Galing galing talaga ng Sec. Llamas kahit anong topic or pagusapan talagang kaya nyan bigyan kaliwanan mapa politika edukasyon social at economics, saan kapa ke Llamas na tayo for Senator.
100 % agree. Our system needs to change, pero never change. My parents migrate to California in the late 70s and I'm glad they made the right decision. California has the largest Filipino population in the US and 80% are middle class. Anyway, nice topic. God bless.
Filipinos are fortunate to have opportunities to work and travel to other countries. Filipinos have established a well deserved reputation of being competent and hard-working. Hopefully, if Filipinos decide to work overseaes it must be because they want to, not need to.
Kudos to earlier pilipinos ofw, ( now mga senior retired na ) who , very well represented Phil. abroad. despite early challenges. Now a days many nations appreciate pilipinos . Forever thanks and all glory to God, who is always there when we call in prayer. God bless Since you mention private hospitals One more prayer request ; Nawa mabawasan na an subrang greediness ng private hospitals dyan. Nawa mahanapan ng solution this urgent need. In Jesus name I pray.
The solution is very basic - more investments and more capital because they will require more laborers. A compensation or salary is simply a price of the service. Economic basics lang ito. The more demand for labor means increases in prices - increase in salaries and compensation which essentially is the price of service. How do you create demand for labor? You have to increase investments and capital inflows - more foreign and local investments o mga magnenegosyo sa bansa. This is why I am a supporter of economic cha-cha so the global community can participate in creating jobs. Bring the jobs to the Filipinos not bringing Filipinos to the jobs!
Nice breather idol guesting sec.ronald. at least po Yung mga taga Canada can still touch based with current political situation sa pinas. Nada pinas kaya Naman I'm an avid follower Ng show nyo, aside from magaling Kang journalist, kakasawa din po situation sa pinas both economic ,govt etc. Keep up the good work Follower po Ako Ng spot Pinoy. Mabuhay po kayo
Thanks Ina and Mr. Llamas for your good topic. I left Philippines because of economic reason. I used to work at NEDA under Marcos Sr. After martial I decided to go abroad because if I stay I cannot afford to send my kids to college. I can say that I made the right decision. My children are well of here I the U.S. Am still a Filipino and love our very own Philippines. Thanks Ina and Sir Ronald
Hi Ms. Ina...bitin naman yung discussion. Yeah, the rampant corruption was the very reason why I left the Phils. way back 2002. This was during the presidency of ERAP. I worked in a Japanese environmental company which at some degree pays well compared to my contemporaries. I'd even experienced to march in the street due to loss of confidence towards the direction where the Phils. was heading during his tenure. Corruption is already engrained from the top to the grassroots level at the time. I got so fed up, packed my bags and took the risk to migrate to Canada. And here I am, working for the City govt of Toronto (Toronto Water) practicing the profession I left behind 22yrs ago.
Pero di bale, we will have more of Sec Ronald. Salamat po! I agree with you, nakakadismaya talaga ang korapsyon sa Pinas. Corruption is entrenched hanggang sa pinakababa.
Si Sir is not the proto-type politician. Masarap syang pakinggan because he is a visionary. And of course, i admired his willingness to forgo his children practicing their respective profession outside Pinas.
Ang ganda ng topic. At saka yun mga examples niya talagang nanyayari. Yun mga anak niya abroad lahat kaya alam na this- Phils is in a bad state..
Hi, Ms. Ina! I'm in my early 40s and it's only now that I've changed my mind about not leaving the Philippines...It's for the kids na kasi...Better opportunities for them and yung quality of life...Hopefully, soonest na! Love this talk po!
I see that the Philippines is on a cusp of improving its economy by leaps and bounds. OFWs like myself would prefer moving back home especially being away for more than 2 decades. Like Sec Llamas, I too has a patriotic streak and realizing that the wanting to jump to the "greengrass" on the other side of the fence vs the one you are at, is really not addressing the wanting for the betterment of the next generation. As the saying goes "The grass is always greener when you water it", complaining and pointing fingers does not fix any of the issue, taking action and doing the right thing does it.
That issue has been going on for years pero nothing has change. Filipinos are a very adaptable people especially in a western culture like US, Canada and Australia because of our western influence. If you have a Professional skill in the US, your life is more comfortable. I live in the Bay Area, CA and you feel at home because there is huge population of Filipinos here. Yes, we visit the Philippines for vacation but all of my wife's and my immediate families are here in California, so our next generation will be here to stay. God bless.
The offspring of the global citizen (OFW)will save the next generation… Trained and graduates from across the world… North America… Europe and Asia🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Napaka interesting yung sinabi ni Ronald Llmas na ang education system natin ngayon are not producing bright Filipinos in spite of modern technology (computers, internet...smartphones) The Philippines in the 70s, 80s, 90s was in the midst of economic and political crisis (Martial Law, 1986 revolution) without the advantage of the internet and yet it was able to produce very smart Filipinos. Anong nangyari?
Dahilan sa kahirapan dyan sa Pilipinas….. masarap sana dyan sa Pinas dahil meron mga support system for the elderlies… kado Walang assistance sa gobierno sa mga nahihirap laluna medical assistance.. … ako nga 80 yrs old na at nakajawork pa as a xaregiver to a 96 yrs bold lady .. she is still ambulatory at nag swi swim panga ng 30 minutes nonestop… ang i am given veryyy good pay and travel benefit… i have been with the lady for 14 yrs now..
This is very informative vlog. Tbh, I work in a huge US org and they pull out in growing the Phi branch in their outsourcing initiatives and instead moved to India and Brazil COZ i noticed, the batches of Fil in BPO can speak English BUT CRITICAL THINKING is lacking, whis the Indians are really smart even if with accent, very SAD. Its the education in the Phil that needs to be fixed. The world is moving fast, English is not the only ticket, AI can transform language soon but CRITICAL THINKING cant’ be replaced hehe
tama po..for example our history education..we are trained to know so many unimportant details like dates and names..but we don't even know why jose rizal is our national hero..
..wala naman pong bansa na walang migrant worker...it is a choice to live and work abroad..its not only for better oppurtunities...kaya po walang makakapigil dito kung yumaman ang pilipinas maaring mbawasan po ang mangibang bansa...
Kami ng mga magkakapatid we decided just to stay in our country except for my brother lahat ng mga kamag anak namin nasa abroad, ok lng mas masarap parin sa Pinas.
One of tbe biggest issues the Philippines is facing for a long time now is the over population. The government cant sustain the needs of the people and supply will never be enough ( schools, hospitals , houses, etc)
Wow!
They can stay in Philippines kasi anything happen may sasalba sa kanila like when another pandemic happens.
I don't think so.

LLAMAS
Sending OFWs does not promote manufactured products for exports. It promotes money supply only for payments of debts created by our politicians.
