@@azharkhn867 Thanks. Sony IC is no more used in 5- band radios today. But CD 1691IC is also not bad. However, the circuit is still Sony though pcb is made at Delhi by cheap manufacturers. Last year I saw Deltron and Pagaria (Creta) with CD IC. Good performance. Deltron Thar 2 , 3-band has also improved the plastic quality with a good indicator. (Search offline in some parts dealers or small audio dealers) The New Champion is very good in MW/FM
@@Akhilvlogpoint Yes. Those who are acquainted with analog tunning will find this DSP chip radio very disappointing. You will skip the stations when they are there. But no such problem in FM. What is your opinion on SW performance of these sets. Which one the best?
@@pradeepkumarpanda7626 Sir, it is skipping station on FM too but for that you must tune the FM station having weaker reception .. and this is the case with all DSP radio having Analog tuning. In your video, I found your philettina performed better than your IC radio and then New Philips champion
@@Akhilvlogpoint And with cells the transistor set will perform more better than all. See, this is 40 year old all transistor set. And it was a low-middle end radio of those days (about Rs 400/- in 1983-84). There were wonderful portable radios like Commander/ Skipper with fine-tune and tone knobs to adjust with weather change/disturbance. And Commander /Skipper/ Telefunken of 1970s were dream sets. The nicest one was the Philetta 312 of early 70s with a vertical sunmica stripe on it. Oh, yes, there was the Prince set. But the smaller 1970 model the best.
The audio level is very low as volume level was kept low for better tunning. Please adjust your mobile phone audio high.
