I think it’s a thing for them to mate before eywa. He saw them there at the trees that morning when they were destroyed, he knew they had spent the night there. He scoffs at the sight of them there and then confronts Jake later when the meet again.
In one of Tsu'tey comics this girl that has a crush on Tsu'tey tries to convince Tsu'tey to give up on Neytiri since she mated with Jake and that he is the only guy that can't see it as it is. I think it's the same night when Jake and Neytiri mate

However, when Neytiri asks him to dance and they are quite obviously into one a another, Tsu’tey becomes jealous again and that possible acceptance is annihilated. It was clear to me that Jake anticipated this ; when she asked him to dance he initially refused and when she convinced him he grabbed Grace to join. I think he did that so it would appear to be more of a group event rather than just him and Neytiri. Also Grace is human and female so grabbing her instead of Norm may have been to comfort Tsu’tey-see i went after a woman of my own species. However, Grace soon joins others and it ends with Jake and Neytiri looking blissful and lovingly at one another so it doesn’t work and kills any seed Tsu’tey had for a liking to Jake. Also good development for their attractions to one another . The problem with the parent’s lines at the end is that if they had put that in the movie it wouldn’t have made sense. They say they have to put a stop to the infatuation yet nowhere in the film do they try to. Neytiri continues to guide Jake. If they kept that part in they’d have to have talked to Neytiri and told her that after the ceremony is complete and Jake is one of the people, her duties with him are done and she must focus on serving the other people and learning from her mother, the ways of the spiritual leader. It would have worked if they said this and told her that the day after the ceremony she had to stop being a guide to Jake: he would be sufficient on his own as he had become a man. She would need to guide the younger Na’vi. Hence when she took him to the tree of souls on that last night it would have been the last accepted night they could spend quality time together. This would have definitely fueled her desire to poke around the discussion of choosing a mate. Now or never.
I would have loved if they added this scene, it showed how Jake and Neytiri’s Love started to develop. And how the tribal people enjoyed themselves. I would love to live in a world like this. :)
Tsu Tey majorly pissed off Jake when he implied humans were cowards. Jake witnessed a lot of bravery and sacrifice during his time as a solider on earth. Sam acted that well, if looks could kill...
All these people put so much work and love in this, its crazy. Also you can see the chemistry here between main characters, CGI models never managed to show it perfectly.
3:25 Awwww, am I the only one who love this part? I mean, it was so nice of Jake to think also about Grace and pull her into dancing. For some reason her trying to protest and respond "Oh no, no, no I'm a scientist!", but in the end letting herself be dragged into the celebration was so entertaining to watch. The fact that her and Norm actually had the scene to show that other side of their personality - them not being "just scientists" and having fun, integrating with the Na'vi tribe is so wholesome. I'd give anything to see this scene fully rendered!
No way, this is stunning! For real, I think this scene it's way too memorable for the cinema story. I mean-- can you see the uniqueness of this? is a bunch of blue-cat-aliens having a party in their planet with a scene that shows rivalry, companionship and romance between characters, through a pretty suggestive and tribal dance, while the tension grows with the music!! C'MON--- I WANT THIS TO BE FULLY RENDERED (QAQ!!!
This actually has so much more depth than it seems. It shows that the Na'vi adapted some of the human culture since the humans arrived when they are chanting for Jake to chug the drink.
It is also cool how we see Jake taking drinks and people cheering him at the start of the film in the extended edition. Jake was always good drinking it seems 😂
I honestly just want a compilation of all the deleted scenes completely finished just so I can see what they’d look like. Especially when Jake undergoes the dreamhunt bc I thought I was tripping the first time I watched it. But obviously that’s never gonna happen 😭
Honestly if it doesn’t happen, it’ll be for legal reasons, not money. We’re getting to the point where even smaller groups like CorridorDigital are approaching or surpassing the realism of OG Avatar rendering. But sadly what it would take is for the studio to release the original 3D tracking and facial data, 3d models, and scenes. At least to a private shop. In this day and age of intellectual property I really doubt they will. But it makes me sad to know that people are out there able and probably willing to finish those scenes but most likely won’t have a chance.
Yeah well that's always how it is some films have great scenes that they cut just like The Last Jedi like there was a scene of Luke asking Rey where Han was and we don't see Luke's reaction when he finds out that his best friend, his brother in law is dead and was killed by his own son his nephew they have a deleted scene of Luke mourning Han's death and it shows Leia thinking about Han's death too in the novel there was even a funeral for Han why didn't they show that in the movie he was a hero one of the greatest ever alongside Luke Skywalker and they don't give a heroes funeral like the fuck?
It's an great scene of showing the dance, celebration, honor the ways of traditions. As i, an native american. Don't see too many movies honoring the native culture's. It's too bad & damn shame. This wasn't added in extended ✂ cut version, it would've shown so much ideals of between South America & North Native American cultures & heritages. It's importantly for everybody to know of how precious our planet 🌎 is. It's also up to humanity to change our ways to persevere & protect the planet, ourselves & our environment. It's up to us, humans to change & protect our future. It isn't too late to change & think for our future generations.
holy shit this scene is so good!!! they definitely should have included it in the final cut, i love the character development between jake and tsu’tey 🥺
This is actually a great scene everyone is having a good time 2:04 even Norm was there in the village because in the movie only Jake and Grace where the only Avatars who where invited into the Navi village.
ALL of the deleted scenes should have been added. Hell, the final grossed amount probably would have been tripled. They have great three hour movies out there(Titanic)
The thing I love the most about these deleted scenes is the pre-cgi acting with everyone in their mocap suits, everyone looks like they're having so much fun!?
I like how Grace is chillin wit the boys. And Laz Alonso as Tsu’Tey was a perfect casting choice. Tsu’Tey was a honorable warrior and I see why Jake looked at him as a brother while he knew Tsu’Tey never fully trusted him. Jakes saw Tsu’Tey, Tsu’Tey didn’t see Jake until he was Toruk and rightfully so.
Sam and Zoe channel a beautiful chemistry even trussed up in that ridiculous mocap suit and with dots on their faces. Would love to see them work on another non-avatar movie together
How on earth did they manage to actually !act in those cgi equipment? I mean, how can you seriously play a part: emotions, feeling, serious scenes, love, anger with other actors when each and every one of you are wearing this ridiculous stuff. And the imagination it takes! No props, no setting - just bare grey walls and cgi all over your body. I take my hat off in front their genius.
Little kid, it's _really_ not that hard when you're a professional, aka used to acting and knowing your craft... Like with anything else that comes with practice Oml
This deleted scene makes me smile so much. The basic animation dance scenes look funny but it's such a great way of showing bonding and the Omatikaya culture
Seriously even though thats all in a studio and a lot of imagination is required by all of the crew, it looks so fun to do, and the expressions of everyone acting looks so genuine.. I love this film so much
I wish we got more of this with Tsutey and Jake. In the final cut he's little more than a minor antagonist, but here there is a genuine friendship moment.
I always felt them following jake was a bit rushed..but.now I see they bonded with him and drank with him. This deleted scene really showed him becoming part of the culture. I hate that they cut it
while watching this, I just realized that you can still distinguish their original faces even in avatar form like its them but not really.... you know what I mean. JAMES CAMERON IS AWESOME!!!
I wish we got more scenes like this with Jake interacting with the clan. It would have made such a bigger impact on him becoming a part of the Na'vi and then betraying their trust. Also in clans/tribes like this bonds between members are very important and deepened while eating/hunting/dancing together etc
We get a lot of character moments here from almost half the main cast Definitely would have kept this one Although I can see why rendering this in 2009 would have been hell
Fr and i really wanted to see the part where jake and neytiri danced so badly, i now actually hope maybe in avatar 3 there will come a dance scene where we will could fanilly see them dancing together
Hopefully with the new films on the way there will be an incentive to finish these scenes, some of them add to the film. And now we're in an era where people really like extended editions.
A real shame they didn't finish this scene. It's cool to see a moment of Tsu'tey respecting Jake. And that Norm could hang with the Omaticaya as well
he briefly respects him here then goes right back to being jealous and petty until their spar in the 2nd act.
it'd give context to them calling each other "brother" during the battle
well, in the comic tsutey’s path they show this scene so it’s officially canon at least
I like this for two reasons. One, Na'vi culture is implemented here, which is great, and how Tsu'tey watches as Jake steals his gal

Same here it adds more character to them.
Neytiri: Hell yeah!
Me: Wait… WAIT-
I would have loved to see more moments between T’sutey and Jake 😭
No way, this is stunning! For real, I think this scene it's way too memorable for the cinema story. I mean-- can you see the uniqueness of this? is a bunch of blue-cat-aliens having a party in their planet with a scene that shows rivalry, companionship and romance between characters, through a pretty suggestive and tribal dance, while the tension grows with the music!! C'MON--- I WANT THIS TO BE FULLY RENDERED (QAQ!!!
I wish this scene was in the movie. It shows Jake being gradually accepted by the other young hunters.
Neytiris “HELL YEAH” was great, I loved it
i love ❤ how jake kept looking at neytiri and melting away at the end. He just couldn't take his eyes off of her 🥰💕
This guy fell hard. ❤😭
This actually has so much more depth than it seems. It shows that the Na'vi adapted some of the human culture since the humans arrived when they are chanting for Jake to chug the drink.
This is their own culture, not that of humans.
It is also cool how we see Jake taking drinks and people cheering him at the start of the film in the extended edition. Jake was always good drinking it seems 😂
They shouldn’t have cut this out it is HILARIOUS! 😂
Agh I wish they had kept this bonding moment between Jake and T'sute
Norm is so cute, I just want to hug him so bad
I honestly just want a compilation of all the deleted scenes completely finished just so I can see what they’d look like. Especially when Jake undergoes the dreamhunt bc I thought I was tripping the first time I watched it. But obviously that’s never gonna happen 😭
Im sure when Avatar 2 comes out in December of 2021 that they'll re design the original movie for us.
@@oz968 not sure.. but if, that would be so cool, dang it
Honestly if it doesn’t happen, it’ll be for legal reasons, not money.
Wow. That was very nice of you to say. Hopefully the Avatar Sequels can shed more light on those ideals.
I agree
The ps1 graphics with the Na vi gliding towards each other at the end fucking got me 🤣
holy shit this scene is so good!!! they definitely should have included it in the final cut, i love the character development between jake and tsu’tey 🥺
This is actually a great scene everyone is having a good time 2:04 even Norm was there in the village because in the movie only Jake and Grace where the only Avatars who where invited into the Navi village.
THIS. THIS is the scene out of all the cut scenes that should've been kept in!!!!
This would have made things connected a little more
My opinion of the deleted scenes that should have been in the movie, ALL OF 'EM!
Joshua Erickson yeah I agree, imagiane how long the movie would’ve been though
@@ZeroUs30 if James Cameron and his crew managed to complete all scenes of the movie, the movie would be well over 4 hours long.
@@AMETHYST21897 I don´t mind, I´d love to see all the scenes altogether
They should at least have a deluxe cut for people who want to see the entire movie with fully rendered deleted scenes
Same here. I would like to watch that, and would pay a lot of money for that. Maybe they’ll do that for the 20th anniversary edition.
ALL of the deleted scenes should have been added. Hell, the final grossed amount probably would have been tripled. They have great three hour movies out there(Titanic)
It’s scenes like this that makes avatar one of the greatest sci fi movies ever and is why I honestly think avatar is a much better movie than endgame
The thing I love the most about these deleted scenes is the pre-cgi acting with everyone in their mocap suits, everyone looks like they're having so much fun!?
I would have loved to see that side of tsu’tey, kinda opening up as he got “drunk” It would have been so funny and more tsutey content for edits
This would've been a great scene
This would've added so much to Tsu'tey as a character.
Amazing how the actors learnt a new languatge and could express actuall emotions with all that green dobts on their face and weird equipment around
It’s sucks we missed out on this scene. I would’ve loved to see more of the Omaticaya culture
Cant wait for the new one to come out in 2021!
Nova's Corner I thought it was 2020 awww
@@noelanic153 yeah, they put it back a year.
That's sad but I certainly sure that will be amazing
*Hello I'm From Future 2020*
2022 now, oof
I love how Jake is dragging Grace to the dancefloor like dont leave me alone 🤣
How on earth did they manage to actually !act in those cgi equipment? I mean, how can you seriously play a part: emotions, feeling, serious scenes, love, anger with other actors when each and every one of you are wearing this ridiculous stuff. And the imagination it takes! No props, no setting - just bare grey walls and cgi all over your body. I take my hat off in front their genius.
Cameron let them spend time getting used to it first
Little kid, it's _really_ not that hard when you're a professional, aka used to acting and knowing your craft... Like with anything else that comes with practice Oml
At 4:02 to 4:04 the people on the far right without detail just floating had my dying 😭
This deleted scene makes me smile so much. The basic animation dance scenes look funny but it's such a great way of showing bonding and the Omatikaya culture
Well, in the comic it’s now confirmed this is canon even if it was deleted from the movie.
Theres a comic?
@@fuckablepancakes yep, it’s called Tsu’tey’s Path
@Frogger well not all of them are the same as in movies. It’s up to Cameron in the end
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA WHAT A KICKASS SCENE!!!! OMG WHYYYYYY DID THEY CUT THIS???? Omg
Planning on making a video on this?
@@Rainbowhawk1993 omg YES 😱😃 I didn't even know about this til you posted it 😄
Seriously even though thats all in a studio and a lot of imagination is required by all of the crew, it looks so fun to do, and the expressions of everyone acting looks so genuine.. I love this film so much
Its so interesting to see them performing in the studio.
Oh man, now I really want to see this completely finished!
I hate that they cut it
Oh mannnnn this NEEDED to be rendered and included! We missed out on SO MUCH!!
while watching this, I just realized that you can still distinguish their original faces even in avatar form like its them but not really.... you know what I mean. JAMES CAMERON IS AWESOME!!!
God if only a FULL DIRECTOR MASTER cut with all the cutscenes mastered
4:35 People on the right have the dance down.
I wish we got more scenes like this with Jake interacting with the clan. It would have made such a bigger impact on him becoming a part of the Na'vi and then betraying their trust. Also in clans/tribes like this bonds between members are very important and deepened while eating/hunting/dancing together etc
why deleted scenes are always the funniest and most beautiful scenes I can't handle it 😭
Grace's little "Oh man." Lets you know the party has begun 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing. This film will always be my favourite.
Her: I think he's cheating
Me and the Boys at 2 AM: 1:15
We get a lot of character moments here from almost half the main cast
Definitely would have kept this one
Although I can see why rendering this in 2009 would have been hell
Ok the switch from finished shot to unfinished was jarring to say the least
Tsu'tey is so sweet 😍
Srane. Oe mllte
It's cool that they used a similar scene with those animals in the Avatar ride at Animal Kingdom since they weren't in the movie.
Please, at some point in the future make another version with ALL these deleted scenes, omg this movie has so much more depth to it.
This is now one of my favorite deleted scenes, they definitely should’ve kept this one
Fr and i really wanted to see the part where jake and neytiri danced so badly, i now actually hope maybe in avatar 3 there will come a dance scene where we will could fanilly see them dancing together
THEY SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THIS!!
They should’ve kept this scene because everyone get so much closer naturally so when the betrayal happens it hits harder
I'm sure they would've if it weren't for the runtime limit for IMAX at the time.
Hopefully with the new films on the way there will be an incentive to finish these scenes, some of them add to the film.
And now we're in an era where people really like extended editions.
I don’t care if the movie length is over 3 or 4 hours all the deleted scenes just makes the movie a lot more enjoyable
Will never understand why this wasn't kept in. 😭I would've broken my replay button by now lol
Wild how we can watch these scenes of the actors in these crazy suits and imagine them as Na'vi so easily. They all embodied their characters so well.
I liked the part where Neytiri said "hell yeah" haha
If Neytiri's parents knew they were falling in love, why didn't they do anything to stop it from happening before she and Jake got married? 4:29
That’s why they deleted this scene.
@@Rainbowhawk1993 I didn't understand
