  • We both now run modular helmets. Alex is running the #simpson #modbandit while I run the #bell #SRTMODULAR. #simsponmodbaditreview So check out the video where we talk about why we run them and some of the features! Keep the rubber down and shiny up

Bell SRT best helmet I've owned. Absolutely love it!

Mmm personally this drink and ride thing seems to be a perticular American thing, I've never seen the need for it here in the UK, there is always a place to stop for rest breaks 🤷🏻‍♂️

First of all THIS IS AWESOME WE ARE ACROSS THE POND!!!! Second order is I think it depends on the riding. In the USA the touring bike reigns king. From the videos I have ever seen about UK not saying the bikes don’t exist, but i believe(could be wrong) that it’s more common to see smaller CC bikes as well as more of the “Softail” line vs the touring platform. One huge factor I think is the cultural differences. We do have plenty of spots for rest breaks but a lot of the time we are running 75/80MPH (120KPH/128KPH so call it 130KPH) for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 min or even longer. So food for thought is my 2011 Road glide gets about 200 miles(320 kilometers) to a tank (6 gal / 22.71L). It’s not uncommon for us to run the tank “dry” or close to it going 150-180 miles(241.4-289.68 Kilometers) in a stretch. So I think the want or need to have liquid refreshment is not uncommon. I know a lot of the time we stop ahead of schedule and will grab a drink, fuel, and restroom break. More often then not it’s nice to keep on the road and have a few sips of water wile your going. simpson fit true to size? im actually debating between these two helmets... any final thoughts for a decision?

Simpson was a pretty good fit. Final choice for me would be the Bell SRT Modular. The helmet has a lot less wind noise. Best thing to do is go to a local shop or store that sells both helmets and try them on. I bought a Shoei helmet (GT AIR) right when the GT AIR2 came out and I can’t stand it. It ends up sitting in the bag in my closet and pretty soon will be in a dumpster. Any other questions feel free to reach out! Simpson modular is the worst helmet for noise ever. Over all it looks good but practically useless
