    Wow very helpful and clear! Showing the process on rhino was very helpful too. Thank you so much, very admirable that you managed to make a video after the stresses of the past week! I would have done nothing for a good week after haha

    Is there any website that explains the topography of the site ( for example if there's any slop in the site) ?

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  4 роки тому +1

      I'm not too sure about other locations, but where I live, our government provides contour maps of the state. If you look hard enough, I'm sure that you'll be able to find something similar.

    Anyone know how to define a road on a sloped site... there is only a 5 metre difference between East and west parts of the site but the road cuts diagonally across it. So tempted to pretend the site is flat but any advice will be welcomed..

    Hey, great video! Wehre do you suggest to purchase the cardboard from? Looks like you have used flat sheets.

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks a lot! Sometimes you have to get creative with modelling materials. I "borrowed" a few large cardboard boxes from work and cut them up for the large sheets. You can do this with removalist boxes, packing boxes or similar. Otherwise, check your local art shop, they might have some sheets

    Very cool, have you tried using a laser cutter for your landscape before?

      I have! To be honest, I wish I had done it for this project. I think it's great. I went full cheapskate here though ;)

    Hi, quick question: How do you manage to translate the contour lines onto actual card? Did you print everything out to scale?

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  3 роки тому +3

      Good question. You can measure it off the Rhino file and make a good "estimate" as to how to draw it on the card. Otherwise, you could export it to a photoshop file to the right paper size and then print that out, glue it onto the card and cut around the contour lines. That would be the more accurate method.

    hii .... I am unable to figure out .. please answer me ... so i am in 11th grade right now ... I am from india ... so i studied maths chemistry and physics till class 10th but .. then i dropped the sciences in 11th but i still have maths .... in India maths chemistry and physics is required till grade 12th to pursue architect ... so can i pursue it in usa without chemistry and physics ... if yes then please give the list of some colleges where chemistry nd physics is not needed ... thank u so much

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Tishya. I'm not too sure about the US but here in Australia there are no prerequisites to study architecture at uni. You might need a portfolio at the most, otherwise it's based off your score from 12th grade.
