Arrived at Regency La Toc 2 days ago....thats how long it took to get out and transfer somewhere else. The room was disgusting...the place is in complete need of a face lift. I could go on and on....the only nice thing is the staff. 😫😫
We stayed at Sandals Grande St Lucian 5 years ago for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We went over to the Sandals Regency La Toc for the day. It is a beautiful property but too hilly for my husband Andy and myself. St. Lucia is our favorite island in the Caribbean. We absolutely love Sandals as a brand. Enjoy your stay at Regency La Toc. Will you be going over to Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Grande St Lucian? Each property is so different. They each have their own vibe. Happy Travels to you both.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t travel to Halcyon Beach or Grande St. Lucian because of COVID protocol (resort exchange privileges are currently suspended). Love St. Lucia but I HATE the drive especially to Sandals Grande St Lucia. Close to 2 hours of windy, twisty and narrow roads. I didn’t think we would ever get there. I’ve been to 2 sandals resorts since and my number 1 question is how long is the drive from the airport.
Hi Erin! Thanks for watching! Honestly, we’re not sure. Everyone in our group said they were fine, so it wasn’t discussed further. The drivers are taxi drivers that are used by Sandals, but not actual Sandals employees, so there may not be a standard protocol. We would guess maybe trying to take the curves a little easier, or having you sit towards the front of the vehicle. We definitely recommend preparing yourself with medication or other means that will help you. We hope you have a great trip! :) Happy Travels!

As long as you don’t have any delays, you should be fine. Our biggest recommendations would be to study the airport map ahead of time, don’t be afraid to ask for help, and utilize the train to get from terminal to terminal (if necessary). :)
How much space and privacy do you get at sandals? Compared to a theme park or cruise vacation. Also what are the age restrictions at sandals, is it 18 or 21 since there is alcohol?
I have been to St Lucia several times. Only once at Sandals Grande St Lucian. We have many family members that travel there (pre-pandemic) every year. We have never heard of any of our family members having that issue. Maybe it is Covid-19 related. I don't know if the St Lucia Government gave the workers in the travel industry any help. My guess that they are just trying to survive. It is not excuse for them to treat guests that are coming to their country though. I would send and email to Sandals Corporate office and let them know. They may be able to address that issue that you and your travel partner, as well as Matt & Chelsy experienced. I do not think that they want their guests to be harassed. It is not the way to start a vacation. That does not reflect well on the island of St Lucia, especially if it is your first time on the island . If Sandals gets enough complaints, then my guess they will address it with the Airport Authority. It is one of the reasons why my husband Andy and I like the Sandals/Beaches brand everything is included and we don't want to be bothered with any of that nonsense. I really dislike pushy people, they turn me off and I just want to get way for them. It is the reason that we have not returned to Jamaica. We were harassed after leaving Dunn's River Falls. You have to pass through a market when exiting the falls area. A man came up to me and smiled and asked me my name and I said it. He then carved my name in the wood piece. When I said that I did not want it, they just would not leave us alone. Finally one of the men ran up behind me and grabbed me and yelled at me to by his merchandise. It really scared me, and turned me off on Jamaica. I am sorry that happened to you. By the way, I love your name (Annelise), it is a beautiful name.
