Conway and the Hag were the greatest. They both had their own unique sounds. Loretta and Tammy were tops for the women. So glad I was born in 1960. I got to enjoy the greatest era of Country Music. I really miss the 1900's. Life seemed better then.
Life now is messed up with everyone it seems. Country music isn't even country anymore. People hate each other more. nothing is the same it seems Rick. :0(
The status quo of the millennium to this point has been “newer is always better”. I disagree. Ex.: Beef > Vegan Tofu Fried potatoes > Potato chips. Steel > Fiberglass. Morphine > OxyContin. (Arguably safer as well) Barbiturates > Xanax etc..(potentially less safe, exponentially more effective...so in a roundabout way, barbiturates are still safer). Coca-Cola Classic > Diet Coke Diet Coke is awful...apparently as dangerous as some pharmaceuticals & causes weight gain! Health freaks, ya know I love y’all & I’m sorry for this, but Stop It! Is your stupid body gonna care about your mind & soul when at 42 you have a heart attack, anyways? Despite all the crap ya did to stay healthy? It’s called life & it happens. Deal with it, or live it, but don’t ruin everybody else’s good time! Wait yous already have..took trans fats away & give us trans sexuals hahaha! In an all or nothing society, we simply can’t settle for nothing but the newest, but we do...and we are! @@lenaandersson7270 the only two country singers that I would mention next to the great Rolls Royce are Hank Williams Sr and Lefty Frizzell! Though I will say Conway did a fabulous cover here
I'm shocked. I had never heard this by him. I have so many albums by him. I must have somehow skipped over this. When I was a child I couldn't decide between Conway and Buck Owens. They were my dreams. Then I went to see Conway.. That did it. I have been 100% nuts over Buck Owens since!! Conway does a wonderful job on this song!!
Mickey and Conway Twitty can catch up with the many events he has missed with the kids , grands and greatgrands. Etc. RIP both of you. .She held her own . Well job done Mickey.
One of the best singers there was. Go Conway my husband loved his music when I listen to a Conway song I think of my husband Ron his favorite was Hello Darling. RIP love you
Conway, Herle Haggard, George Jones and many others had their unique sounds which I all love. I love the sound of that steel guitar, and Loretta, Tammy Connie Smith, Norma Jean as well as many others made country music sound so good to listen to.
I saw George Jones, Conway Twitty, and Merle Haggard in a concert in Jackson, MS in 1989 with my mom and sister Tammy. The three singers, my mom, and my sister Tammy are all gone now. I have one sister who is still living that did not go to the concert. I miss them all.
beautiful song one of my favorite. country songs besides Green green grass of home. I would have loved to hear Elvis sing this song to because this song is a touching meaningful song. a Elvis sung w such emotion in his voice Mark chestnut does a good version of this song but I believe Elvis could had done it better than even ole George Jones. I liked him to but it seems all our good singers are in heaven a gone. but Elvis Presley was my favorite singer he was so spiritual a powerful. nobody could match him in singing or looks the man was remarkable
I never knew Harold Jenkins (aka Conway Twitty) sang this song. He did a great rendition of George Jones. Both George & Conways versions are amazingly great. I love both of them
Good job. looks like he had someone in mind when he recorded this song who his first wife. it's good to let go a move on a not to live in the past to bad alot of people just don't wanna let go. But W God help a faith you can do do it.
What an outstanding version of a great song. It is always hard to follow King George but..............Conway Twitty does this song like he owns it. A time in the past before his hair and music went kinky.
BEST MALE COUNTRY SINGER EVER!, Conway fan forever.
