Thanks for sharing this excellent list Vincenzo. If I were to add a pen to the list, it would be the Asvine V169 in matte black, mainly for the non-slippery finish, and understated and less-flashy design. Thanks for all the reviews you've produced and shared with love this year. I wish you and your family a wonderful and healthy new year and look forward to watching and learning from your reviews in 2024. Cheers!
@@fountainpentherapy Thanks a lot for your kind response, and this "loyal listener" apologizes for missing your No. 4 most favourite skeleton pen! I must have looked away or spoken with my wife while it came up. On the positive side, I am very happy I had similar thought to yours :) Many, many thanks, and have a wonderful new year :)
Interesting. The M169 is a different pen, less weight, plastic section. Shares cap & barrel but many pen brands do that. Your pricing is in Canadian dollars & does not reflect the lower prices I see. Enjoy your New Year.
Aligned with you ! The A6 is the best skeleton 2023 (and I like also the D1, then I fully understand your doubts). The nib is very good but it is not in my mind what's make the real difference as Asvine nibs can also be very good: the skeleton itself is much more chiseled, much more engraving details. Thumb up !
I received my A6 A couple of days ago & WOW! LOVE it! & just ordered a D1. My only tiny complaint with the A6 is that the section is a bit thick, but it's still a buttery smooth springy writer, even in an extra fine!
I think your list was good. It is unfortunate that you were unable to properly review number 8 prior to making this list but it happens. Looking forward to that review video at some point in the future. I am liking your content!
Thanks for sharing! Personally, I would have made a somewhat shorter list; to me, a cartridge/converter in a skeleton pen interferes with the aesthetics so I toss 'em out of consideration.
Great video not usually a great skeleton pen fan,but bought a V169 on eBay at a great price.Purchased a A6 on AliExpress after all the rave reviews but alas the delivery company here in the UK appear to be struggling to deliver it.They have had it since 21/12/2023😩
You totally missed that the Majohn T6 you presented is inspired by the Beijing National Stadium that was constructed for the 2008 summer Olympics, the stadium was designed to resemble a bird's nest and it's the structure depicted in the ads for the pen.
I sure did. I did not see this in any of the sites I recently visited (Amazon, Aliexpress and Etsy). The only reference I saw was to City lights and some photographs with watches. But the overlay on the model I reviewed sure resembles the BIrd"s Nest. Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from Australia. Great Video. Thanks very much. I'm in a quandary now because I need to cap off my Hong dian collection at 12, and I have a custom-made Chinese themed leather pen case with only one space left. I am torn between the A6 and the N10 two different styles. The size 8 nib and ink window of the latter may have the edge?
ma daaaiii vincenzo...potevi comprare un paio di 'high-end' pens!! the montblanc spider and the visconti watermark sono sia belle e scrivono molto meglio di quel hongdian hahahaha my D1 is nice but it dries out and came only in EF & F when i bought it. Auguri per capo d anno.
For the pattern I think the V169 remains the best of that bunch: smooth curves and doesn't look too busy. That many of them don't post is a minor issue, as they seem to be quite heavy, ruling out posting (about 30g just the body?). Also, most have a polished metal section, serious bummer. Brushed steel is a thing!
I do not have the A6, but I do have the D1. I guess I like the soft nib a lot. I wish I had a soft nib on the D5. That would make it perfect. The Jinhao 100 Skeleton (closed version) is a beautiful pen but the rattling converter is what has turned me off on it. If it had interior flanges as does the Jinhao 9019 to hold the converter, it would be a great pen.
Outstanding review. The Hongdian A6 and D1 are obviously top of the class. Happy New Year to you.
Happy New Year and thank you for being a loyal listener and commentator on my channel. Greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Thanks for being a loyal listener. By the way my V169 is on the list and it is the matte black version.

What I realized is that just a few days between making and posting the video saw significant price changes.
Happy New Year.

The A6 is really the best of the lot.
The #1 and #2 are my exact first and second choice too!!!!
Cheers! Enjoy!
I ENJOY A LOT YOUR REVIEWS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Glad you like them!

I will see what I can do.

I understand your point. But Those cartridge converter pens are really comfortable and well balanced and give me a very good writing experience.

Yes I would go with the N10 just because of that No 8 size nib.

When I win the lottery maybe.

With prolonged use of these metal pens you get used to the slippery sections. I never thought I would grow fond of these pens and yet I did.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing. I must be one of the lucky ones since my D5 nib is really springy.
