If I stick the barrel against the enemy tank before firing its ok 🤣
T30 is literally a heavy tank. It's just the classification is wrong in game. Sadly most players are too clueless to look past that

T30 was my easiest 2 mark lol took me 59 games to 2 mark it. Love the tank its my favorite American Derp Tank to play. I never sniped in it unless our team was shitcamping (Cuz NA server)

The T30 was originally a Tier X Heavy in the American Tech tree , after an update years ago it was changed to a Tier IX TD .

Im playing t30 as a heavy/medium. In 40 battles im at a score of 2.8 k avarage damage which Is pretty decent especially for me
I always played T30 as a heavy, I just like it more that way, instead of sniping.
Not every TD is meant to snipe - exactly, but I am worried, that some players never gonna understand that. I am not even gonna count, how often I saw dude camping with T95 or T110E3, being most armoured tank in a game, sniping from distance in a bush...
Easy to say it's not a sniper but in tier x games it's a victim to any half decent tank .

I played T30 for more than 300 games , but it just didn't work that good for me I bought it and sold it twice, got so frustrated haha . I guess the field mod's and the proper equipment is the game changer here, as I didn't use any field mod's and and didn't use the aiming circle piece , and of course I didn't go with full prem' ammo , maybe I'll give it another shot after watching this video but again not with full prem ammo can't afford it lol . i 3 mark AT 100% my T30 with only 5 golds shells ... and im just a casual payer with no clan...
There's deffo an interesting lesson in here on how to play high alpha, low (relative) dpm tanks.
Not sure about now since I haven't played in some years... but back in the day the T30 had much better turret armor than the E4. It was actually a better vehicle against tier 10s than the E4 was.
I always played it as a slow heavy since its accuracy was pretty bad.

Great video showing that tanks don't necessarily need to be played as their class would indicate. Tank class doesn't mean you are assigned to a specific task. The Bourrasque for example, at least in my opinion, is very flexible as a medium. If used right, it can take the role of a light tank if the situation allows.

I have bought and sold the T30 2 or 3 times now because I never got the gun to work, even when playing it aggressively and constantly facing T10
Now that I have almost finished all the tech trees I might go back and buy it again just to try it out :)

Yeah I don't get why people snipe in the back with this tank. I 3 marked it BY ACCIDENT because I played it like a hulldown heavy and I'm not even good, my winrate is like 50% and my ingame score is 6000.

your team was behind on the total HP "pool" till that shot at 7:00.....
and then your team woke up and realized they outnumbered them by 2X (even if most of your team is 1 shots)

10/6 Ful gold ammo :( Against Tier VIII tanks, the basic ammunition is very good, not the premium ammunition! Premium ammunition should be limited to only 10 in a tank!
Anyone playing the game and believing that tank icons mean anything is an idi*t.
Any tanks job is to end other tanks in order to either win or clear out enough to successfully cap. THE ONLY part that decides how to play a tank isn´t the icon it comes with but with the statistics it brings along. Light tanks don´t go brawl with heavies, not cause of their icons but cause of their statistics not holding up to that.
Heavily armored tds don´t sit in bushes and wait for grass to grow as they can easily work frontline duty cause of the stats their tank has to offer.
But that is a level of understanding that requires an iq above 50, which a lot don´t have.
The T30 is basically the T34 but with a bigger gun and is one tier higher and what is the T34 ?? Yeah a heavy (a shitty heavy but still a heavy) so I don't understand why people are still trying to pixel snipe with 750alpha dmg gun at the fucking red line when they can just have a great time playing stupid hulldown meta. Triangle players are something out of thsi world...
Ps: I know T30 turret armor is becoming an issue with the 340 heat which can straight pen most of the turret but still...

I like you too much but you voice modulation bass is quite dificult to understand. If you put treble a bit higher on your voice would be much better to understand what your'e saying.

I suggest you check out the ST-II, it's a bit slow but has reliable armour, -8 degrees of gun elevation and effectively is 2 guns against 1. It also was my first t10 tank so i would like to hear what you think about it.

I don't know... my T30's gun used to work like at the beginning of your first battle, like it was cursed even thought i have a very good crew. Maybe I was lucking some patience but for sure I was not trying to camp in T30, that was obvious from he very beginning. Maybe I'll give a chance again. GG!!!

You need to miss 2-3 important shots early to warm it up. Than it works fine ;)

T30 is classified as a Assault TD not a sniper, so play it as a Assault TD and not as a sniper
couple minutes ago i maked it for the first time! god i love T30. to be honest this line is worth grinding until you research T30 fully..
Yeah a lot of people are idiots that don't realize the difference between a Minotauro and Grille 15, Obj 430U and Leo 1, AMX 50B and a Maus.... WG puts tank roles into the game and still lots of players are struggling with that, something that i will never understand. It's not that hard to spot those differences in playstyle of tanks in the same class, honestly......

its a weird tank because you can't really play it as a pure heavy either, It has a hybrid play style. I find you really have to take your time with shots and the gun will treat you ok. Your build is exactly the build I use through many frustrating rounds of trial and error. As soon as I found this build, it just seemed to synergize with this tank.

It's one of my favorite tanks BUT The gun isnt mean for sniping for me, too slow to go to the position and It has strong turret aswell. Very versatile Tank so might aswell use it like Heavy Tank unless if i dont have support to push so I'll snipe from back instead... Similar playstyle with E4 aswell but with T30 I can trust the armor more than E4.
