That trail makes me breathe hard too due the the elevation. Amazing how the elevation takes a toll. Took my 06' Honda CRF250x up it last summer. The 250x eats it up. The view at the end is awesome!
FYI, radiators are very malleable and can easily be worked back into shape with a rubber mallet, vise, and some chunks of wood. If it’s leaking a rad shop will patch it up for a couple of bucks.
That is one of the reasons I run radiator braces and not just the front guards. I have been down many times on 3 different bikes with the braces and no issues.
BPD radiator guards are beautiful but they have no foldback protection. So for my current bike I'm using Devol guards and they do have a brace behind the radiator. Dunno if they support Sherco but Shercos do seem to be gaining popularity.
Sweet vid! It'd be neat to have side by side videos on the same trail on the 4 stroke vs 2 stroke. See if struggle areas are same or different. ( FYI I'm not 100% just an anonymous complainer: ) I have bought a shirt from you and I do like the videos!!)
thats unlucky my ktm 500 was cart wheeled about 15m and it faired well with a bent bars , back guard , quick fix and back out riding again lol cheers Steve/Australia
This trail looks really nice ! Never been to America but Utah seems like a wild but beautiful country ! Btw, are you often riding alone? I'm always afraid of a bad fall, being stuck below my bike or else..
Man, 2 years later, the prices on these are even more wild. $15k + tax, registration, setup, destination, and basic protection parts. $18k before it touches dirt. I thought $12k for my KTM was bad.
My back, neck & muscle hurt and I'm out of breath just watching this.......I'm certainly not in "off road" shape.....note to self if/when I get a dirt bike: exercise
When you say it would be so much easier on a two-stroke versus four stroke can you explain. I haven’t had a two-stroke since I was 15 years old it was quite some time ago
4 strokes and 2 strokes have basically switched places since we were kids. 2 strokes are now the low rpm torque machines that require less/easier maintenance, and 4 strokes are now the harder hitting, high rpm, high strung race machines that require more frequent maintenance. My mind was blown after taking a 10 year break from the hobby.
now that's better its going great at 10,000 ft is sounds good,, your not changing gears all the time its smooth and handles the terrain fantastic,, dont know why you gave that away ??
The Sherco and 300 XCW both place at or near the top at Erzberg etc. The only real advantage of the XCW would be TPI to keep the fueling right at that elevation, but the Sherco didn't sound bad in this video.
@@youtubeaccount9058 don’t forget the linkless PDS suspension which is a huge advantage in terms of ground clearance and not having anything hanging down to get bumped or hung up on. Also the turning radius of the XCW is far far far tighter and the bike is also lighter too.
@@youtubeaccount9058 not having the linkage is a known advantage. Every rider has been hung up on those linkages before when hitting obstacles, logs, rocks, splatters. Etc. Sort of unfair to bring up the worlds best rider and the sponsored bike he is paid to ride. Jarvis could literally ride anything and win. Jarvis is also on the record saying that he prefers the linkless PDS system and that if it was up to him that’s what he would ride. But since it’s not he just rides what his sponsors put in front of him.

Great riding Kyle
I love my 2023 Sherco sef 300
That day you start a ride and wish you had never started 😂 awesome ride ! Great workout
Glad I'm not the only one that talks to myself while riding like this. A lot of people don't understand how exhausting this is.
Im thinking he is talking to himself because he is filming... and you are doing it because you have friends in your head? ;)
@@marcusnilsson2463 He's talking to himself. He says "c'mon Kyle."

you guys are blessed to have that kind of beautiful terrain to ride. I’m so sick of riding in Florida sand 🥲
Wow the zero stall and the torque the bike has going up those hills makes me want a sherco300
Icw is the best thing to ever happen to radiators this guy can fix anything and reinforces it better than anyone can
Love this type of riding! Great physical exercise, good for reflexes...keeps ya on your toes.

I love that trail! I can’t wait for the snow to melt
What trail is that?
I’ve been on this trail so savage! I had to make a sketchy turn around because there was still snow

300 2t or 300 4t what you like better just for having more fun??
Nice ride Kyle! Does that trail go anywhere or do you have to turn around and ride it back down?
Is that the trails near a certain park? If so they are dam tough!

How do you suppose the KX250X would do on this trail? Perhaps with a sprocket change...

Ha I've done that trail twice. Its exhausting. You got better lungs than I do. Think I took 4 breaks in what you showed.
Im surprised you said it bent your BPD rad guard because those things seem indestructible.

Best 4 st ever
Please test a beta 250rr, dying to buy one but I can't find a quality video on one.
I do not think I would want to ride that trail alone. Good riding.

@@gpaull2 Yeah, its crazy how they flopped, 4 stroked used to be the slow torque monsters.
3:32 So I'm not the only one that gets thrown by those pesky roller rocks that dramatically shift momentum...
After carefully examining this video frame by frame I only found 1 thing you did wrong in my eyes. Answer: Riding this trail in the first place. Lol
"Legal" singletrack, there is such a thing?
Well, there certainly is illegal singletrack
Here in Canada, we have legal OHV areas for bikes, quads and 4x4's and I'm pretty sure they have them in the US. also.
Bones they do
How the hell are you doing this at 10000 feet. I'd be dead.

that bike is meant to lug like that, first gear is too slow

If the radiator doesn't leak, run it.

hi
The impression that I am left with is that your forks are not set up properly and/or too high of a front tire pressure. You are wandering too much
I don't like that sound . To stroke forever.
