As Katie knows I work at cotton on being plus size also working in a flagship store I have the opportunity to try on the plus size range and I’m always disappointed, I was so excited to see a change come in march to the range and I’m still disappointed and have finally after 3 years of working there I’m wanting to leave because they don’t really care about the plus range that much! And I really don’t want to support a company that doesn’t get with the times.
Would love to see a comparison with what’s in the ‘new in’ section for more plus size orientated stores like You & All etc in terms of actually being fashionable
Katie, I LOVE your channel and I live close by you at Redcliffe. Even though I’m no longer plus size I 100% agree with you that online shopping sucks! Many, if not all, online sites have a ‘one measurement fits all’ concept where the size chart does not consider the differences in the clothing items they sell. I NEVER trust the size charts. EVER. Please know this happens at ALL size points. I understand it would be very hard - and expensive - for brands to account for all sizes and body shapes for each item they sell, but as you say returning items purchased online is difficult and/or time consuming, so in-store purchasing wins every time. Again, love your channel, keep up the good work 😘
When I’m online shopping for plus size/curve section….I’d like to see the clothes on that body type because I can’t imagine it on my own body type which makes me not want to buy the item because I feel like oh my hips don’t look like that it won’t sit like that on me ect….it’s a small detail but it does make a huge difference when your online shopping for sure.
Holy Dooley I had the same thought when I was on SHEIN and looking in the smaller sizes category i clicked on something I loved it only went up to a “large .. which was a size 10” they had so much cute things in the smaller sizes but as soon as I looked in plus size category the clothes was boring and just not a vibe.. I was disappointed and kinda made too feel like as a plus size person why can’t we have cute things or things a smaller person would wear. It kind of upset me that we aren’t included with all the new trendy clothes , it felt like there was something wrong with me or that I “need too lose weight “ too wear these cute clothes….. I wear clothes between size 18-20, I loved your video and that I’m not the only person thinking that brands need to think about us as well 🙂
I hate online shopping for clothes. I have the same issue the models are always size 12 or smaller for plus size clothes and I like to see what I am spending my money on. The only clothing item I will purchase online now are tshirts
Im intrested to see if cotton on fits even after you upsize because about 3 years ago I ordered size 18 jeans from cotton on and it was SO small...like a 14...and it had a Supré lable... so hopefully things have changed!
Hi Katie, in your recent video you mention faux the label, (is that the right spelling) and what was the name of the other company that you suggested we check out for plus size women.
Hi Katie! We understand these issues and aim to bring real Size Inclusivity in the fashion industry. We have 2000+ styles that are available for Women of All Body Types, Sizes, and Heights. Every piece at SeamsFriendly is made-to-order, with the measurements shared by you. We also have a Style Customisation option, if you prefer a different neckline, sleeve length or garment length. We'd love for you to check us out 🌱
I used to buy plus size clothing online at Autograph. Their return process in store takes so long. I ordered so many clothes but didn’t like the fabric.
If they don’t stock in store they should give free returns. I am mid size and struggle to find sizes bigger than 12 most times in cotton on etc. always 6,8,10.
I don't understand why there are so many cotton on's, big was, Target etc etc with plus size options but the vast majority is either not in stock or only online.
Cotton on is horrible I’m a mid to plus sized women I hate that they don’t even have it in store I recently saw some awesome cargo pants in store they literally went to 14 tired online and failed ended up buying the Kmart ones
It's so infuriating to shop online then have to hope what you purchased fits and not have to go through the process of returning clothing cotton on stores are huge I don't understand why they can't the plus range instore or store doesn't do they not want plus size people their stores idk
As a plus size person I was really excited to see this video until all you did was literally complain the entire time. Also, as a plus size person Ive come to accept things as they are, as we all should there's no point in stressing and complaining about these things. I love your videos but this one was just a no for me.
This is my experience when shopping online as well as many others. Like I mentioned at the start of the video I wanted people to feel validated in their experiences when shopping online and the frustrations that come with that. I appreciate your view on accepting and moving on but if we don’t vocalise on content that could be seen by these brands, then can we ever expect change to happen?
Thank you 🙏 finally someone calling it out! It’s so frustrating that we can’t get the pretty, trendy stuff the is easily accessible to everyone else 😩
As a tall girl, I love that they are long . it's easier to take something up than magic length out of nowhere!
Absolutely loved this. So relatable! Would love to see more of these online shop and try on's with other brands🥰
Totally! I have another one planned 💗
Yes, as someone who likes the low rise look but also has a mum pouch and c section scar.... yesssssssss!

I hear you completely. More in store please

Love this idea 💡 comparing to like Zara or something?
Yeah me to
This is exactly what I needed to relax thanx katie
Glad you enjoyed it! 🫶🏻

Love your channel Katie, I learn so much. Sizes are all so different which makes it very frustrating. Have a lovely weekend 💜😀
Totally! Thank you ☺️
You should definitely check out cider cause they have amazing options for plus size models 🤩 i bought some from them and I'm OBSESSEDDD
I looked into them but tbh they seem exy for being a shein competitor

You should do a fayt the label shop and try on!

Shein would be a great example of how messed up the size chart and ranges are

Upsizing definitely was too big in the linen pants, I try them on at the end 💗
@@KatieFrances Just got there! They actually look so good on you despite them being too big!

Fayt the label and Verbose

Yes yes yes 👏🏻
I'm not plus size but omg this must be so frustrating!!!! I struggle to find nice clothes as it is I can't imagine with these extra limitations
It’s impossible! Especially for last minute essentials like travelling or accidental clothing problems, we can’t just go in store and buy.
Actually now that I think of it Witchery is to a size 20 but no plus Size
I enjoyed that video thanks. Your pants might shrink up a bit when you wash and dry them. N
Thanks for the tip! I will try this before hemming

They claim it’s due to no room to store it but I call bs
@Katie Frances I totally agree with you. It's really depressing.

They say it’s a space issue but I don’t buy it. There is room for a collection or teo
