Man I'm glad it's nowhere near that cold here. Us southerners don't like cold . Good job on the spacers and hopefully they will do what you want. Prayers for you and Nannie and I'll see you on the next one.
How's she goin'? Thanks for your prayers Ronnie! They are much appreciated!! It was cold this day but turned out pretty nice through the afternoon. But here tonight it's blowing a gale and getting cold. Maybe some snow for tomorrow!! We can only hope!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Salut mon ami? Merci Dave. Le bloc de plywood je pense c'est mieux. Pas de neige tout de suite, mais ca arrive bientot!! Maintenant je suis pret. J'espere!! LOL Merci d'avoir regarde la video Dave et a la prochaine!!
How's she goin'? The day I did this job it was about -2 and a skiff of snow on the ground. That kind of prompted me to get 'er done!! LOL Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Nooooo!!! You are tempting fates!! Not ready at all. The only wings I want are one's that will fly me away to warmer climes!! lol That shop counter is keeping pretty clear! My own grandfather would be proud as he had to clean his off with javex even after a days work. Nannie wasn't very happy one time when after washing the clothes she realized that he had put the javex rag in the laundry tub. Well, enough said! LOL LOL Have a great week!!
How's she goin'? Your poor grandfather eh!! I bet he had a lot of 'making up' to do after that one!! LOL The bench top is pretty clear but it is slowing starting to get filled!! Not a good omen. Arrf Arr Otis and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Mike. The 2nd part should be up on Friday. But the trial, I hope, won't be for a while yet! LOL I hope you folks are all doing good. Take 'er easy!
Hello Grampie. I guess it's a good idea to get ready for winter now. Good luck with the repairs and I'll see you in the next one. Take care my friend 🙏🔧👍
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching Artie!! Yes sir, I'm trying to get ahead of old man winter. So far I'm doing OK but there is snow on the ground here this morning!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Bdog!! I didn't use the salt on this glue up because I had the screws instead. It worked though. Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? The way the weather has been so crazy lately, you just never know when it will come. It's better to be ready and waiting then scrambling when it gets here eh! Take care and thanks for watching Lloyd!!
Hello there Brian!! The day I did this job it was about -2 and a skiff of snow on the ground so it scared me and I figured I better get the snow plow looked after!! I hope these blocks hold up for the winter!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Steve. The truth be known, I'm way behind in winter prep. But if it snows I can at least plow!! LOL Thanks for tuning in. Take 'er easy!!
Enjoyed the video, my family went with the heat pumps and they love them, they do well. You doing a great repair and now will be ready for the inevitable, thanks for sharing this with us.👍
How's she goin'? Thanks a lot for watching. The heat pump is amazing. The shop is nice and warm. I'm looking forward to being out there this winter in just a shirt! LOL Take 'er easy!!
That should be good and strong and will hopefully stand upto the winter.dreadwinter coming but we know it will be here soon. Glad you are getting prepared.
Good evening Mike, I know the wings were giving you trouble, I hope this solution is going to work out better. So nice to see you working in a warm shop. Sue and I enjoyed the video. Hope you and Nannie have a great week, Ben 👋😎👍
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching Ben. That's pretty neat the you and Sue watch my videos!! I'm honored!! I hope the multi-plies of the plywood block hold up to the lateral forces placed on it. Snow plowing season isn't too far away eh!! Time to get the insulated covies out I think!! Take 'er easy!!
Seems both of have been warned that that cold woman fas given us the traditional warnings we don't dare not be paying attention to eh. We have been warned twice now. Neat trick with the salt bud. Short and sweet, I'll be here for part 2 my friend.
How's she goin'? Yes sir Dean, we have had some cold mornings and even a few flurries, so you know it's coming. And if I can get ready before I have to freeze my fingers off getting things set up, I'm all for that!! That salt trick works good!! LOL Take 'er easy!!!
How's she goin'? Nev the snow is coming. It always does!! LOL These spacer blocks should do the job eh!! Let's hope so anyways!! Take 'er easy and thanks for watching.
How's she goin'? Thanks Gator. I hope you're right!! I was thinking if it breaks I could use some of you special glue on it!! LOL Thanks for commenting. Take 'er easy!!

Great job :) some times it just has to be DIY , wood glue hay wire or a little duct tape we find a way 👍, Mike you just have the ability to make it look nice & work ! Yes get that plow ready We got a little more last night, It's headed your way :) Take care my friend"
How's she goin'? You know Don, that's what the game is all about, making do with what we have and making the best fix we can. I think this plywood block will be a lot stronger and I hope it will last the winter. Thanks a lot for commenting. Have a great week and stay warm!!
Plywood will definitely hold up better. I am glad it is a retune and not a redesign on the wings. I thought they worked out pretty well. Thanks Mike. Stevo
Hello there Stevo! Thanks. I think the wings are working OK but just have a few weak points. The plywood will look after one of the weak points!! Thanks for the visit and comment. Have a great week. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Del!! I hope the plywood spacers hold up. That salt trick is an old one. A guy I once worked for many years ago told me about that. It works good too!! Thanks for tuning in tonight and take 'er easy!!
Good day eh! Thanks a lot Larry!! I think the plywood will be stronger too and I hope they last the winter. I ended up painting them too! Ugh!! I appreciate the comment. Take 'er easy!!

Good fix buddy that should be nice and sturdy if you was here you could try out your plow we got about 20 mms of rain and about 2 pm it changed to snow we have got 5 cms down and still snowing they went with the plows glad I am retired and not driving in that slippery stuff take care and have a great night
How's she goin'? Thanks for tuning in Tom!! Wow, we had a skiff of snow on the ground the morning I did this job and it scared me into getting the plow ready, but enough snow to plow, Oh Oh, I hope that is a ways off yet!! Hello Nannie and Mike,... where have I been, you might ask, well busy and life got in my way most of this past summer,.😊. I've seen a lot of your videos, just haven't had enough time it seems to comment on many. You are correct though, 'tis the ( coming ) season, and preparedness is the key word. I have had a serious ( and darn expensive ) breakdown of my Kioti this past spring and summer, it's still down now, waiting on 'back ordered parts' ( Gotta love those 'back orders' ) However, all that aside, this is a great idea to use laminated plywood Mike. Should be really strong and resilient too, for the job coming up hey? I'll be here to see Part 2, "God willing and the weather" as my Dear ol' Father used to say.
How's she goin'? Glad to have you back commenting Reg! I've missed ya buddy!! Sorry to hear about your Kioti!! But I hope it's nothing money and new parts can't repair. LOL This plywood spacer, I hope, will be just the ticket to get me through the winter's plowing season! Thanks for commenting. I know time can be precious at times and I appreciate you giving my channel some of yours!! Take 'er easy!!

Hello there Garry!! A guy I worked for many years ago told me about using salt for glue ups. He was an old guy and passed along that tip. Now I'm an old guy passing along that tip!! The circle of life eh!! I like to have my videos around 13 minutes. To me, even that is asking folks a lot to give of their time to watch. But if you noticed that last few videos I've posted are over 20 minutes! Sometimes things work out to plan and sometimes they don't!! This video was going to be almost 20 minutes long too, so I decided it might be good to split it in 2 parts!! Thanks for commenting. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? You know what Dave, I think you're right about the painting. It seems that's all I've been doing lately!! This spacer block sure looks good and solid so I hope it holds up!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!

Better to do it now than after the first big snow dump. That salt trip sounds pretty smart, I'll have to remember that. Maybe just coat the wood in used motor oil to protect them, so you don't have to paint. Just soak them in a bucket for a bit and wipe them off maybe
Hello there Bruce! Thanks for that idea about soaking them in oil. That would be a good idea, but I already painted them!! LOL But if they break again, the oil bath might be in the cards!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!
You had to say the "W" word didn't you? (winter) You know that the simple mention of that word will make it SNOW! So, you'll have nobody to blame when you're knee deep in the stuff (and neighbours throw snow balls) because you said the "W" word too early! The snow plow extensions are a great idea and the braces being stronger should be much better. I really hope these work and I look forward to seeing them put to use in snow. OH OH, there's the "S" word. My Bad! I think re-making the wooded blocks is a really good plan! I made a gate a few years ago from regular plywood and when it got wet, it de-laminated. I wonder if marine-grade plywood would stand up better to wet conditions? Being ready for "W" is always good , and you seem to be prepared every year. All the best, Take care and hello to Nanny!
How's she goin'? I know I said the 'w' word but only on my channel and not many people watch my videos so I think I might be OK!! LOL I painted the plywood spacer blocks so hopefully that might help with delaminating. But that's a good point! The cost of 3/4 regular ply is almost out of ability to pay so the marine grade would be like getting another mortgage I bet!! Take 'er easy!!
It’s that time again eh Mike. We haven’t had any snow yet but it’s coming. Glad to see you’re getting ready those wings should be strong enough eh. Take care
