Only what is simple can be cold ingenious. As an engineer I say this hoist actually IS ingenious! 👍 The e-bike really seems to be fun to ride. 😎 Cheers
Hi Thomas, It took us a little while to come up with the solution, but it is very good, and simple, as you say. It is great fun to ride, it almost feels like you are cheating a bit. Cheers, Karl
Another great video, very informative and as usual entertaining. I seem to have missed the part where you show Karl riding the bike too……. I’m sure many of us would find that very entertaining 😂. Video quality is outstanding once again too. Great work.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for watching and supporting us, we appreciate it. I thought Katty on the bike would be a better image than me riding around….😀 Cheers, Karl.
Sadly we don't have room for one of those bikes in our little truck, short of having to unpack it every time we stopped and secure it outside. That said, it could be fun to ride from home to the local shops to do our grocery run :-) Safe travels - A&J
Hi A&J, We first saw this bike being ridden to the shops. We chased the guy dow and asked about it. He was super happy with it and did not drive his car, just used the bike to travel the 10 km to the shops every second day or so. He had worn the tyres out in the last year, so we thought that was a good indication of the product quality. Cheers
Great idea, I do like the ebike, but $ 2800. A bit steep for me, do like that little crane /winch, nice job, good to left my 43 kilo wheels. Anyway nice job,👍
I have thought the same, then I did some research and bought a fortis 3 20” fat tyre folding e bike off the internet. I baulked at two to three grand for a bike. A bit of research brought me to the fortis bike. I bought it through Kogan for $799. It probably doesn’t have the warranty backup that other bikes have but at one third of the price I can handle that. It has a 12 month warranty with Kogan but I’m not sure what that’s worth. It is very similar in appearance to a lot of other bikes and I suspect they are all made in the same Chinese factory and have different features and badges put on them.
Thanks for the thorough review! For a minute there, I thought you were at the exact same campsite I was at a few weeks ago between Liparoo and Wemen on the Murray except for the picnic tables. I don't suppose you know how wide the Ant is folded? I wonder whether it would squeeze into a 600mm wide gap between the toolboxes on the back of the ute.
A problem with this bike is the distance from the chain guard / chain to the battery wall…… wet grit and sand can accumulate in between that gap., scratching the battery .
a quick suggestion, those 20" x 4.0" tyres are not imported by any of the regular Australian distributors of fat bikes, or bicycle tyres in general (I work in this industry) - so... if you can find someone that actually has them in stock... buy some spare tyres and tubes as soon as you can.
Great video guys thanks
We are glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and supporting us. Cheers Karl & katty
Another great video, thank you Katty & Karl
Our pleasure!
Love to see big kids enjoying themselves, lol.
Yep, it’s good fun 👍

Hey Roger, it is a good feeling when you ride it, it makes you smile, 😊

Hi there quedecree,
The bike is 540mm wide folded, so it would fit.👍

Hey Greg, haven't had a problem yet but understand what you mean. Cheers Katty

Thanks for the tip.
So now you have an Isuzu land boat
Gday John,
We have had the truck for
2 years now, and it is great.
