Thanks. This saved me from buying expensive furniture I’ve never bought furniture for my apartment but now that I am I know never to go to a furniture store
I want to a name brand store to buy a leather power loveseat almost spent five grand on it only to be dissatisfied once I took it home it would not take it back because it was custom-made. I need to lift chairs where would I go what is a markup on these things? Thank you love your videos
Bro I love this channel. I found it right when I was starting my own hustle. We all saw that one video, but your channel is insanely helpful. Thanks for the content!!
Thank you so much for letting me express my feelings about your video. You record all videos so well. Keep the hard work going and good luck. Hope to see such a beneficial post ahead too.
bif pronlem out there is obvious is bedbugs from used furnture or everybody would be buying used. my worry is how do you know if someone is lying by saying its new but its on cosignment or refurished
Truth I sat on my floor with a pillow on my back and watched TV for 8 years. Now I make some good dough and bought a luxury recliner but if it burned tomorrow I'd be back on the floor.
Hey, do you power wash any piece and use that new cleaner you bought on every piece regardless of material? I agree with your video here, the new prices are so crazy right now. Videos like yours have helped me realize the importance of secondary market.
How could you compare used furniture to new furniture ? And yes you can negotiate pricing on certain brands, some brands have nationwide set prices, this video is highly inaccurate and misleading to consumers, don’t finance ? How did you buy your car or house ? Financing is a tool if you use it right. Everyone I hope you see that this fella simply thought he knew what was going on so he made a video. He’s assumption on the cost is horrible and highly wrong
Absolutely yes. They sell stuff other places sell with their own mark ups. Go to wholesale furniture if you're looking for the best deal or if you want to pay the prices you're seeing and want your money's worth go to hand built furniture that's super good quality.
Coleman furniture is the worst offender. They are a scam. Scummy business that should be out of business. I'd tell everyone to avoid Coleman furniture aka renegade furniture
If you buy a piece of furniture for $50 and you sell it for $500 your markup is considerably higher than a furniture stores mark-up for brand new. You're mixing apples and oranges man. The used furniture market is entirely different from the new. How much was your electric bill and are you paying social security for all your employees in fact you have any employees that you're paying minimum wage to... Do you have liability insurance on your employees and yourself 😉. How much you paying a month for your showroom? Do carry health insurance on your employees? Do you have any idea how much manufacturers charge furniture stores for furniture? I think 🤔 not. You know about as much about furniture as the guy that washes the windows at my store.
This makes no sense .. why are you comparing furniture to cars? Can you trade in old furniture for new furniture? Second had furniture is for college people.. not for professional people that own homes.
Dislike this dumb comment. You can technically sell your old furniture to help finance your new furniture... And I could buy new furniture, then immediately turn around and sell it for secondhand half price because I just realized I didn't like it. Would you not buy my newly bought furniture for half price? Professional people who own homes should know how to be financially responsible.
@@DanielPowell357 please tell me which store I can trade in my used furniture for a newer used furniture like trading in a used car at a car dealership for a newer used car. Please tell me and I’ll delete e my dumb comment. I can’t wait go to the Carmax furniture store.
@@benjaminfajardo9469 I literally said "You could sell your old furniture". You, meaning you yourself. Plenty of sites would facilitate that. His point wasn't that furniture and car companies have the same trade-in feature, but that people sell their own new furniture for half price because they just didn't like it. You just need to do some digging to find the good deals. Just because it's second hand, doesn't mean it's only good for college kids.
@@DanielPowell357 I really don’t want to waste my time rewatching his video.. My comment was about him comparing furniture to cars. I didn’t understand the point because it isn’t easy to just trade in your furniture unless you sell before or after you bought your new used furniture. On something like Facebook marketplace. When I was a college student I could only afford free. Grabbing stuff my parents basement is all I could afford. But now that I am a professional I can afford to walk into a furniture store and buy new and I don’t have any regrets and I don’t feel like I was scammed because I could afford it . For me a sofa is like buying a mattress I would prefer to buy new. Did you see his video of the sofa getting washed in the back of a pickup truck at a do it yourself car wash? Did you see him getting furniture in the storage.? Those sofas looked pretty old and what I would get if I was a poor college student… that’s all I’m saying. I don’t mind buying used hard furniture like tables, chairs and dressers because I can clean it.. the sofat stuff like pillows, sofas and mattresses if I can afford it I would buy new. I’m done we can agree to disagree.. have a good night!

Great video. Thank you for this information
You just made a perfect example of something. Why wouldn't buy used furniture. The back of your truck and your pressure washing it.

You shouldn’t be buying furniture if you can’t afford it.
