Florence is where I am. I appreciate you showing my town because I'm not going to get out on the roads to have a look like some dummies and end up in a big ol ditch. 😂

      That's actually a wise choice.
In places where winter or snow is not a day to day encounter, it is understandable that people are not exactly prepared for it.
Refraining urself from going out not properly equipped, is helping by not putting urself at risk of becoming just another number in the statistics of accidents or even fatalities

My husband and I took turns pulling each other on sled behind his car , a Datsun Fairlady, and we had a blast! We had no problems at all. They say God looks after drunks and fools. Snow tires here may dry rot before you need them again. They are not practical. When snow is coming people try to get home before it gets bad. Those people probably couldn’t leave work early or were in med field jobs where they can’t stay home.

People need to keep this in mind because when the wet highways freeze that's when the black ice is there! Driving on those roads could be most deadly at that time!!

I can see that the snow or ice is melting. If a new cold front comes in, that will mean that that wet roadways will be like driving on black ice, and that is when the roads are most deadly! People need to keep this in mind because when the wet highways freeze that's when the black ice is there! Driving on those roads could be most deadly at that time!!
