Step by step to the solution, without changing ANY part. Fiat Punto 188 1.2 8v

- Hello guys! Troubleshooting, diagnostics, tests and more tests! It's the only way to work so you don't waste time or money! It wasn't necessary to replace any part to find out what the vehicle's issues were, in fact, with this method you not only save money but also learn a little more about the entire architecture of the car. As you can see in the Fiat 127, the steps are identical, see spark, see fuel and compression. Of course, in this case you are absolutely sure that the engine unit is programmed and the key is coded and accepted - this with the diagnosis with AUTEL by parameters.

Well done, my Portuguese friend :)
Hello. Thank you very much!
Dear friend you are simply the KING !!! I had the same problem on the same car and same engine . Best regards from Italy and thank you very much .
I'm glad it did help. Thanks for watching
Right diagnostic is the most unstressed way to fix the problem. Nice work!👍
Thank you very much.
Famous video. Thank for made. Now repair our Fiat Punto 188.👍
Thanks for watching
Great video Bruno. Technical, with good explanations and camera work, showing what you're doing.
Thank you very much for that! Makes me keep going. Have a nice weekend
Huge but nice job, Bruno!
Thank you very much! Have a nice weekend
Hello dear friend, I thought I had solved it with your precious advice but the next day my Punto 1.2 fire 8v no longer started. Basically I have a broken timing belt drive shaft gear and obviously the engine has gone out of phase. Kind regards, I hope it is useful to other users because it is a problem that appears suddenly.
Good job. That is how real diagnostics looks like. I hate when people on forums say that they took the car to mechanics and "the diagnostics say nothing" (no codes)...
BTW, that car was crashed on the driver's side?
Hello. Thank you very much. Yes, no fault codes is a killer for most.. I actually prefer no fault codes, so in that way I cannot be distracted or confused by them. About your sandero's taillights connector, I'm doing a video with that info now. On a Spider! Double win I guess.
About a crash, it did crash on the front.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Thanks man. Actually, after I had removed and put back the connector last time, after a few days the problem became extreme. Fog light was turning full on and lighting up much brighter then the brake or indicator light. I wiggled the connector a bit and now it is all gone. So yeah, the bad connector is the problem. There is a repair kit availabe for about 15 dollars on Aliexpress, but I would need to cut the wires and solder them, insulate them. Because I am looking to buy 939 Alfa anyway, I don't think I will be doing anything, unless the problem keeps returning.
I'll try to pull a short from this new video. To be able to get that info sooner, because this new one only will come out in July/August.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Nah, you don't need to, mate. When I said that it is all gone now, I meant that all the problems are gone after I moved the connector a bit. So far it is working.
Ok. I'll keep going then. Have a nice weekend
Hi i have freind with the same engine crank bolt come off and the crank pully is free spining. Its a non interference engine but how can i put the pully back. I dont see notch or smothing to lock the wheel in correct position?
Hello. Send some photos. Check out the description
Thank you🙏
Thanks for watching
Un diagnósrico brillante! Gracias por compartirlo
Muito obrigado. No fuel filter
@@alfaromeonoproblem I am worried because I have the code u1601, bad can connection, but it only fails when hot and that is when the engine loses performance and pulls. spark ok, injectors ok, air and sensors ok... I don't see cables or connectors in bad condition. As you say, could it be the small ECU?
Wiring is the most probable cause
@@alfaromeonoproblem ok, I will check it. Thank you very much!
@@alfaromeonoproblem Does this U1601 DTC only refer to the CANH and CANL wiring? Or should I also check the rest of the motor cables, sensor cables, etc. What do you think about please
Hi and thanks for your vídeos, what did you meant ant the beginning? Which cheap thing behind motor should be switched when p0300 and p0300 is showing up, Zylinders are missfiring
Do you think it'll fix problem?
Hello. The ECU must be replaced.
@alejandrocheda2733 yes
@@alfaromeonoproblem i ordered yesterday only 4 new sparking plugs and correspondent cables.
I will look for an ecu tomorrow
Let's see what happens...
Thank you!
hi, i have a really unpopular problem on punto 1.4 8v 2012, engine run rough at idle, in my ecu no error but spark advance fluctuate a lot at idle rpm, i mean..it's not normal, on other fiat engine spark advance is on 10 degrees at idle, my spark advance go between 3 and 15 degrees..any help please?
Hello. It's very common for the ECU failure. Really very common! Normally control unit repair centers have them ready to go, they really go bad.
Do you have a fault code related to misfires?
@@alfaromeonoproblem no error code, my ecu is really bad, even if i unplug ht leads, i have no error code
@frax6114 that may be it
@@alfaromeonoproblem i will try with new coil and ht led, then i will send my ecu to some center
@frax6114 ok. Get back with news
