@@carriec5807 thank you and thanks to all who have prayed for me 😭. In my head (so it’s not real) I struggle with so much fear and anxiety and ocd and I’m scared that I made some terrible evil bindings. 24 years ago, I was reading Philip Yancey's book "The Bible That Jesus Read". I was in the chapter on Job in the weeks preceding my barely, 18 year old first born son, David's suicide. I earnestly believe that GOD in His Great previenient grace was preparing me with the example of Job. I didn't grasp that at the time, but in the following years as I was processing, I could see God was there. This earthly life is sooooo... temporaral. We ALL die the first death. This fallen world is our fault. Eternal life is the only important perspective. When you go through such horrible sufferings, you must choose whether to trust The Creator, GOD, who provided His only perfect Son, Jesus, for our redemption and salvation, OR, Satan, the deceiver, destroyer and lover of chaos. Having lost a beloved son who loved God, I understood the cost to GOD/JESUS of my salvation. It's that simple. We must decide who we will trust. If you don't choose to trust GOD, you choose Satan. There is NOTHING you can trust about Satan! You don't have to be able to understand or explain GOD. HE's too great for us to be able to grasp. GOD is GOD, I am not! Job seemed to grasp that.
I know this is going to sound trite and too simple for such a serious and painful issue…but I always go back to Proverbs 3 where it says ….”trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” I catch myself often saying “God, I don’t understand why you allow this or God help me to understand why this happened” Not understanding from a human standpoint doesn’t solve the problem of pain and suffering but it forces you to come face to face with your faith. Can you trust a God that you cannot fully understand? I hope this encourages someone who like me really struggles with the pain and suffering not only in your own life but also in the world. God is close to the broken hearted and I believe He uses pain and suffering to sometimes cause people to call out to Him. Thanks Bible Project for your videos. They are amazing.
What you said was very beautiful, but I don’t believe that God uses suffering to have people call out to Him, because God never forces us to do anything. I believe that He has us go through trials and tribulations to forge us, teach us, strengthen us, and test our faith. One reason why I believe this is because of this verse I’ve read in the New Testament: James 1:2-4 KJV “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that’s you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” In the NIV version, temptations is changed to trials. This makes me believe that when we fall into dark times, no matter what it is, that the reason God has allowed you to go through that pain and suffering, is so that we can learn to seek Him through all problems, learn to trust in Him, and so that He can work in us to shape us and continue to transform us, and perfect us, or as the NIV version says, mature us.
But God has given us free will, so, I don’t think He’s forcing us and trying to get us to call out to Him or seek Him; we still have the choice to choose. If we are willing to allow Him to do that work and trust in Him, we allow Him to work in us through that suffering. No matter what, we still have that decision to make and He has given it to us, even when He’s allowing us to go through suffering, He still gives us that free will. Hope this helps.🤗🫶🏽
What I also learned from the story of Job is that, sometimes people suffer more from other people's ignorant judgement, rather than suffering from the actual pain.
As I’ve moved into more senior leadership positions over my career, I’ve observed transferrable stories on an endless cycle of repeat. When I reflect back to my roles on the front lines, it always seemed so obvious what “should” be done. As I moved up, I realized how much more complex and nuanced every situation was. In many situations a decision is just in one person’s eyes and unjust in another’s. Add to that, there are often details about the situation you either can’t share or individuals wouldn’t have the context to understand the complexity. All that to say, it’s given me such a vast appreciation for all the complexity God has to manage in order to make this space rock flying around the sun operate, let alone the rest of deep space. While that doesn’t necessarily make it easier to go through times of trial for what seems to be no reason, it’s comforting to know there is one, and one that’s being managed by a good, just, and loving God.
Thanks for the talk guys. The Book of Job became far more clearer for me. But one thing about the child lying analogy. The parents are not omnipotent or omniscient, whereas God is. The issue seems to go all the way back to why God created the tree of knowledge of good and evil and Satan, despite him knowing what both of them would eventually produce. Trusting in God seems like a convenient answer. But factoring in omniscience and omnipotence, it just seems that God is being a pure bully and gratifying his own agenda and interests at the expense of humanity, with the guise love. I don’t know if many Christians ever think this way. It may even seem blasphemous. But many a times, during talks like these it often seems to avoid these truths. And I am continually struggling in my faith due to this.
Brothers and sisters please pray for my brother Wendell who is autistic and going through a manic episode today. The enemies are tormenting and causing him to suffer so much tonight. Please pray for him to get delivered from the hands of the enemy into Yahuah’s hands. Thank you. 🙏🏿

I always enjoyed listened to BibleProject years ago when leading youth groups, men's groups or to just deepen my own understanding of the Bible. Now I am (again enjoying) listening during a challenging time in my life... not just to understand the Bible; but to learn that trusting in God means not always understanding why or how we (believers or non-believers) suffer. I pray that Jesus blesses anyone reading this, walks alongside you and restores the Joy of the Lord- that is also what I am believing for in Jesus' name for myself and my family. Bless you Jon & Tim; until we get to eternity; you will never know how much of an impact the way you share the gospel has had on the lives of millions.

I feel that sometimes when we go through losing a job or something bad, that maybe God has something better for you or maybe that's not where you should be..He has a plan for you and sometimes we have to walk through thorns to pick the rose..
I... this is so timely for me and my circumstances. God has moved my life around and removed what was a precious thing from my life. He said I wasn't in the wrong, He said He has better for me. But, I do go through the circles of "but why God"? I did the right things, it didn't work out, blame God, then come to accept His goodness with His sovereignty. Then start over. But, God is operating with a higher level of wisdom that I don't understand, at least for now, and maybe I won't ever understand why. So, as much as it really sucks to be where I'm at sometimes, I guess it's still important to believe that, even when things are rough, God is good, doing what's right is good, and I'm not in the wrong (in this particular circumstance).
I can relate. Don't always understand but after the past year, realize I don't need the answer. If I was to ask God, I wouldn't understand his direct wisdom as we are not on the same level; like man trying to explain the universe to an ant. Heed these words, we don't have to know why. Perhaps, it is to increase our faith and trust in Him. When I look to this as my answer, it does bring me peace. Blessing to you, my friend.
I very recently lost the love of my life, and feel like Job. I'm questioning GOD and why he would allow this. I'm worried GOD didn't love him or me. I'm suffering even though I hide it well. Please pray
God is with you my Beloved Sister in Christ Believe and Have Faith in Him and even though it seems like everything is falling apart God is still with you and Working in you, AND HE STILL LOVES YOU AND ALWAYS WILL!!! ALWAYS. SO HAVE FAITH IN HIM AND GIVE HIM EVERYTHING YOU ARE DEALING WITH RIGHT NOW AND HE WILL HELP YOU. *”Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28* and *Psalm 55:18 “Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the LORD hears my voice.”*
The book of Job has changed my life like no other book. Of course, I was raised up in a Christian church, hearing all about the new testament the gifts of God, love and excepted it, excepting Jesus, but like most worldly people growing away from church growing away from the congregation, the assembly of the Saints. My story was searching all religions define God the real god.
I just finished the book of Job via your Bible in a year devotional on the Bible app. And I’m only 19 minutes into this video. What I’ve gathered from reading Job your Job videos is simply to trust God. “The just live by faith” not our works. Too much to type here but I feel like I’ve gained more understanding of God’s justice system, where the foundation is love and the pillars are grace, mercy. With the goal being us ending up in His image and His likeness redeemed to Himself
I am revisiting the Bible and have found your channel to be fantastic with easy to digest content that is thought-provoking and transformative. I really love the Book of Job -- enjoyed this podcast very much. Thank you, fellas.
The hard part of accepting is that Job has suffered so much as a result of this. It's not just a mind question. It's like, " I'm in pain!". Even like a Dad not bowing to a cruel government and his family suffering for it.
Hi Tim and John. Love how you put your talks together. Very professional delivery of videos. However I think that you may have missed the reason WHY Job was suffering! Satan said that Job only served him because he blessed him and that if he removed his blessing then he would curse God. As the story goes God only allows Satan to put Job to the test. We need to remember that Job did not hear the conversation in the counsel. So no wonder he didn’t understand WHY? Satan is still trying to break our integrity too. But we are faithful and prove the Devil out to be the liar. We don’t only worship God when things go ok! Even Jesus said,“ WHY have you forsaken me”. He that endures to the end will be saved. Mathew 24:13 🕊 So the bottom line is, will we keep our integrity to YHWH even in the most trialsome times to prove to Satan that we worship God no matter what. So when we keep our integrity we are proving him a liar. Job 1:Job So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.🕊
Proverbs 3:1-13 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
If God were to reward every little act of righteousness He would end up with a world where people only do good to 'get a treat'. He wants us to do good because we want to and because it's right.
Long term suffering, like being in a hot place for a million years, is bad. Short term suffering, very often, is positive. Consider the discomfort of a parent being patient with a child. The discomfort of forgiving an enemy. Without that kind of suffering, what would the world look like? If everyone lived for short term comfort, would there not be hell on earth?
Like an old Baptist minister told me 🙏🏿 Reverend Charles Noble said, Imagine all the religious leaders who are blind and God is a great beast in the midst you can imagine like an elephant. One has a hold on the trunk one a leg one an ear yet none can see the all of GOD.
Great discussion and information. I am presently reading the one year through Bible Project YouVersion. I am at 2 Samuel. These books from Genesis emphasizes the failings of humans and the mercy of God. This discussion makes me wonder if the Book of Job was recorded because it gives contrast. And thus asserting an unspoken argument of the devastating effect of sin on the world just from the first act of disobedience. Moreso, the idea that no matter how we try to be perfect, evil still impacts us all as it does this 'prefect' man Job.
The fact that there comes a time and a new Jerusalem when the King of Kings returns to rule and Satan is no long a threat gives hope not in our ability to be good but in our good God.
If there was a reward to everything & that reward were obvious, then it is impossible for human beings to be self directed in their motivations. I.e. Choosing to do good for no other reason than to do good. The motive would be tainted by looking for a personal reward. Besides, existence itself is a rather large reward in and of itself, so looking for an added bonus is a little ungrateful.
I thank you and your team for helping me to continue studying even though I can no longer read my collection of Bible study books. I probably learn more from you and my Sunday school class and small group think that I am brilliant, lol I am legally blind.
I think you'll find the book of job can be summed up as Happy the pure of heart For they shall see God In many ways job is tested and put in the Furness as a final test before he meets god. Satan is used as the means to bring that test, God points out Job to Satan, and it's Satan that claims Job is only good because he is protected and wealthy. God declares Job as being honest and his friends as being dishonest. Job 42.7 "If we take happiness from God's hand should we not take sorrow too"
wisdom is linked to perspective, Gods wise universal perspective accounts for unjust particular human suffering, which is accounted for by God and rectified, when things look bad, have faith, Gods order determines everything, from bad events come the best outcomes like with Job, God allows Satan to do evil, because it helps God deliver us the best goods/outcome, evil transgresses morality as a governing principle, so God can sanctify and redeem.
Isn't it that God in his ultimate wisdom gave us the ability to create. In our thoughts and emotions we create. In fear we create circumstances that bring about those things we fear. While we set the ball rolling. The other side is faith sets God into power. Is it true that the reason job went through these things could be where Job said ,"the very thing that I have feared has come upon me" enabling God to honor Job and his freedom to fear or faith? Divine justice
I’m trying so hard to stay afloat but I can’t. I’m not a good person and I’m the reason my marriage was ruined. I’m only 19. I have barely any friends. My family is scary. I just want to feel something that isn’t pain. God help me to find you, to trust you. I’m so close to calling it quits. I wish I didn’t want earthly things like friendship and my wife back. I wish I was okay and could praise God in times of suffering
In E2, please do address why God seems so angry at Job's friends (42:7-16), even though they seemingly defend God -- and therefore question Job. And in those verses, God says that Job spoke rightly about God, even though (as you say) Job lashed out at God multiple times. Is this a David-like situation (a man after God's own heart)? Is God saying that Job's emotional outburst was *because* he trusted God, while the friends' "defense" of God was not actually based on trust?
The Bible is CLEAR that JESUS is Good to ALL of HIS Creation even the UNsaved.. BUT LOOK at what JESUS DID for JOB in the end.. HE RESTORED Job and BLESSED him Abundantly after he was Tested..This is a type of GRACE Not afforded to those who do NOT Belong to HIM!!! JESUS is ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!!!!
It seems that if we want grace and mercy, and free will, AND a system of order and justice and punishment and reward, then we have to be okay with suffering. Job *was* treated unjustly, but God was still not unjust.
Yeah I think over the last few years @17:30 I've come to perceive life as random amoral and atheistic. Our moral code is a conjuring of biological selection, then societal nurturing seems more sensible than God/s made it into being. CoVID has been a tough time working through JOB and wrestling with my beliefs/unbelief. Having such an open ended finish in the book of Jobs' reasoning hasn't really helped me possibly made it worse, although the fact that it's acknowledged at all is reason to hope I'll have a worthwhile answer to Life and love and why.
The real God was with me all along, guiding me, teaching me, showing me his face in all religions yet they were missing the key. The creator of all things the logos Rand identity of God.
In a way it almost feels like Job is a meditation on the ID and Isaiah that the Lord's ways are not our ways the Lord's thoughts are not our thoughts. And whether or not we will trust that HE is sovereign, true, and good even when life is anything but good. I also wonder a little bit if it's not making a bit of commentary about the difference between a friend who listens and a "friend" who is no friend at all. At least the three friends JESUS brought with them only fell asleep on HIM. In a lot of ways though, I think we have become like Job's three friends when it comes to CHRIST, rather than trust and dwell with the Suffering Servant and learn what that means in relation to the righteousness of GOD we spend time yelling at each other about who gets in rather than trusting JESUS sorting because only does GOD have that kind of wisdom.
Could you kindly allow us to download your episodes. Some of these podcasts are quite long and we can only listen to them on the commute and we may not have access to the internet there.
People even good people who tries to talk about reasons for suffering so easily because they themselves have not suffered to a point that they have challenged their faith. Sometimes just talking about suffering reminds some sufferer of the events itself eg like a young mother who lost a baby. In this topic, please handle with extreme care.
I once heard that in one concentration camp during the Holocaust a group of rabbis decided to bring God to trial for the horrors inflected to the Jewish people. A rabbi was assigned to defend God and an accuser. The elders functioned as the judges. God was found guilty at the end of Friday, and after they pronounced him guilty, they all went to pray the sabbath It's a little the same, no?
If you guys could pray for me with my job. God wants me to be there but it's so challenging for me. Please pray for strength in work and hopefully breaking into becoming a comic artist. Thank you all
I will pray for you! Just remember that If God really wants you at this Job he will make it work for you. Romans 8:28 We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
I do not understand this reasoning as it seems as if G-d is not taking accountability to put Job through cruel torture just to prove his loyalty. In this point I do not see how it relates to ruling the world based on wisdom. This is not an attack to G-d I am just searching for answers.
I'm sorry if i commented without finishing the whole video but for me it's that "we should not rely on our own understanding 'cuz we dont know how this world actually works" and that alone is wisdom. Sorry for the comment.
The Creator and sustainer doesn’t have to explain why he brags about the loyalty his servant Job. God is allowed to test the loyalty and dependability of His servants’ invisible faith in action. God makes it clear that Satan may not take Job’s life. Endurance through adversity without warning is a test. Assume a Heavenly audience is watching our endurance test here on earth. At the end Job is smart enough to say there are decisions “above my pay grade”, there is peace giving those decisions to Adoni (Absolute Control).
I feel like bible speaks about how the world is suppose to be, yet it's not. For example, Jesus is good. Done no wrong. Yet he was accused of the worst crime to suffer painful and digraceful punishment.
In job 3 jobe explains what happened that which I feared is come unto me and that which way was afraid of is come upon me. He feared his sons and daughters were sending and he didn't do what he was supposed to do to take care of it he started sacrificing for them which was not available because they are responsible for themselves before God and their relationship with God. They're in his confession to God is how he was able to farewell his
Dear Tim and John; First let me thank you for your work, it's fantastic. I noticed that you categorically stated that the book "provides no answers whatsoever about why did people suffer", and I believe you are wrong here. To understand the message of Job, you have to first realized and accepted that it was God Himself who purposely and without a cause inflicted pain into Job (you said it yourself in your podcast), just as He did with Jesus at the cross (ti was God who led Him there), just like He did also to Paul when God led him to Jerusalem, just like He did to the church of Smyrna (in the book of Revelations) for no reason too and even on a similar situation with satan. Once you understand this, you realized that the book of Job is about God leading people into Martyrdom and it's not about justice or "bad things happening to good people", the book had nothing or very little to do with that. We are called to Martyrdom, but the USA's concept of christianity sells otherwise, they sell that if you become christian everything will be alright unless you mess it up, that if you tide God will make you rich, reducing everything to mere "transactions", and this is the approach of the friends of Job, religious people who cannot think "out of the box" to reach The Heart of God to understand what is God really doing here. God is doing 3 things: - He is testing Job's faith, just like He test every martyr's faith, through suffering. - He is openly exposing the religious who came to mock Job because, in the end, they thought they were better than him, just like the religious with Jesus at the cross. - And finally, He is also warning us that this Martyr model will happen to us at the end of this age, as prophesied in Revelations (particularly Revelations 13:7), so we must be acquainted with it and not seen it as something strange or wrong or injust. Our Father will test our faith and, if we overcome, we will receive abundantly after we pass the test, even if we get killed in the process, because we will resurrect. I believe, and please bear me on this, that the reason you have not yet seen this is because your approach to the book, and to the Bible in general, is too cerebral, too academic, not looking for The Heart of God, what is He speaking to us there. We need to let Him speak to us and He will answer all of our questions, really. He is alive! He will lead us, if we really want to follow Him, into places we don't want to go, to do and say thing we don't want to say, and through that He will expose our heart to Him (the test of our faith) and, finally, bring us forth into abundance. Remember: "begin with the end in mind", and the end is that we will rule creation in absolute UNITY with Him, feeling what He feels, choosing His thoughts before ours, having our "stone heart" removed, and receiving His beautiful heart instead, His Holy Spirit. God bless you guys and thank you very much again for your fantastic work! God with you.
Love the podcast, and forgive me for sounding ungrateful, but I dislike the long transition music in-between sections. I wish there was a way to skip those parts
The evil of this world is caused by humans or Satan, our Lord’s allows it because He can see the final consequences of it for our souls (victims and predators).

in Genesis, God creates everything by speaking it, like, "let there be light" and there was light. What do you think God was thinking the moment He must have spoken, "Jesus" Because prior to Jesus being born, he didn't exist, but God did. According to the Jews who received Mercy from their repentance, as per the psalms.

proverbs 3 sums up a bit of the lesson of Job

Ikr?
AND that convicts me to just shut up and let people be😂
As I’ve moved into more senior leadership positions over my career, I’ve observed transferrable stories on an endless cycle of repeat.
The parent analogy is so good! And it helps me to understand that even in those situations, God is still that our Loving Father.
Thank you. 🙏🏿
I’m autistic and have bad episodes too. It’s very hard. Much love to you and your family
“When we honor God through suffering, we are justifying God’s judgement of satan and his minions…they rebelled in Heaven when there was no suffering…” -Dr. Clay Jones
I feel like Job was content when God replied because he felt, that after all those times, God, the one he treasures the most is still there.
Binge watching these episodes. Be blessed 🙏🏾
Thanks

I am praying God will give you His peace that passes all understanding in this unbelievably hard time. I can promise you God loves you and him.
Been loving this series. Happy Easter, Brothers. Jesus has risen!
Thank you BibleProject for making this! I've been waiting on this talk!
Mathew 24:13 🕊
So the bottom line is, will we keep our integrity to YHWH even in the most trialsome times to prove to Satan that we worship God no matter what.
But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.🕊
Thank you, Marilyn for your inputs. It helped me grounded this discussion along Job's integrity/conviction. Thank you.

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
May the wisdom from heaven come to your head right now, amen

Hi Tim and John! I loved this episode!
Never let your suffering go to waste and offer it up to God.
I probably learn more from you and my Sunday school class and small group think that I am brilliant, lol
I am legally blind.
Prayers for healing wisdom protection favor discernment for self family and friends in all ways
If we lacked insight to God's conversations like Job's friends, we might share their view based on Job's situations. 😬
these vocal fries and "mmMMmmm" are driving me up the wall
help us to suffer well for You Lord may we trust You and be at peace!

I think you'll find the book of job can be summed up as
Happy the pure of heart
For they shall see God
In many ways job is tested and put in the Furness as a final test before he meets god.
Satan is used as the means to bring that test, God points out Job to Satan, and it's Satan that claims Job is only good because he is protected and wealthy.
God declares Job as being honest and his friends as being dishonest. Job 42.7
"If we take happiness from God's hand should we not take sorrow too"
wisdom is linked to perspective, Gods wise universal perspective accounts for unjust particular human suffering, which is accounted for by God and rectified, when things look bad, have faith, Gods order determines everything, from bad events come the best outcomes like with Job, God allows Satan to do evil, because it helps God deliver us the best goods/outcome, evil transgresses morality as a governing principle, so God can sanctify and redeem.
God keep on blessing you guys.
God bless you guys!
Wonderful explanations guys (and I really like the "campfire" pondering tone.
Could you do a video about the bride/wife of Jesus, the church. I just want to understand it more.
That’s why I want justice for what happened to me as a kid
They keep saying that job never tells us the answer, but it does. The answers are everywhere, but you have to dig.
That’s so true bad things can happen to good people
Sooo good I’m currently reading the book of job and this is soo helpful
the difference between being wrong when right and right when wrong is vast.
I will pray for you!! If you seek Him, you will find Him!!
God's wisdom governs the universe though it seems to be subverted
There’s gonna be justice for me too it’s coming
An example is Rahab was blessed for lying.
please can you continue with your animations
Spelling errors tried to be corrected. 😅😊
So God’s wisdom leaves/makes room for mercy which every human is the recipient of one way or the other.
I thank our havenly father for using tour lives and times God bless allof you I si despared neeed thes food. Thank you so very much...

God was found guilty at the end of Friday, and after they pronounced him guilty, they all went to pray the sabbath
It's a little the same, no?
God knew we'd cry out with the question why? ... yet he gives no answer (that I know of).
You both work very well together. 😀
God let it happen to Job so the rest of humanity could learn from the story.
Can you guys do a video about the Passover?
If you guys could pray for me with my job. God wants me to be there but it's so challenging for me. Please pray for strength in work and hopefully breaking into becoming a comic artist. Thank you all
I will pray for you! Just remember that If God really wants you at this Job he will make it work for you.
Romans 8:28
We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Do you think you can do one on James because it is a wisdom book
I do not understand this reasoning as it seems as if G-d is not taking accountability to put Job through cruel torture just to prove his loyalty. In this point I do not see how it relates to ruling the world based on wisdom. This is not an attack to G-d I am just searching for answers.
I'm sorry if i commented without finishing the whole video but for me it's that "we should not rely on our own understanding 'cuz we dont know how this world actually works" and that alone is wisdom. Sorry for the comment.
God bless you guys ! This was perfect !
At the end Job is smart enough to say there are decisions “above my pay grade”, there is peace giving those decisions to Adoni (Absolute Control).
so good yall
I feel like bible speaks about how the world is suppose to be, yet it's not.
For example, Jesus is good. Done no wrong. Yet he was accused of the worst crime to suffer painful and digraceful punishment.

It’s like you can end buddhisms belief of karma with one word Jesus they can’t explain
They're in his confession to God is how he was able to farewell his
Just out of curiosity; is lying to protect one's self still considered a sin?
Thankyou so much guys!
well done
Dear Tim and John;
First let me thank you for your work, it's fantastic.
God is doing 3 things:
- He is testing Job's faith, just like He test every martyr's faith, through suffering.
What about when Abram (maybe it was Isaac) told the lie about his wife being his sister? Didn't he disobey God?
The evil of this world is caused by humans or Satan, our Lord’s allows it because He can see the final consequences of it for our souls (victims and predators).

What was his reward? He is the son of god kings of kings prince of peace
Were not mentioning here the beginning of Job where it talks about "testing" Job. Alao in other scriptures it talks about Job suggesting to Pharoh to kill the first born of the Israelites. This current suffering being from this suggesting
What scripture does job suggested that?

in Genesis, God creates everything by speaking it, like, "let there be light" and there was light.
What do you think God was thinking the moment He must have spoken, "Jesus"
Because prior to Jesus being born, he didn't exist, but God did.

There’s always a bigger picture to things but yeah this is attempt at understanding
