  • Welcome to the all-new show with your favorite couple: Dale and Amy Earnhardt! Bless Your 'Hardt is all about the hilarious antics, heartfelt stories, and everyday moments of the Earnhardt family. Each week, Dale and Amy sit down to share their sides of the life they’ve built together-and if this first episode is any indication, you won’t be able to get enough!
    In this debut, Dale and Amy cover everything from the daddy-daughter dance to the dilemma of picking which artwork of their daughters stays -- and which gets thrown out. Surprise, Dale also shares his take on video games (including what his daily routine looked like as a bachelor), and they play We Listen and We Don’t Judge-where things get interesting fast. Oh, and yes, squishy grapes come up too.
    Don’t miss this fun, real, and unfiltered conversation!

    I think Dale is just proud of his wife and probably likes to just stare at her anyway lol 😆

      I was thinking something similar- no guile or meanness towards Amy but I don’t think she gets how enraptured Dale is with her in some areas.

      I have been married 52 years, and I still like to just look at her sometimes. Sometimes, she will say, "What are you looking at me for. And I say I just like to look at you.
      Stay safe, and God bless.

    Really enjoyed this - in April my wife and I celebrate 51 years together. There's no road map or blueprint - we all have to figure it out for ourselves. I'd offer this to Amy - re: El Camino and kids. I was one of 5, dad was a car guy with no hope for having the cars he wanted until we were all grown. He had friends that had cool cars that he'd borrow. And he'd take us for a ride - ALWAYS one at a time. So each of us had our one-on-one moment in a cool car with Dad. Don't think you have to take them both - don't think you can't take the car out unless they both go. Make it a special moment and take them one at a time. Those can be moments they'll remember for the rest of their lives.

    As a 30 year married man, let me give you some advice. Silence kills. Eventually that silence will lead to emotional distance and that leads to divorce. You'll also teach your kids to be conflict avoidant.
    Communication is the key to a long, successful marriage. Dale Jr. I've heard you say you didn't think your dad loved you because he didn't show it. You're doing the same thing when you ignore the needs and emotions of your wife, and she does the same to you. Silent treatment is a problem, big time. 30 minutes to cool off is one thing, but don't do the week silent treatments.

    • @leonopterix981
      @leonopterix981 4 дні тому +1

      I don’t think any of those things are a problem for them. It’s pretty obvious to me that they know what their faults are

    • @wolfman8449
      @wolfman8449 3 дні тому

      You're right in a lot of cases. In this case he is a middle aged video game addict and decent family man so he probably won't cheat. She seems to be a sincere christian mom type. Passionless marriage? likely but they both seem to be comfortable in their relationship without a lot of red flags.
      Boring doesn't necessarily mean bad, at least it's consistent and comfortable, a lot of us just come from rough situations so we see things more extreme because of our experiences. Some people are fine living this way.

      @CNC-Time-Lapse 2 дні тому +2

      I appreciate this comment. My wife and I do the silent treatment and I avoid the hard conversations where she is the one to bring it up finally. I need to work on this one.

    • @hurricaneaquatics
      @hurricaneaquatics 2 дні тому +1

      @CNC-Time-Lapse Yes, it is very hurtful to your wife when you avoid conversations as you're avoiding accountability and it makes her feel not validated. You can do it, just go to her and tell her what you said here. Tell her you recognize it and you're going to change it. She'll probably be very happy. Recognizing you have that issue is very good.

    • @dirtyswar
      @dirtyswar День тому

      Absolutely it's very contingent on the couple's personalities. My wife and I can do the silent thing and still have understanding of each other's feelings/needs.

    It’s nice that Amy is actually patient with the video games. People perceive the disdain for it from her as her being close minded but that’s the thing, she doesn’t have to like it. She loves Dale and puts up with it, both knowing she doesn’t have to like it. That’s a healthy thing. Some ground was definitely gained in communicating that it can be paused and doesn’t take priority. That was amazing to see happen.

    Amy reminds me so much of my wife that it's kind of spooky. I am a writer, so some weeks I make spend 80+ hours in my office working. Since my office is at home, I help take care of the house, kids, cooking, shopping, etc., and she is a stay at home Mom, but at least 2-3 times a week she can't help but let me know how crazy my work schedule is and that I spend too much time in the office and I get the feeling that it is really a control issue for her. I could understand if I wasn't helping with absolutely everything, but since I do as much and even more in some cases than she does around the house, I feel it really getting to me.

But he is still single!

    Thank you so much for this. It's part of why we love Jr. so much: he let's us in, and we get to see how much they're like us. It's really amazing these days to see such a huge celebrity be so open and humble. Now that I got that out, and this doesn't make me look like such a creep, but I'll never get over how breathtaking Amy is (oh, and super cool). Dale is spot on about video games and Amy is being pretty close minded about them. You don't have to like someone's hobby, that doesn't make it silly or for kids. Let people have their joy and stop trying to put it in some box that you've created in your mind.

    I agree with Dale about the grocery store trips. I grew up going with my parents and if we were lucky/if there was enough money we got to pick Brachs candy from the little display with several types of candy and you a brown paper bag. My wife is 35 years old and buys American Girl dolls and accessories and likes to dress them up and play with them. We have 4 kids all adopted from foster care. I guess I'll tell her to stop playing with dolls because they are toys if I cannot play video games because they are a toy. Who cares? Why are we so quick to judge what others like to do in their spare time. You don't have to like the hobby, but don't demean it either as a waste of time. Watching TV can be the same thing but we don't judge that as harshly. As long as its in its proper time and place who cares.

    Amy my mother had MS so my dad did the grocery shopping every Friday night with one of their four kids, afterwards we went across the street to the for a pop and a donut at the local cafe. If Dale wants to do it let him I'm 68 and it's still a great memory. The only scary thing is your food budget will fall apart because we men usually add all the unhealthy things that aren't on the list. I'm retired so I've been shopping with my wife, I drive her nuts, I'm always hearing we don't need that, sorry I'm buying it anyway. Loved you folks new show!

She would get behind the wheel and tear it up! It was awesome! Dale, if you love video games, find one you both can enjoy! It will take some of that pressure off both of you!!!

    Enjoyed this. My husband says he relates to Amy and I am more like Dale. Especially the eating on the couch (though I am not that messy).
    Looking forward to hearing about the grocery shopping with the kids from Dale. I know Amy will appreciate it!

    Nice show. Glad to see command since talked about. Nice to see a couple do the things for each other. Shame our government cant get along as well as you to do. Good job of letting kids be kids and still guiding them down the right path. Will watch more as long as you keep it real . I will be 57 next month been married since May of 92 and we have one girl 31. Family and togetherness is always first when possible. Alone time is always needed as well.
    Can't wait to see you drive again this year. I've seen you win in the Bush car at IRP and St. Louis and one cup race at Talladaga. I have not been to a race since Bristol 04 fall race (first and only time, was awesome to see). Good luck at the Daytona 500 ! wood be awesome to see you all win your first cup race ever ran.

    Amy - Im with Dale on this one and will be in the supermarket with you poking grapes - no squishy ones!! 😂

  • @calebduprest6438
    @calebduprest6438 4 дні тому

    Dale is right about the grapes. I'm an in-store shopper for a living, Poking for grapes is a daily occurrence. Over time I have learned how to pick out the best bag of grapes just by eyeballing it. They do have a certain look to them. The best oranges can be picked out, too. The best oranges are squishy with smooth skin.

    Can't stop laughing. Brings back memories of ourselves throughout our lives. Some publix has miniature grocery carts that our 4 year old grandson loves to push around the store. Keep it up.

    I’m with Jr on the grocery shopping. It is the perfect place for kids to learn 1. How to behave in public, 2. How to not get lost in the store, 3. How to not get trapped by the flashy items on the end cap or in the checkout line, 4. How to appreciate the person ringing up your items and the guy bagging them, and 5. How to not run out the front of the store and get run over by traffic.

    Lots of awesome conversation! Love when Amy started coming on DJD because she brought a perspective that wasn't always race driven or guy stuff. Conversation between couples is important and this is a fun way for us viewers to learn some things about ourselves as they go through things. My favorite is when Amy was talking about mouth tape when she sleeps and Jr. said it will make it tough to be intimate lol. The pure reaction Amy had with an instant laugh was so fun to see was the best! I'm glad y'all decided to try this direction and I wish you the best as always.

    Dale ! Listen to Amy. Amy, be patient with Dale. You both are great for each other. The children? Well, I know they are growing up in a world we never had to deal with. The media influences all of us. I loved hearing Amy say she likes her girls come in either dirt under their nails. I don’t have children. It’s sometimes my biggest regret. But sometimes my biggest relief.

    Just a few thoughts - best advice I ever got was don't be nervous + be yourself (I'd then get nervous to think but what if I'm not saying the right thing - but it's just be the best version of yourself you can on any given day ; ) Also the dynamic you had with Andrew + Dalton there was great to chime in - plus you had that comfort from last years shows that were funny, if you consider bringing one or both of them back - also how about a cocktail table in front of your chairs + you end the show with a toast of cheers - could be a new drink recipe you share or whatever, would look a little more comfortable too, to end on a positive note! (also works in the Sundrop, Bud, and Highrock brands), maybe bring in that deviled eggs specialty to try one week, Your Grandma Martha's sundrop cake, her potatoe salad - etc, creating an interactive family style ending! Martha in Miami : ) PS Being Italian I like a food segment haha and I do think you can segway into a lifestyle type show - good luck 🍀 🍹 💃🕺
