One of the best shows. It take a special person to do what Brett Deyo does and to be so open about the good days and the bad days. Thank you Mandee, Billy and Brett.

Absolutely blown away at his dedication to the sport. Thank you Brett Deyo for your leadership in the sport. Thank you Mandee and Billy for a great episode. I have realized how much I have forgotten about the sport, that was a lot of info.

Excellent podcast! As a fan of dirt track racing I never thought about the “behind the scenes” aspects of the show. I know that I looked forward to the October race at Port Royal and was disappointed when it was postponed two years ago, and ran last March. But the crowds didn’t disappoint. Seemed like a packed house in March compared to the October races. Being what I believe to be the first modified race of the year, I know I’ll be there. Hope to see you guys there….

I've been going to fonda and Malta For over 60 years I've seen a lot of promoters come and go taking care of the fans and racers Is extremely difficult at best When I saw the purses brett was paying I wondered how it was possible I applaud him for sticking it out And keeping local racing ongoing hope the new clay at Fonda works out Hope you have a great season.

I really like Brett Deyo's vision. Can't remember the lady's name running the Rush series but she is doing exactly what Brett is saying and look how many follow that series. These 2 need to get the Lucas oil and WWO series to get into the same thinking. For God's sack, they need to fix their body's too...

It appears few of the top drivers are supporting Brett, and more should, and the regular Saturday night drivers fill most of the fields. That's a real shame and I assume it's because the races are mostly midweek. Fans go to see the out of the area drivers and cars show up and not enough fans come out when they do! They should support these Series by planting butts in the seats !
Since Covid, fan attendance appears down even on Saturday nights than I can remember, so it's not just special series.
What pisses me off is that you cannot go to any sporting event and be entertained as cheaply as a dirt race when you think about it. Any other sport charges more for PARKING than an event at a local dirt track costs to get in !
What I see as a true positive is at my age, I'm seeing young fans in the stands and families, and lots of young drivers in the cars too. That brings life to the sport we love.

It starts with the cost of racing. Racing is expensive. Therefore less people are racing. Less racers means smaller fields, means tracks have to close. Not to mention that fans don't have the money to make it to the track every week.

Bottom Feeders - classic... Tough buisness. Wouldn't want to be in Brett's shoes, that's for sure. Loosing proposition from the get go. Great perspective hearing it come from his mouth.... *You've triggered the bottom feeders again. Bravo! Very sensitive bunch considering how much 💩 talking they do.

If you want some really good advice, you need to run a program in about 3 hours. Let’s put it this way starting a feature race at 9:30 or 10 o’clock is ridiculous. It’s ridiculous to finish a night at 11 or midnight is ridiculous. I am not coming out on a weeknight and live within 30 or 40 minutes of a track and get home at 1 AM in the morning.

    • @heisenburg1144

lol ..stay home then watch the race on floracing .. who do you see running a race program all in 3 hours?? not nascar ,not world of outlaws ,not high limit , maybe if you have only 2 classes of cars but what kind of show is that ?
