These are real heroes. No veteran should ever have to live in a storage unit.
So very profound and moving.. If you never served you will never understand the bond we have!.
Still stand by this!
It's unbelievable how such men sacrifice so much for the sake of the nation and in the end they feel so forgotten by the very ones who needed them so much to fight our battles ,but when they need the nation to help them get through their struggles, we simply count them as another one on the list to face depression, unemployment and unfortunately suicide.
True that, all you wrote. while the bond (and scars) shared among those who gave is truly Special, unique. Sacred, the cornerstone & bedrock of any civilization & culture that has not been conquered by another. We're down to about 4% doing multiple tours vs WWII where nearly every able bodied male served.
Be blessed Devil Dogs. Thank you for all you've done.
So very profound and moving.
My advice to today's veterans: When you return from combat and are discharged, you still are on a mission. your goal is to live life the best you can, your country and family are depending on your strength - still. Don't do it, don't do it - that is go the route of suicide. If you do, you are like a loss in battle, given up to the enemy! Don't ever give up to the enemy!!
tough mission, another tough mission. not easy no matter how prepared, takes years. many years to get past scars. the reward of, see & recognize. the best way to serve your buddies waxed is to live the life they wished for. They'd hate to see you not.
Man that hurts my heart May god watch over his family.
In the USAF for 23 years - always felt good knowing U.S. Marines were not too far away. Respect
From this Marine retired thank you, the Air Force always treated us with respect.
Devon Jones, still packing that RTO and still callin it in on target.
Looking out for each other and the team.
Mister, you did a damn fine job and that, is , something to be proud of.
I hope you can get this and make a difference.

Just shows you how America takes care of others first, not their Veterans, not their citizens.
You never forget your time in combat and the buddies that you lost
Happy Veterans Day
This is my unit 2/8. I was there in the summer of 2009. I can say that all of us still thinking about that summer it will live on with us always. We are all still there for each other. We still get together as much as we can. We still have each others backs after 15 years. Those we lost will never be forgotten. While your here look up music artist Doc Todd ( He was one of our Corpsman) music video
"Not Alone". Semper Fi brothers till we meet again in Valhalla.
This makes me hurt for my guys. 13 brothers gone! Find a purpose after service, I know it's hard I have good days and bad, but your life is worth living. God Speed and Semper Fidelis!
Thank you for real life superhero. God bless yall.
As an Afghanistan Combat Vet I cried at the end with the suicide of Rory Hamill. Prayers for him, his family and his Marine Brothers. As a soldier to my Marine Brothers and All my Brothers and Sisters who served. We all have each other and many of us have been in that dark place. Reach out if you are in trouble. You have Brothers and Sisters who will be there. Stay in touch as I have with my teammates. NOT ONE MORE, 22 a day is 22 too many.....
Very Inspirational 🙏
Happy veterans day 🙌🏼
What wonderful Americans. I never served. This helps me to begin to understand what these guys went through, but I don't kid myself that I will never understand their experiences.
Its crazy how these men sacrificed so much and came home changed forever yet the government treats them like they’re nothing. It’s sickening..
Thank You ALL for Your SERVICE! .. DBC.. DAILY BLESSINGS COMING! .. Thank You ALL for Everything Everyday!! .. The Good, the Bad, the Happy, the Sad, I BELIEVE Everything happens for a Reason and im BLESSED WHATEVER HAPPENS! .... I've been Homeless before and it sucks.. I've Lost most of my Family members and when the last 2 are Gone, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!? ...
God Bless the Men and Women of the U.S. Military!
Thank you very much...they only person who actually acknowledged women.
Poignient. Heartbreaking. Yet hopeful that they all can come to terms with their demons. The remorse of survivor's guilt. The mental wounds that nobody can see heal slowly. God speed to all who served.
Thx, well said. It does take time, & patience by the family members of. it does happen eventually, and then they turn into Greatest Dad & Grandpa ever, celebrating Life w a smile, w greater appreciation than we
War and Peace are concepts.... tomorrow does not come without yesterday... freedom... is a responsibility....
Rest in Paradise Rory

Gosh dam my heart goes out to my fellow American soldiers I love my countrymen I never served but this moves my heart we should learn to respect our vets and not shun them from society or look at them different

Wars destroyed lives of dead and livings. No human shall hurt each other. Peace to all and it shall last forever
Living in a storage unit…..the system failed that marine.just like many of our vets they deserve better
We WERE supposed to be in Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam. Those societies needed the more progressed vibes of our country to influence them. They needed a taste of democracy and freedom... even if it was only for a few years. DO NOT underestimate the value of FREEDOM. Today in Ukraine many will die for it.
Absolutely tragic that Hamill couldn’t hold on to his own advice to get him through the dark days. I pray for his family and his fellow Marines.
So disappointing the government didn’t learn anything from the Soviet Afghan War, especially since they armed the Afghans back then!
Tell the next generation of young people to avoid wars. Politicians will never send their sons and daughters to fight unnecessary wars in far-away lands
Some gave some, Some gave all ! We all, all Americans love our Vets. Let The Lord lead you in the tough times. The Divive Shepard - Psalm 23 / The Lord is my Shepard, Ishall not want; He makes me lie down in green pastures. etc. very good. Take it to heart.
🙏
Invisible scars often cover the deepest wounds.
homelessness is a problem in itself, but there shouldn't be ANY homeless veterans. they deserve housing first before all other homeless.
Read Shakespeare's "Henry V" band of brothers speech.
I actually know Xiarhos' dad! What a small world!
No we don't. It used to be that way. Now there is NOTHING but resentment for most of us.
Semper Fidelis Marines
Yep
Marines reach out to your Brothers today. One of them might need to hear from you. You might need to hear from one of them.
The fact more of these men die from suicide then combat is disgusting
It’s not disgusting….its pain.
@@LEVELGAZANOW they should be getting all the help they need
and in crime never forget
Wow! So sad. So sad. As a Gulf War veteran I am with them. We should be helping them Donald Duck and Joe Biden. Versus illegals who cross our borders and getting free handouts. While our veterans are committing suicide in big numbers. Disgusting. Shut the border down! Help our homeless veterans!
Semper Fidelis my brother Marines until Valhalla!

Rory, your Family have a place to stay in Australia if they ever wish to come this way
Live a life that honors the friends that have passed. A life where if they see you from heaven or wherever, they will know they didn’t protect you in vain. They would want to see you in a good house & car with a beautiful family, but more importantly trying to succeed and doing what you can to make the world a better place. Find peace in Christ and his will. Semper Fi, may God be with you
all of those deaths for nothing
Yes my little country sent in our finest SAS and others. Yes little New Zealand was there as we were in Vietnam, Korea, WW2 etc. We were also fighting the Commies in places the US wasn't like Singapore, Borneo, Malaysia plus others.
My question is after 9/11 there is no doubt that we had to be there with our Buddies from the USA; but virtually all of the 9/11 Suicide Bombers were Saudis. So why didn't we attack Saudi?
GW Bush started so many wars! Why did he attack Afghanistan? History had proven that the Greeks couldn't do it, and the Romans couldn't do it, even the mighty British Empire could only do it for a short time, and then the mighty Soviet Empire couldn't do it so what the F was GW trying to prove....he had got all this global support after 9/11 and he had to find a war because that is what retribution looks like! Daah! Even the Russians helped us and the US.
And then Iraq and the WOMD?
This is what the GOP does to the US and us. And its next guy is Donald J Dump, an insurrectionist, a terrorist, it saddens me greatly to see what has happened to the US as it impacts us here in New Zealand. Donald Trump/Dump would betray the US and us all in a flash. Just listen to the lies out of his mouth!
The last great Republican President was Ronald Raegan. Donald Dump is amorally bankrupt human being living off his own excrement! Please USA its not just about your US its about our us.
Thank you for your service.
Side note:
The timing of this 60-minute release suggests we are on the brink of war now.
Or maybe because it's Veterans day weekend?

No respect until I see veterans with missing limbs all these guys are healthy and should be returned to the battlefield immediately
Why so much suicide? 6:00 - you send soldiers into a foreign land as an invader first, an occupier second. The cognitive dissonance of kicking in doors and shooting at people while they're defending their own homeland, then coming back stateside and being called a hero for those deeds while the images of your deeds flash before you nightly, keeping truth front and center. There is one script, just a changing cast of characters: MIC wants $, it needs young souls to grind up in exchange for $, those brave souls serve to protect their country yet then get sent to the other side of the world to liberate (invade) and do battle with insurgents (homeland defenders) for years and years with no victory in sight, all in exchange for platitudes and a quick erasure from history, dropped from cable news and speeches, to forget the losses, on to the next conflict (money pit). Number of U.S. soldiers killed in combat since 2001: 7,057. Number of U.S. soldiers who've committed suicide since 2001: 30,177. All the leadership has to say, during every mis-adventure to hell, (6:09) "You are going to change history." A few trillion $ down the tube, a few thousand U.S. dead, and the Taliban are richer and more powerful than ever before. MIC got theirs.
I did two tours in Iraq as a USMC infantryman. I knew many guys that did more tours in afghanistan. I personally did not lose any friends in combat, however, Ive lost at least five since then, if not more. I lost track. The last one was not long after the collapse of afghan in 2020. I will always wonder if its downfall caused him to take a fatal dose of drugs. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were truly a massive waste. We were all so eager to join after 9/11 and in retrospect it was all for nothing. You will find guys that try to justify it like in this video, but deep down inside they all know. Whatever helps them sleep at night I guess. I have considered, and still consider burning my uniforms and covering my USMC tattoo.

How did it feel to illegally invade a sovereign country? How did it feel when you heard there was no weapons of mass destruction, no chemical weapons, or any affiliation with Al-Qaeda? Do you feel responsible for destabilizing the entire region? What do you think about being mislead by your government? Do you think this was about freedom or oil?
Oil
How does it feel to be an asshole? Have some respect pal, these marines served their country valiantly. We owe it to them to treat them right and care for them when they get home regardless of whether or not we agree with the war.

God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
Jesus is God. Only faith in Him is salvation. Before Abraham was Jesus was. No one comes to the Father but by Jesus.
I will one day become the highest ranks US military veteran like retired 4 star major General mark milley, but let me cross the trouble Mexico border.
At some point these veterans must accept the fact that they lost. We lost. We lost in Iraq. We lost in Afghanistan. We lost. Accept it. Get over it. Get on with your life's work.
Where did you hear any Marine complaining about losing a war ?
Stop talking out your Ars
No one wins in Afghanistan.
Now think about million of poor civilians that were killed and imagine their trauma.
So you see the Taliban as heroes?
It is not the same for everybody. But all my squad wanted fire fights. Nothing better than that. Not even sex.
Man.. the end of this video hurts. RIP Rory. Hope is family is healing and his kids are taken care of.
It so did! Very sad to see 😢
Rory and I were great buddies, I was in IOC when I got the news he was dead. About a week before his suicide, he had lunch with my mom. Sucks man.

Praying for all of you Sir. I'm no military but I have a kid serving right now. I only got an ROTC training from high school to college but that's because we are required to defend our islands in the Pacific if worst comes to worst. I feel your pain. Stay strong and God bless. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.
They left out the part where, sorry but you losing your leg or legs isn't a disability to the VA. Or you haven't tried to off yourself times so your PTSD is denied. They need to do a story on the VA. And the Congress people claiming that VA benefits are to easy to get and to much money. We need to cut veterans benefits so we can send the money to Ukraine etc
Probably the best interview of the subject. Thank you for asking those questions. Brought this old Marine to tears
miss the clowns, dont miss the circus. no one will ever fully appreciate nor understand. thank you for your sacrifice my brothers in arms.

Military service is 'NEVER FORGOTTEN'
🕊️💜🎖️💜🕊️ ~~ deepest RESPECT.
I unfortunately disagree. In this country right now, the attitude seems to be that we gloss over the war of the last 20 years and sweep a lot of it under the rug. And I don't think that the legislature of our home really cares about vets, they just post on occasion and say what is deemd acceptable and expected. I encourage everyone to go back to Rory's interview and really take a look. Because that is a man that was fighting for his life, and ask yourselves if you can see it in his face or not. Please take care of yourselves. We are all Americans and this is a collective burden.
@@grant4360I think sadly I get where your coming from

22 vet take their own lives each day. I can tell you from firsthand experience that in the vet groups I’m in, it’s not uncommon to hear from at least one vet a day who isn’t in distress. This is the week before Thanksgiving 2023. It will only get worse in the next several weeks. Stay in touch with father’s, son’s, wives and daughters who have served.
They all need to run for Congress. The real threats to the U.S. are the oligarchs and their corporate politicians.
Dang you can tell the black Marine at the end was back at the moment his brother died when he paused for a few seconds he wasn't in the room with the interviewer, he was back on the battlefield
these guys only talk about it w brothers in arms who also served in combat. often it's the goofy stuff incl bureaucracy, or a green Lt.
