We went to Love by Britto on our July cruise and had a lovely experience. Definitely worth the €€79 charge per person. The venue and panorama, the food experience, the crockery and cutlery - all beautiful and I haven't even mentioned the cocktails yet! Superb!
You guys did a really great job of documenting this experience...this really helped us decide if this is something we'd like to experience for ourselves onboard the Sun over Thanksgiving...thank you! I know they describe this as an "experience" the way Spellbound is, but I'd say it's more just a great dinner with a fixed menu, more similar to the Chef's Table without being seated with others, a galley tour, and having an opportunity to meet the Executive Chef. The good news is they at least realized it was overpriced and is now only $79/person!
Once again, a great video! Sometimes it is worth paying extra for the experience, and when the food matches in excellence, why not? It did look very tasty, but my only thought is there was a bit of an overkill with the hearts! I did love the bread, though!
A very nice restaurant and seven course dining experience. The price seems appropriate for what you’re getting - that meal could easily be $600 + with the food, cocktails, and wine, etc. at a fine dining restaurant. Also that view is pretty priceless. We’re cruising on the Sun Princess in August and probably will book this! Thanks for the video!
I've read in the comments that they lowered the price to 79. That makes it twice as good of a deal! Have an amazing cruise, we absolutely LOVED the Sun Princess.
Thank you for the very professionally done video. A question about the drinks/wine. Was there a list to choose from, or do you just get whatever wine they want to pour? Some of the sommelier's pairings were a bit odd. I would pair the Tuna dish with the Rose and the Mushroom dish with a Pinot Noir, and the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad with a Sauvignon Blanc. Does a diner have the option of requesting their own pairings?
Yes it does. There was also a wine list. I purposly chose to follow all recommendations, in part for the video. But it was 3 wines throughout (so the prosecco, rosé and red made sense then). And if you want to enjoy both the wines, and the food it went a bit too fast for us. Especially when adding the cocktails. They should consider the cocktail an extra course basicly. The sommelier was definatly ready for adjustments.
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY It looks like it? I booked it on the app - there was lots of availability on each day, but then it only just became available in recent days.
Looks delicious! Nice touch on the engraved hearts in the silverware but for a $149 per person and no Corona’s or nacho’s I’ll pass. I’m taking a ride on the Sun in November. I afraid they will only let me in the buffet with my attire, you guys are dressed nice. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Hi Keegan! There will be a ton of venues to go to "dressed down" don't worry. But hey, I succeeded with this video if I answered the question of "worth it?" for everyone individually! You will have an amazing cruise on this ship, that's for sure!
Venue looks AMAZING!!! Not sure the dining is to my personal tastes???? The beef and lobster looked great though!!! But hers looked dry and over cooked? I wonder about the sound in the video. Seemed to sound like a kitchen or a busy diner with dishes etc. clattering???? Was this noticeable at all when in-person? Background music???
Yes, the big downside of a fixed menu... Everything was cooked to perfection. Maybe the light gave you that impression. About the sound: I had to turn up the volume a bit in editing because we all talked so quiet (didn't want to disturb others for "my video"). Other sounds were not noticeable in-person. Background music needs to be a more dedicated playlist, but I feel that's the case for all restaurants ☝️
Correct impression. It was only their third day open. Both te website ánd the app showed it as "coming soon". Only discovered it beeing open because the captain told us! So most people just didn't know about it. Or had made other plans pre cruise already.
The music towards the end of the night was not the best choice. But I must admit I didn't notice it at the time. Only heard it until I was editing the video.

Thanks for sharing! Was the €79 deal part of a dining package or is that just the new advertised price?

Yes at the new price it's a no-brainer. Happy to hear it was of some help to you 😎
Final impressions
Definitely need to be a foodie
☀️🥂☀️
Third correct impression! 😅😇

❤️ Overkill yes. But Melli loved it 🤣❤️
Looks amazing, and if we ever decide to go on the sun princess, I think I would opt for the splurge! The sunset may have been the best part of all.
It was beautiful yes. I must admit I did my homework with timing it. Happy I did that.
We are sailing on the Sun Princess for the Transatlantic Sailing in September for our 25th anniversary. Thanks for the awesome VLOG and information!
Thank you! From what I read in the comments it seems they lowered the price to $79 now. Have an amazing cruise and congratulations!

Nice video, thanks for sharing!❤
Thanks for the support Jim!
Lovely Video and just booked for our upcoming Cruise on the back of it so, thank you!
Great to hear! Hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did!
Thanks for that Bram. We're on Sun Princess early next year from Miami so it's great to see what's on offer. Best regards to you and Melli.
Thanks Chris! 😎
Looks good!
It was, Maarten! 🤤
Looks nice, normally go in the crown grill on princess, @ 50 dollars per person
That's one of the things I kept asking myself: does it beat 3 Crown Grills? Or 3 Sabatinis? 🤔

And I also think (looking back) he held back on the rosé because we just received the cocktails ☝️
Booked it for cruise on 6th of July - only charged $79 per head.
Interesting! Does this mean they weren't getting the crowd at $149? 🤔 Thanks for commenting about this Paul!
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY It looks like it? I booked it on the app - there was lots of availability on each day, but then it only just became available in recent days.
Good for you Paul, as long as they didn't cut back the menu 🤞
I wonder if $79 price is from a specialty meals credit from one of your two choices. ie. two specialty meals from Princess Premier.
Good point Doug. We didn't have any dining credits. Paul, do you?
Are the Drinks included for $140 pp
Hello Ed, the cocktails are seperate but the wines are included. I must ad that the rumour is they lowered the price to $79 now...
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY Thank you so much Bram, I had to go back and watch your MSC Vlog, what a joke. Yacht Club miss steps for sure
This particular Specialty is not included in the Princess Premier new package is it?
@@edfinley5719 I don't think so no.
They are the only ones in the room!
3 tables of 2. Keep in mind this is brand new. The website still said "coming soon" and it wasn't bookable on the app. We didn't mind, max service 🤩😎

How much is for cover and how much for the food ?
How do you mean? Cover for a restaurant? We paid $149 per person.
I just booked it for our December cruise and it was $79pp
@@landeeld9596 thank you for the comment. This confirms they lowered the price. 🙏
2nd impression
Sunset gorgeous
Venue looks very empty
Correct impression. It was only their third day open. Both te website ánd the app showed it as "coming soon". Only discovered it beeing open because the captain told us! So most people just didn't know about it. Or had made other plans pre cruise already.
Very elegant dinner, ruined by that terrible choice of music in the background.
The music towards the end of the night was not the best choice. But I must admit I didn't notice it at the time. Only heard it until I was editing the video.
I will continue to watch
But 1st impression … do not like the sommelier handling the Prosecco
Opened & hands on bottle top 🌟🥂🌟
Correct. Funny thing for me is: I am a waiter/bartender myself and didn't notice it myself at the time 🙈🙈🙈
The food looks amazing, but that sommelier with his hands all over the mouth of the bottle was disgusting.
I didn't notice that!!! 🙁😳
