I don't understand the example pitch, it's a walk through someone's cv. She tried to convince someone to hire her by saying she's the perfect fit without identifying what she would fit (emphasis on ANY job opening in sales department). Should I have assumed that both parties know that? And if yes, doesn't that mean that the person she pitched to already rejected her?
"Dress professionally, make sure you didn't smoke beforehand" for an impromptu pitch about your business? Also, talk about your educational background? How long are the elevator rides you're taking? You have MAYBE 20 seconds before your potential prospect tunes you out, especially if you started off with "I'm so smart because I went to Harvard..."

Example is too boring, no change of tone, no actual interest as a potential customer, tips are fine.
They said it shouldn’t seem scripted, but it totally is scripted, and seems that way. The tips were great, but the example was subpar.
i think so too
I agree, I ended up zoning out because it was so lengthy. I prefer a more short and sweet approach, not a "Let's read off my entire resume to you".

30-60sec, the example was way too long as others have said
Thank you for this eye-opening video on how to talk about yourself question during a job interview.😀SNHU/lnb Friday 10282022
