    Something that is really great too, (and I didn't see it covered) are the dimensions: 17 x 53 x 32 cm / 6.7 x 21 x 12.6 in.
    A standard carry-on luggage size allowance in economy class is 25 x 55 x 35 cm / 7.5 x 21.5 x 13.5 in (max).
    So you don't have to check it. Which is nice.

    Many great ideas and thoughts put into this back. One thing that's missing is a shoulder strap to carry it like a duffle. I use it quite often on my eBags Mother Lode backpack.

  • @ForeverUSA88
    @ForeverUSA88 3 роки тому +30

    I used their first generation Pakt duffle bag for travel to Central Asia. The bag with all its utilizing features which makes the traveling seem much organized, and effortless, however nobody talks about the weight of the bag. I only picked my essential belongings for a week of travel and the bag got very heavy to carry. During my connecting flights, I almost injured my shoulders in massive airports looking for my connecting gates, while having the bag hanging on my shoulder.
    At that time, how I wished if the bag had pair of wheels like those carry on small luggage’s.

    • @bk99911
      @bk99911 Рік тому +1

      The mistake you made was using a duffel bag for travel! You most likely would have had no problems with a proper two strap backpack, in particular one with a hip belt like in this video. Duffel bags while fashionable are just a terrible idea. There is a reason why no one uses duffel bags for hiking! Wheel bags are ok, but suffer when travelling around cobble stoned European cities and the weight of the wheels takes from your travel allowance. Get yourself a proper backpack.

    Excellent review. I’ve had my Minaal 2.0 since their original kickstarter. That bag has been around the world several times and seen more action than Jason Statham. It is starting to look it’s age and this is the Pakt is the closest thing to what I need. I have a big 17” laptop, so making sure that can fit and is secure is the number one priority. All said, great bag.

    It’s deff a cool bag. However haha I just generally don’t like clamshell openings. I feel like opening the bag in the hostel you just take up so much space and things just fall out of the bag, or if you’re in the car and need to dig for something in the bag or at the airport etc etc. But I also don’t like traditional style backpacks where I can’t find what I’m looking for because I can’t see what’s in my bag. I wish there would be a travel bag that was sturdy and had that awesome back panel with all the cool hidden pockets and maybe a laptop compartment on the back and incorporated those front pockets but somehow also had a U shape opening like the Aeronaut Tom Bihn bags. I know it’s very specific and probably not something the masses want 😅

    • @RushfasterTV

    How does this compare to the Able Carry Max in capacity? I know they are both 30L, but do you think you can fit the same items in your Pakt video into the Able Carry Max? Seems like the Pakt is larger compared to the Able Carry even though both are advertised as 30L. Which one would you prefer if you needed to pack as many items as possible and in general which one do you prefer between the two? I own the Peak Design travel bag as well, but wanted to travel with a slightly smaller bag. Plus, aesthetics wise I prefer the Able Carry over the Peak Design and Pakt. I was also considering the Synik 30, but decided to go for the Able Carry.

    • @arlencarlson
      @arlencarlson Рік тому

      Pakt actually claims this bag to be 34L now. And they are weeks away from pre-order of a slightly larger version and an even larger version too. FYI--I have the Able Carry Max. One trip with it so far. However, I find myself also eyeing the Pakt...since I think it is a more true travel backpack.

    My real question about this bag is, does it fit underneath the plane seats? Would be nice to have this and a 4 wheel spinner, would save me money for a check in luggage.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Рік тому

      The Pakt Travel Backpack can fit under plane seats, as you're interested in combining it with a 4-wheel spinner to save on check-in luggage costs. The backpack is designed as a carry-on and should generally fit overhead bins, but fitting under seats could vary depending on the airline and aircraft. This two-bag strategy seems practical for accessible essentials and convenience during travel, but make sure to check both bags' dimensions and airline guidelines.

      A standard carry-on luggage size allowance in economy class is 25 x 55 x 35 cm / 7.5 x 21.5 x 13.5 in (max).

      I like the design for sure. But is concerned that it might be too big for an average lady to carry around + the bag is already 1.5kg on its own. Isn't it a little heavy as a carry on as allowed weight for carry on is about 7kg

    • @machelvet9594
      @machelvet9594 3 роки тому

      @@beyumpie4423 I've made the experience that most carriers don't bother too much about the weight if you don't have any suitcases. And in the worst case you can check it if they don't let you bring it in the cabin.
      The only problem I can see is, if you take a local flight that charges for each checked bag. What happens is, that you think you can take it as carry-on and then they don't allow you and on top of that, they charge you with baggage fees. One way to get around this is to always carry a small bag in the backpack. You put all the heavy things in it, - get the backpack down to 7kg and walk in with a carry-on and a handbag.

    • @Minecraftrok999
      @Minecraftrok999 Рік тому

      @@beyumpie4423 the thing is, I have never seen an airline operator weigh a carry on bag in Europe.
      I know that asian airlines are more limiting on the carry on weight, but I don't know if they actually check it.
      In fact a backpack will be mostly ignored by airline staff, they mostly control hard Case and duffel bags on size if they control anything at all.
      At least that was my experience.

    Great review and channel. I know everything in this is just a quick example but I never see anyone pack a 2nd pair of shoes. I’m looking at something for a 3-4 day carry with a pair. Do others just not bring a 2nd?

    • @davidjoseph4459
      @davidjoseph4459 2 роки тому +1

      I have traveled to over 90 countries. The only pair of shoes I will store in my bag are flat sandals/flip flops. It’s too heavy and too much space to take another pair of shoes. I usually travel with white or black leather shoes that are basically sneakers but in black dress up any outfit.
      Also, I have over 50 bags. I would say if you’re set on taking an extra pair of shoes, buy a bag that has a separate shoe compartment. Like the ASR Travel Pack 2 backpack.
      Most of the bags are made well nowadays. The things I would look for are an aesthetic you like, size to fit your destination’s needs, and consider protecting your stuff. For example, in Southeast Asia, most airlines only allow 15lbs of a carry on bag. Not much weight. So smaller is better. If traveling to South America, want something that allows you to stay less obvious. No big logos. When in Europe, look for lockable zippers as the pickpockets are horrendous. If heading to cold weather, you need a bigger bag. When going to warm weather a smaller bag makes sense. Finally, buy yourself some Merino Wool clothing. At least two shirts from a company like Wool & Prince. Two pairs of underwear in Merino Wool. And two pairs of socks in a Merino Wool blend. Then take a pair of travel pants that can be dressed up or down. And take as little tech equipment as possible. If you don’t need a laptop, make an iPad work.
      Best wishes with your quest. I look at every adventure as a way to learn about new cultures, people, religions, and destinations. I used to buy a different bag for each trip. Now while I have many bags, I really only rotate among my favorite four or five bags.

    Does the encase fit well on the pakt backpack? I am going on a trip and it might rain.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  Рік тому

      Hi Jonathan! I'm not sure if the encase fits well on the Pakt backpack. Have you tried looking up reviews or asking on forums for people who have used them together? It's always a good idea to prepare for rain when traveling, so it's great that you're thinking ahead! I suggest checking the dimensions to see if the encase will fit properly. I hope that helps!

    How would you pack clothes AND some camera gear in this?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah I don't really think it's built for heavy camera carry. You could get away with a mirrorless build. There are few compartment where you could store gear but yeah not really built for camera carry. - Ed

    I love the water bottle pocket. The rufksack I have has one made out of mesh and it broke a while later 😭
    Adjustable sternum strap 😍😍 I have small boobs but those straps still annoy the hell out of me. I wish my rucksacks had an adjustable one.

    Pakt travel or peak design travel? I'm torn between the 2.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 роки тому +1

      Dang dude that is a tricky one. Both are excellent travel backpacks and provide their own benefits. The PD Travel backpack has a lot more features (especially good if you're using camera gear) and is a lot more straightforward in the packing aspect. However the Pakt Travel Backpack also has a really good clamshell design that works really well to access gear when at your destination. Hope that helps - Ed

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 роки тому +3

      Hey Kenneth, the bag carries reasonably well. There's good padding and sufficient support for a 7-day travel trip. Most of our videos are in-depth walkthrough of every feature and compartment of a product. Yes most of the information would be available on a product website, but we like to package all that info in a full-length product walkthrough so people can visually get a better sense of the bag and it's functions. Hope that helps - Ed

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 роки тому +3

      Personally I wouldn't use this as a daily backpack or for school. The main compartment is really meant to be for travel and storing your clothes and things like that. There are lots of other bags out there that offer better organisation for daily use. You can check out our other videos on our channel. Hope that helps - Ed

    Really hoping Chase can go back to the drawing board and figure this one out. Over designed and too damn heavy. Get rid of the sling bag shit please, that's the first thing that needs to go. This thing has a lot of potential but they need to streamline it like the Aer 3 bag.

      I appreciate your feedback on the Pakt travel backpack. Durable and reliable zippers are certainly important, especially for a backpack that costs over $300. You might want to check out this video, which might help you find the right travel backpack: ua-cam.com/video/3Vq7_ADI4oA/v-deo.html. I hope that you were able to find a backpack that met your needs and expectations. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
