Such a great run! These runners are hilarious, a perfect fit for the game. And I love the back and forth with the devs. (More runs, especially glitch-heavy ones, should have dev commentary!)

Ive been using this run as a sleep aide for the last almost 4 years. Still one of my favorites. The chemistry between everyone, the fact that its one of my favorite games, and the pure familiarity with this video, all mean im out by the time they make it to sanctuary every time.
this was a fantastic run and these runners made it fun for the viewers and the audience. Much love for GDQ and these runners

Warden despawns and dies behind the door every time and drops a guaranteed tediore shield. There is a chance it could be the cradle. This is why they got the cradle--not a world drop.

Just hearing them say they’re gonna fight terra at lvl 32 gave me small heart attacks
I mean, I managed to take down ~10% of tera's hp alone without glitches. Never again.
But surely that means that it's a piece of cake for them
So incredibly happy to see this run. The three had been trying so hard to get this on stage, through multiple years, and to see it finally happen, and with hardly any major hiccups (aside from the one 14 minutes in) and a lot of entertainment, was amazing. This is one I'll be rewatching a ton.
The best part about the cradle drop is that that drops from the model for WARD3N in the cutscene. It always drops a shield

This is possibly my favorite GDQ run that I've ever watched. As of this comment, I've possibly watched this run about 20 times.

I'm not gonna watch the whole thing because i'm currently on my first playthrough of Borderlands 2, but, great job on getting some of the head staff at Gearbox to tune in, that immediately makes this a very special event.
Edit: I beat the Pre Sequel first.
You're gonna love 2. Highly reccomend you pick up the DLC's!

1:13:00 when talking about the friendship gulag Roland rescue...I only heard about it because it was mentioned back in the game informer magazine before BL2 released and the demo tester actually had that happen as a show of the objectives changing as the quest progresses unlike BL1 where every step was shown immediately upon getting a quest

This is my favorite gdq to watch, I watch many and a lot of repeats, although this one takes the cake by far! 🖤
The cradle on the ground around 51 minutes is because the cut scene Warden for bloodshot dam actually dies and always drops a tediore shield. It can drop a cradle but its hyper rare so that's really cool.
I'm sorry, but the sentence "I'm sorry, I'm playing Knack II. What was the question?" Is to powerful for this world.

They mention that the Friendship Gulag is only used for rescuing Roland late, but it is also a location you need to visit in the quest The Good, The Bad, and the Mordecai which you need to do to farm a Veruc or Lyuda easily.
Yeah, they mentioned that when they said you go there to get an echo
That game crash at the end is legendary
The cradle is because whenever the warden in the cutscene despawns it always drops a turtle shield and sometimes it’s a cradle, I learned this from joltz or k6
Fun fact if you didnt know this
When you enter Bloodshot Ramparts during the story quest to save roland, a cutscene will play where you see Warden going through a door and the door closes. The Warden you see during the cutscene is not the same one you will be fighting later and the cutscene wardens just diesafter the cutscene and ALWAYS drops a Tediore shield so you can get a Cradle from there and you might think it is a world drop

The Mask SNES run from one of the older GDQs is great. Though there is some couple second delay, his reactions to the glitches are what makes it.
I remember a Battleblock theater run with the main voice actor, that was awesome. There also one with the dev of super meat boy IIRC
I think they had the dev for Roundabout on too one year.
@@MrAllallalla Yea both years that PJ and Mecha Richter did battle block Stamper did dev commentary and all three personalities together leave quotable moments. I remember the second year they did the 100% category Stamper gave the commentator the challenge to read a donation in his voice and it was a depressing donation and blew up. funny stuff. Anything PJ is always gold. Love that guy he is a pure entertainer. I've watched 3 hour long AI baseball tournaments that decide his next speedrun just because he is so entertaining. Also Super Baseball on SNES is goofy as hell and can be funny by itself.
The world drop cradle is a thing/bug in the game where warden (cutscene warden) will always drop a tediore sheild when dies/despawns. It can be from white to orange rarity, this mean that he can world drop a cradle anytime in any playthrough.

Ironically, my borderlands story started in church. Yes, the original Borderlands 1 was in an xbox at a church night over. We stayed up late and did some bible stuff, but I started on a random guys mid lvl 20s lilith and fell in love. I promptly had my parents take me out to buy it and it quickly became one of my favorite game series. Been here ever since pre ordering every game and enjoying the profane jokes and amazing references. Thanks for keeping us entertained with this awesome run and I hope to see this again if SGDQ 2020 happens!

I love the random questions about random little visual things and the devs are so funny and relaxed about it. Showing why Gearbox is actually a company that cares and really tries to make a fun game that their target audience will enjoy. So hyped for Borderlands 3 :D
4 years later. Howd you enjoy BL3. personally i thought the gameplay controls were tight but i think they fucked it up in a lot more aspects than even the pre sequel. So much that the pre sequel is now one of my favourites

I learned about it on UVHM while I had really crap guns.
I think it happened to me my first ever playthrough but I just forgot about it because it has been so long ago
It happened on my first playthrough. Didn't know off it's weakpoints and didn't have a corrosive weapon so he was taken away before I could remotely scratch it.

The Friendship Gulag Warden tp suprised me cuz i was playing with 2 friends. One of my friends ran past all the mobs to go fight the warden while me and my other friend fought the badass loaders and died 7 times. When it left, we were like BRUH YOU COULD HAVE WAITED FOR US, but i also did tell him that the boss didnt have a timer.

i actually mixed up dialouge myself on accident one time. some charachters were speaking and i picked up the a hyperion truth brodcasting echo and it said "welcome to hyperion truth broadcasting!" "if you don't have a fire weapon, marcus might sell 'em"
This is an amazing run. But my question is.. WHY THE HECK IS UP WITH THESE DROPS!? A cradle world drop and Deliverance!?

When cut-scene warden despawns it always drops a shield. This has a stupid low chance to be a cradle. I would assume that's what happened
Yo that funcannon OOB in bloodshot blew my fucking mind. I knew about the 4 nade OOB but I had no idea there was another version that (at least with him behind the wheel) looks way faster, cleaner and less stressful.
The fact someone didn't use Zer0 to get past some enemies quicker and use bor0 to destroy hyperios possibly Gee, bunker, and possibly Teramophis was surprising, (sorry if I misspelled some names)

So I was curious if anyone has ever done a all quest + DLC quest run. Tried looking on speed run leader boards, but it doesn't seem to be a category. Just wondering if someone has done it anyway just to see it done.

The game basically thinks they dropped the gun at the same time as they swapped it, so it drops it once for every drop input that happens at the same time as a swap input

Does anyone ever use the fireworks grenade from the special edition to kill MidgeMong? It one-shots Mong instantly from standing in front of the door and if it kills me too by accident I usually get instant second-wind from the same blast killing Midge.
Seems mildly quicker than shooting them.
on this earlier patch, the skyrocket is bad, it was improved in later patches
2:18:30 On camera AMYRLINN there's a giant rock monster. I was always wondering, why May was able to catch it in her ability but she couldn't catch Handsome Jack despite him being much smaller
why not 3 axtons and a gage 4 player co op
3 players is faster, the 4th player increases enemy health and there aren't enough activities in most areas to make a 4th person useful
