Gideon is one of the coolest people in the BoM. He’s more unknown, but he keeps popping up in these chapters doing incredible things; fighting king Noah, leading righteous men in battle, uncovering the priest’s unrighteousness kidnapping, proposing their escape plan, giving his life testifying of Christ!
Gideon drew the sword, Gideon died by the sword.
@@richardbarrow4620 I actually think the opposite. He drew the sword against King Noah but years later confronted Nehor, only this time… without a sword.
He went from trying to solve problems physically and with violence to solving problems with the word of God.
And while he gave his life in doing so, his actions, did in fact, lead to the end of Nehor.
He was humble too. So awesome
@@Thehusband exactly! He humble stood before the king when he told him about the wicked priests abducting the Lamanite daughters and then again when he proposed their plan of escape!
I am so happy to see someone reference Gideon! He is one of my favorites in the BoM. He understood his role and respected authority. While he was observant and a great strategist, he was ever arrogant.

There was a king Mosiah earlier on in the Book of Mormon. He is the father of King Benjamin
